I've been here a few times and I really want to like it but I have left disappointed literally every time. It's a small cute coffee shop by the house but just lacks any sense of friendliness or even good customer service. I typically wouldn't review but I never got helped at the counter today after waiting for quite awhile. 5 people back there actively couldn't help me order a drink after waiting a good while. The food while decent Is rather overpriced and their coffee is truly mid at best. There are just too many coffee shops in Omaha that have gotten it right for this one to be so bad. read more

Coffee Society is a great Papillion location for a yummy coffee and a chat with friends or personal study sesh. I have been here for both, and it can fill up quickly, especially on weekends. My coffees are always consistently delicious, and I love how festive Coffee Society is, even making new seasonal menus. I got their Valentine's menu iced coffee, which I believe was cookie dough chocolate chip flavored and phenomenal. Their food is very pricey, even for a coffee shop, and I didn't love the breakfast tacos. They were overwhelmingly just avocado and chewy sausage pieces, so next time I would probably try something else as this one was not worth the price. My boyfriend enjoyed his breakfast sandwich, so I would probably try something from their large variety of sandwiches. However, the coffee made this visit worth it. The ambiance is very bright, airy, and open! Coffee Society is very cute and aesthetically pleasing, and their holiday decor was very fun! Great staff! I was greeted when I walked in and the barista and counter worker were right there to make enthusiastic recommendations from a plethora of choices--coffees, teas, pastries, sandwiches, breakfast items and lunch items. They also deliver to near by breweries. The space is bright and airy, with comfortable seating and outdoor seating in nice weather. Grab and go QR menus are on tables. I had an oat milk cappuccino, apple coffeecake muffin and a to-go apple chia pudding. The muffin and coffee were excellent. I'll have the chia pudding tomorrow for breakfast at home, but I think it will probably be delicious. I wish this place was closer to home! read more

I went through the drive thru and ordered a peppermint white mocha and a caramel latte. Both drinks were well made. They did mix up the spice on the drinks. I ended up with a large and my husband a medium even though we ordered the opposite. No big deal, he was just looking forward to a larger coffee. The barista was friendly and patient when we took a minute to decide what we wanted to order. I ended up going inside to use the restroom and was pleasantly surprised at the size and atmosphere of the coffee shop. I stopped here for a meeting and grabbed a muffin and coffee. I couldn't decide between a mocha or a chai latte so I went with the recommendation from the girl working the counter. My hot chai latte was very good and not overly sweet like some places. I also went with her recommendation for the coffee cake muffin that did not disappoint as well. The muffin was moist and flavorful. I love trying local owned coffee shops, so I'll definitely be stopping by again to try more of their pastries and coffees. read more

I really liked this coffee shop! It was very inviting and bright. I loved the aesthetic. The staff was also very friendly. Not only was the food menu full of amazing options, but the drink flavors were endless. The plate presentation was picture perfect on every food item that came out. They also had a nice lineup of pastries at the register. I wanted to try everything! I ended up trying the banana white mocha and it was great. I've never seen banana as a flavor option before so I had to try it. It was nice subtle and just what I needed. The avo toast and bacon croissant were all very tasty and everything was affordable. On our first and only visit, we just needed a warm spot to chat and enjoy a cup of tea, so I didn't get to scratch the surface of their fairly vast menu. But - our service was prompt and friendly, the space is indeed beautiful and open and multipurpose (they rent out for small events and even have the igloo pop-up out front for winter events!), and I loved that they carry Artemis teas! I want to come back and sample their lunch offerings, but I also didn't see a large kitchen area, so I'm wondering how how quality they are (For example, I remember that there was something about a grilled peach and steak salad... Are we talking steak bites from Costco, or are you grilling those up fresh?) in any case, my interest is piqued and I hope to return next time I'm in the area. read more

Updating my review to include their rewards system. Listen, for the money you spend here first of all the rewards are very minimal. Second, they won't let you redeem the rewards in the same transaction. Third, they then required me to pay the $1 for putting milk into my benchmark coffee??? What irritates me about this is that I have spent well over and above (and frequently) the cost for the splash of milk that was put in my coffee. Also, take a hint from Starbucks and fix the rewards system. Definitely coming here less as I can go better for a more seamless experience. read more

