I love Ren! Weekends get busy before 10 but patio is lovely if it's not too hot! A great place to study, or the more full bakery next door (this one has food but is the OG location). Shoutout to Sam for a wonderful americano!
I have always heard good things about Ren and finally had the chance to try it out yesterday with a group of friends. Almost all of us ordered the Bagel Breakfast sandwich. I ordered mine on a gluten free everything bagel and I am honestly not sure if it was gluten free or not. Since I only have a minor sensitivity I didn't think too hard about it, but it did taste like a regular bagel. If it was gluten free then this was a great gluten free bagel! Three of our orders came out before the other two, and they told us they would bring the food to our table when it came out. We chose to sit outside, since the inside was full. After several minutes had passed, and the rest of our food hadn't come out, we went in to see our food had just been sitting on the counter. This was probably a miscommunication of some sort, but I do wonder how long they would have let the food sit there if we hadn't come in. The sandwich was good, but it did taste like something I could make at home. I would need to try more menu items at Ren in order to get a better idea, but the rest of their menu and bakery case does look promising!
Perfect weather lately for enjoying a nice breakfast in the courtyard. We ordered the breakfast sandwich which was delicious. It didn't taste too heavy at all, and seemed thoughtfully made and seasoned. For drinks I ordered the Mexican coffee expecting a bit of a kick but I didn't really get that. We also got the mushroom latte which was pretty good too! Looking forward to visiting again.
My favorite bakery in Tucson, hands down. I ran in for a bagel and got completely distracted by this $8 focaccia sandwich layered with fig jam, arugula, mozzarella, and prosciutto - naturally sweet peppery and creamy chewy dream come true! I have a deep appreciation for chefs who can turn simple ingredients into something this delicious. The bread is absolutely the star of the show, but the balance of flavors and textures makes every bite comforting, satisfying, and memorable. Sometimes the simplest sandwiches are the hardest to perfect--and they nailed it.
Located in St Phillip's plaza, REN shares the beautiful fountain courtyard with other shops in the plaza. The Saturday morning I went, the plaza was busy with a vendor faire setup and groups of cyclists. I think there's a bike trail nearby. I had to park in the back near Homewood suites. The counter to order is right at the door so it felt cramped and hard to see the menu. Inside there were about 10 tables and I noticed tables in the shared courtyard outside. I ordered a Cafe Miel to go (latte with honey and cinnamon) and the muffin of the day. The latte was strong and balance well with the cinnamon and just the right sweetness from the coffee. The muffin was delicious and filling. I noticed a Ren Bakery 2 shops over but when I peeked in it didn't look any different
Updating my review to include a photo of the delicious pear, goat cheese, and fig bagel! I've been wanting to try this for a while and it did not disappoint. We came on a very busy Saturday morning, but the line moved fast enough, our coffee came out quickly and was delicious, and our food came out surprisingly fast despite the crowd! We were able to find comfortable seating out on the shaded patio that was perfect for our group. Love Ren!
Cute spot in the corner of St Phillips Plaza. Finding Sunday morning coffee and grub spots that open before 7 can be difficult so when I saw Ren opened at six am, with lots of food options, and had great reviews (thanks for the recs, Bella), I decided to give it a shot Service is friendly and fast. I heard they get busy, and though it was poppin, my Mocha and Breakfast Croissant came out quick and both were outstanding! Only gripe is that the food got messy after only a couple bites, so instead of a sandwich it became a salad, but the flavors were so good. I'll be back and try some other dishes.
Stopped by early one morning to grab an americano and pastry to-go. I think this is one of the best pastries I've ever had! It was such a unique blend of flavors that went so well together.

