This place is fairly deep and has arcade games as well in the back. There is a large selection of beers... some of it theirs and others from NC. We tried several beers over the weekend at different places and this one was the one that had the ones we liked the best. They have an excellent amber lager called Lily(which unfortunately they do not bottle or can) and a lager called Dance in the Sun. We came back on the second day there just to have another beer! So to the Heckler crew, thank you for keeping it simple. This visit I had the Fried Pickles which if being honest were good but they're not the best I've had. If I could give a recommendation I would move away from the breading that's being used as I feel it takes away from the actual pickle which for me is about 90% of the taste profile. The breading was a bit overpowering. Sometimes simple is better. But that's just my opinion as a fried pickle enthusiast. Now as for the pizza, I have to give a solid high five. I've been here three times and everytime I've gotten a pizza and none have disappointed. This time around I got the meat lovers and it was fresh, and delicious. Overall, Heckler is a great place to go and one thing I do love about this place is that it's always a chill vibe, with great service.

Bartender was very nice & attentive. Reuben rolls were very good. $12 for three rolls. Irish 'poutine' was disappointing: very soupy shredded beef over fries means soggy fries. Cheese on top was feta - how is this Irish or poutine? Served boiling hot. Guinness stew was nothing more than shredded beef (I think it's the same thing that was poured over our fries) with a slice of cooked carrot. I wouldn't be afraid to go again, but I'll try other restaurants in the area first.