What a cute place with great food and drinks! The storefront is bright and open with some fun decoration and style. The baristas working seemed busy but still were nice and offered suggestions of what to order. I got the strawberry latte, which was off of the summer menu. It had good flavor and wasn't too sweet. A reasonable price as well for a medium latte at $5.50. I also ordered the croissant breakfast sandwich with bacon, which is admittedly why we decided on this coffee shop in the first place. The croissant was perfectly flakey and buttery and it was loaded with crispy bacon. I couldn't take the cheese as much, but still a very tasty sandwich. They have a variety of food options including lunch and pastries, so I'd definitely go back to try more. read more

Cute shop with a good variety drinks and food. Add this to your get-out-of-the-house (office) or daytime meeting place rotation. Plenty of seating and a good amount of the standard folks putzing around on their laptops. It can get a little loud if a group of talkers comes in (due to the size of the space and echoey acoustics), but generally good for a couple of people to have a conversation. Service is good. Happy to have a new place to visit. If you're still reading - I was going to give it 4 stars because I don't think I'd go out of my way to come back. Perfect place to meet friends, study, or in my case, writing and preparing for a vow renewal and ceremony. The baristas and staff were friendly and helpful, gave me plenty of time to look through their menu and offered their suggestions. The coffee and scone was perfect for yesterday's weather and fueled my brain and creativity. Their menu has lots of options to pick from both beverages and food. Love love love Coffee society. It can be very busy sometimes. It's very cute inside. Coffee is delicious. I normally get a lotus. It's like their energy drink but a little healthier feel. It's made with sparkling water, lotus syrup and whatever flavor you want. I get blackberry. Sometimes depending on who makes it I ask for more blackberry syrup. Their food is also good but I feel like it's too much $$$ for me sometimes. I don't want to pay for a $6-7 drink then on top of that $15 or so for a sandwich. I found a spot to plug in my laptop and went to the counter to order. The barista couldn't have been more friendly as I perused the menu a s first timer. Hubby and I tried a hazelnut latte and a caramel latte with oat milk and we both really liked them! The breakfast sandwich was also good but could've used something more on them- maybe another egg? Came for the coffee but found myself immediately descending on a decadent Avocado Toast. I took no photo as I was immediately enticed by the feta, cucumber, and tomato toppings and found I finished before realizing it was all gone. They have a honey lavender London Fog also worth coming to try. You won't regret it. Service is prompt and friendly with customer consideration. Prices are fair and affordable. Atmosphere is calm, clear, and cozy. Perfect for any occasion, even just stopping in to read a good book. Highly recommended. read more

The space was really cute, open and decorated really well. The baristas were kind. So far, not impressed with the coffee. I wanted a decaf coffee, which was not an option. Coffee has free refills, but as they don't offer decaf there was not way to order this. Instead I was charged for a decaf Americano, no refills, and it tasted like I was drinking hot water. The espresso was weak. The baristas were kind enough to make it again as a double, and it was more comfortable to an espresso I would have at any other coffee shop.  It's nice that they offer a kids menu and a more robust food options. I'd be willing to try again, but would likely request any drink have an additional shot in order to get a comparable taste to typical coffee shops. read more

5 stars for decor, ambience, and quality. The coffee (Hardy) was delicious - both our drinks were great. The decor grabbed us from the instant we walked in. It's very mid-century modern, all brassy and Sputnik vibe. The colorful fabrics on the sofa and chairs, not to mention the green tile, created an immediate cozy cool feel. We felt right at home in the space. 4 stars for service. It was fine - nothing went wrong - but there was a vague sense that the people at the counter could have and should have been more interested or engaged somehow. Maybe it's that they're still new (with new staff), maybe it was just an off moment, I don't know, but it's something to keep an eye on. At this kind of coffee shop, relationships matter and people also need to feel right at home with the people (not just in the space). 2 stars for the checkout experience, and at least 1 of them simply because it functioned. Not good. It had too many screens, too many upsells, and took way too long. You could see people fidgeting in line waiting for the person ahead to finish their transaction, the person at the counter trying not to feel awkward just trying to not stare or be weird as the customer navigated all their choices and clicks. Not the message you want to send or memory you want people to retain. This is a rare place where I'd rather pay cash, and it's 100% because of that checkout experience. Case in point: this review. Had it not been for that checkout experience this review would've been a gushing glowing wow of a recommendation. But what stuck with me when I sat down to write it? The frustration of the checkout. The feeling of "are you freaking kidding me, another screen?! Just let me pay, would you please?" I understand that people = customers = data = revenue streams, but I'd strongly recommend that Coffee Society find a different way to go about it in this environment. It's a great space with great taste. I can see a really bright future for it. We're definitely going to come back - we loved it. But I already don't want to have to go through that payment odyssey again. Fix that and you've got a 5-star coffee destination. read more

