A hidden gem worth exploring. This cute cafe has exclusively outdoor seating and when you enter to order, it's right inside of their bakery. I ordered the squash sandwich and a turmeric tonic. It came with chips and a pickle and was filling and delicious. Service was also great. It's the perfect little casual spot to meet a friend off of Abercorn so it feels very cozy. After having gone here for two years and speaking with others who have gone, I have now the statistical power to declare that Sixby employees treat certain customers with disdain. Prepare to receive their subtle jests--a sardonic "Have a great day!", pretending to forget to make your order, a condescending smile after their senseless remarks pass a confused customer. It will never be something bold. What is interesting is that they quite dote on certain customers, so much so that their pretended lack of familiarity with us unfortunates is loud and heavy throughout the room. I cannot identify what separates those saintlike customers from a degenerate like myself. Perhaps the employees were displeased that I did not tip them for handing me a pastry. Here is the custom in our country. "If you eat before you pay (restaurant), then you tip. If you pay before you eat (Chipotle, McDonald's, Sixby, whose employees are paid a true hourly wage), then you do not tip." Would the Sixbyites have us tip McDonalds order kiosks too? Or perhaps these enlightened employees dislike the way that I look or speak, and see an identity where an individual stands. Or maybe the capricious wind was blowing a certain way the first day I entered their holy chambers, forever relegating me into the ghetto of those they scorn. What a wonderful little hidden gem. Absolutely loved the food and the sammiches! Egg custard is different but very delicious and the ricotta jam toast was pretty delicious. The chicken sausage biscuit was very yummy! Highly recommend go check it out! We will be back for sure. Pretty pricey , but that's anywhere really. The orange juice I feel could be a little bit bigger for the price but it's yummy ! Maybe the portion sizes are what we're suppose to have ! Maybe that's why we're all fat and chunky ! This places knows how much we should really have :D People were super friendly and recommended wonderful things to try! We got to try some chocolate zucchini bread and it was so good ! Food was decent. But the owner rang our order got the order wrong. Gave us coffee instead of chai and a whole different sandwich. Instead of asking us what we'd like to do about it she left and we waited another 20 mintues for the right sandwich. We didn't tell her about the chai. This place is a shitshow. A nice Sunday brunch turned into 40 of waiting for food surrounded by wine moms and children. Do not go unless you have or like children. read more

I really wanted to like this place! Fresh bread looks amazing. I paid $34 for a breakfast sandwich and a BLT and 2 iced coffees. The coffees were made and sat for 25 minutes getting watered down while I waited for my to go food. Different breads available different days. Thursday is my favorite with the multi seated but they have baguettes every day which are out of this world (one of the few places that don't use a sourdough starter, tastes like a baguette should). Might have a little trouble finding it but it's worth it. Pick up window in the back plenty of seating outside and they even put a blanket on the chair When it was so cold in January. This restaurant was recommended for lunch by some staff members at Common Thread Restaurant in Savannah. It was a ways from the river so we too a lift, $10. Upon arriving,we noticed there was only outdoor seating, which was fine since it was a nice day out. The menu is extremely small, and included a few salads and sandwiches. My spouse had an Italian Sandwich which came with chips. I had the Beet Salad with an egg on top. The sandwich was ok, nothing to rave about. The beet salad was minuscule, with a small mound of arugula, beets, cucumbers, etc. This definitely wasn't what I would consider to be an entree sized salad. It was good, just not enough. Dservice was fine. And then another $10ride back. Was everything fresh? Yes. Was everything overpriced? Yes. Would I go back? No. Case closed. read more

You walk in and there's a small counter to place orders while the rest of the cafe is a kitchen and the smell of really good bread is all around. Latte was great, shakerato (espresso, milk, and sugar shaken over ice) was also great and barista was happy to add sweetness to the desired liking. Very no frills, straight to the point which I love. I've been to this little gem a few times. It is becoming my go to lunch place. I don't love frisée, BUT the pear salad with frisée , parmigiana, pumpkin seeds is lovely. The Salmon Tartine on their sourdough is top flight. I look forward to trying out the entire menu . Don't forget to take home a loaf of sourdough or a baguette.