The food and the staff and coffee are great. The bagel breakfast sandwich was wonderful I loved it so much I bought one to go. Fresh and perfect combination w herb cream cheese and toasted bread and tomato and arugula and avocado. Indoor and outdoor seating. They have vegan options. Bathroom also.
I always love visiting this place. It's one of my favorite coffee shops locally and the patio and seating area is really phenomenal. It's a great day to sit outside and enjoy a bagel breakfast sandwich with an oatmeal cappuccino, this is typically what I get besides the vegan protein bars. There's Wi-Fi for customers, plenty of seating, neutral bathroom, and it's all accessible. Always grateful to the staff as well for such great service.
The variety and quality of food options at Ren is great, and the service is quick and friendly. I typically get either a vanilla oat milk latte or turmeric ginger chai to drink. They have plenty of gluten-free options, including bagels. So, I've enjoyed the bagel breakfast, pear & fig bagel, and avocado toast on a GF bagel. They also have a nice yogurt bowl and GF granola. The vibe is nice with seating inside and on an outside patio. My only complaint would be that parking is hard to come by.
Ren Coffeehouse is a chic and modern cafe nestled in St. Phillip's Plaza, making it a perfect spot if you're visiting the weekend market in the area. There is a large variety of drinks and food, including seasonal flavors and even seasonal affogatos. I tried the Cafe Miel, which had a good balance of flavors and was both the perfect size and temperature for a cooler morning. The baristas were very attentive and we were served fairly quickly. I'd definitely like to visit again in the future to try more of the food offerings, especially since they were handing out free samples of some pastries that were getting great reviews.
Ren Coffeehouse absolutely hit the spot and I'm so stoked with how close it is! I started with the Mexican Mocha, and it was such a comfy drink. Rich, bold mocha with a little cayenne kick that gave it just enough spice without overpowering the coffee. Definitely something I would order again. I tried the Breakfast Croissant, and honestly, this was the star of the show for this visit! Fresh tomato, avocado, pickled onions, egg, cheese and chipotle mayo piled onto a fluffy croissant made for an incredible breakfast that was filling without being heavy. The chipotle mayo was delicious, although I would probably go a little lighter on it next time because it caused things to get a bit slippy slidey. The space itself is very welcoming. It feels cozy enough for catching up with a friend, but there is also plenty of room to pull a few tables together if you are meeting with a slightly bigger group. They also have a really cool patio that I did not get a chance to check out, so clearly I already have an excuse to come back. It was pretty busy when I visited, which made complete sense once I tasted everything. Service was great, and the woman at the register was incredibly helpful and welcoming. Bonus points for the location too. There is plenty of parking at St. Philip's Plaza, the surrounding area is beautiful, and being so close to The Loop makes this an awesome stop after a bike ride or run. Great coffee, seriously good breakfast, comfy atmosphere, and a fantastic location. Ren is definitely going into the regular rotation for me now! read more

I got a frozen sf frappe that was killer!! This place makes great coffee. The ambiance was relaxed and inviting. They have the coffee house and the bakery next door. The treats are hit or miss. Service is usually polite and friendly. read more

I met some friends here for breakfast after a YogaPod class. The seating indoors was all taken so we had to sit outside. It's really hot out right now. You order at the counter and they bring it out to you. I loved the breakfast bagel on a plain bagel. It was delicious. I will be back to try some other breakfast items. Especially once it's cooler outside. read more

A very, very busy spot but these folks are pros at getting the guest taken care of! Obviously a very popular spot as we waited in line longer than we waited for our order to be done. Great gathering place with a public courtyard right outside for seating as well. Friendly, bright, clean. The coffee: excellent. Their freshly baked goods on the daily: fantastic! MUST order the raspberry pistachio scone! Or the strawberry muffin. Oh! We started with a breakfast bagel sandwich. ANY choice would delight the taste buds. read more

I just had one of the best, if not the best avocado toast of my life. I wish I asked where their bread comes from but it was soooo good. I love my avocado toast with either chunks of avocadoa or slices of avocados and not super mashed, a spread kind so theirs was just perfect! I'm a sucker for argulas too and with a little drizzle of oil added even more deliciousness. Really it was heavenly. I also tried their special agua fresca, which was made with sparking water, lemon syrup(I believe) and basil. My goodness, it was also amazingly delicious. I give four stars because their silverware was dirty, which is a big turn-off for me but that won't stop me from going back to this place. I am actually very excited that I've found this place! read more