Charming little coffee shop in Papillion!! Very cozy space. Loved all of the natural lighting from the windows! The staff was friendly - was greeted right away when I walked in! Not a huge space but has a good deal of seating for the size. They had a large assortment of pastries and food items! Had some interesting drinks too. They serve Hardy coffee here just FYI, which I'm a fan of! Would be a great spot for brunch or lunch. Happy opening day Coffee Society Cafe! My husband and I are huge coffee shop enthusiasts! And if you know my love for matcha based on my other reviews then you know I HAD to try this first! Let's start with location, they are right off of Giles and Portal Road. (So for our Costco shoppers, stop here first or on the way home!). Decent parking space in its plaza, they have a drive thru window as well! They have a nice coffee menu selection as well as pastries and sandwiches and salads! So definitely a nice one stop ship for a quick breakfast or even lunch! I ordered the iced matcha latte with oatmilk. You can taste the matcha which is always what I am looking for. If you prefer matcha sweeter as for a pump of vanilla! My husband got the blackberry vanilla latte, hot, medium cup. He really liked his drink as well, he had oatmilk with his too. I got to try and will def get that next time! They have a lot of flavor options so definitely looking forward to trying other drinks! They brew Hardy Coffee here! So definitely already a fan! Great new local coffee shop! Great decor with nice natural light. They also have a drive thru which not all local coffee shops do! I ordered the Blackberry vanilla latte and I haven't had anything like it! Normally I don't do fruity flavors with my coffee, but anything mixed with vanilla usually gets me. They brew Hardy coffee, which is also a great local company, so the quality is good. They do have restrooms and ample parking, which is shared with the other businesses in the plaza. The coffee here is marvelous with seasonal flavors along with the typical coffee flavors and drinks. Also you can get Italian sodas here! Which is a dream if you love them and I do. The staff is always friendly and kind along with willingly to make suggestions for something you might like. My favorite coffee beverage here is the blackberry vanilla latte. Yum! Tried it on our way outta of Omaha and it turned out to be a gem. Ample parking, nice interior and decor. Lots of nice seating and some great staff. Coffee is excellent and tried a couple of food items including the breakfast sandwich with sausage and a scone and they didn't let me down. Well isn't this just the cutest little coffee shop? The decor feels fresh and feminine but not so much so that masculine folks would feel uncomfortable (I believe). There are lots of different seating set-ups including semi-booths, regular tables, lounge chairs, and a couch. There's some outdoor seating as well but I didn't take part because the weather was so humid! The set-up of the outdoor looks cozy but it's also in the parking lot so the scenery might not be anything too exciting. The menu options looked superb and I was drooling over the bakery case. I got a half-sweet Strawberry latte and a cranberry muffin. The latte was delicious and I appreciated the option of a less-common flavor. The muffin had real chunks of actual cranberries which I think is rare in fruit-based muffins these days. Usually, it's little specs of fruit if any at all. The staff was really the sweetest. I was asking for help in making some decisions and three ladies come over to help. Haha! there is a drive-through. The parking is right out front and easy. Parents: The do have a kids menu here and it's spacious enough to bring in a stroller. It's quiet-ish but not so quiet that a slightly-louder 4 year old probably wouldn't be a big deal. read more

This was a new place for me but went to get a morning beverage. Staff welcomed everyone the moment they walked in. Very friendly staff. Loved the atmosphere inside but we choose to sit outdoors. You have to go out and the patio is right by the street but the seating is comfy and the umbrellas were up to help with the heat and sun. I didn't have any of the food but the menu looks delicious.