Full disclosure...I was really hungry. That said...This place is incredible. It's go out of your way, fight parking good A small quaint locals coffee shop serving locally roasted coffee that is very good. The Food!! I had the Bagel Breakfast which was amazing but the star of the show was the Avocado Toast. I'm gonna say it, The Best Avocado Toast I have ever had. Fresh ingredients (Avocado, Tomato) atop an herb cream cheese like spread finished with olive oil. The Ingredients!! Fresh, organic, delicious. Loved my bagel breakfast I ordered. The staff were kind and the wifi worked well. Sandwich Ingredients tasted fresh. Glad I was able to order the sandwich in the afternoon as well. Tip: Their kitchen closes an hour before they close, 2pm, can't order warm food after that. You can order drinks after 2pm. Or their other location in the plaza is opened a little later and may have food options there too. read more

Such a charming café. Everything good for breakfast, lunch, or a coffee stop in Tucson, AZ. We were recommended this spot by a local Tucson resident, and I let her know the recommendation was excellent. The baristas were very friendly and said my Cafe Miel order was the most popular drink. We ordered: - Hot 12 oz. Cafe Miel - Latte with Cinnamon & Honey (2 shots espresso) - 16 oz. Iced Caramel Coffee My friend and I were both amazed at how good our coffees were. We sat at a small table near the window with a nice view of the patio that is set between the buildings near the center of the businesses, away from the parking lot and sidewalk. There is greenery and trees and it looks like a nice little oasis. It was still too hot for us to sit outside. It was unseasonably hot for the last day of September. Luckily, inside the cafe was nice and cool. There's a comfy casual here with plenty of tables to sit and eat or drink coffee. There's a gender-neutral restroom. Plenty of parking is available for the strip mall in this center. We got a shaded spot. read more

I came here on a busy day during lunch and had the most amazing turkey sandwich. The coffeehouse is inside St Philip's plaza with lots of boutiques, yoga and other restaurants. It's a very nice area with lots shade and cute tables to sit both indoor and outdoor. The coffeehouse serves a variety of salads, sandwiches and even agua frescas! The only thing I disliked was the prices were kinda on the higher side but it could be because of the area it's in. Service was great and I didn't wait long for my food. Will definitely come back to try the pastries and agua Fresca. read more

This bagel hits every time. I highly recommend the breakfast bagel to anyone looking for a substantial meal! I love the ambience and vibes of Renn coffeehouse. The outside seating has many options, even though it's busy most the time that you were there there was still open space for us to sit. I recommend ordering ahead! We got there at the exact time. It said it would be ready and it was on the to go shelf! Great experience, highly recommend ren coffeehouse for a brunch with friends or coffee chat! read more

The iced matcha was amazing and very refreshing. We got the bagel breakfast sandwich to go on the way to Seven Falls and it was flavorful and fresh. Great fuel for the hike, and the atmosphere was cozy and friendly. Fit the vibe of the Free People and yoga pod next door. Great service too- friendly and fast! read more
Ren is such a special place. Serving coffee, breakfast, lunch and dessert. This is the best spot to meet friends for coffee, snack after yoga or coming off the loop, or working remotely in their beautiful courtyard. The service is always friendly, they bring your meal to your table. They recently opened a second location within the same plaza. Overall, a great spot to meet friends in Tucson. read more
We were heading to another coffee house and decided to swing in here instead. It was a Saturday and that meant lots of locals drinking coffee and chilling. We decided to order breakfast along with our caffeine. No regrets! Our food was served with fresh ingredients, and in large portions. We ended up sharing part of our meals with the guy sitting next to us, who happily obliged. Another customer then approached us, asking what we were eating. I had a feeling that more coffee is served here than food( (?) and if that is the case, that needs to change. This is a great little breakfast nook. If you swing by on the weekends, check out the local arts and crafts show next door to Ren's. read more

This is our "happy place" café. Yes, sometimes the line is long, but it's absolutely worth the wait. The coffee and teas are delicious, the food (especially from their bakery next door) is fantastic, and who can resist sitting in the beautiful courtyard? This cafe ia directly on the bike path. If you're lucky, it's farmers market day and you can stroll around the block afterward -- the perfect way to spend a morning! read more
