This small but inviting coffee shop features a simple menu that caters to a variety of coffee preferences. They also offer a few food choices, including muffins, coffee cake and bagels with cream cheese. I ordered a pre-prepared iced coffee with organic Breve and black walnut syrup (organic and made in-house). The drink came out smooth and satisfying. The barista moved quickly, but gave each drink attention to ensure quality. If you're expecting to walk in and out in under 5 minutes, I wouldn't recommend this shop. But if you're up for a coffee experience that starts the day right, Coffeeville should be your first stop. read more

I'm all for supporting the local family-owned shops. I have to admit that the last time I went in for coffee, I placed my order. There was one customer waiting for a coffee drink. I placed my order and after a 15minute wait, I left. I didn't feel like the workers valued my time. If my time isn't valued by a business, then there goes the chance for revenue. I have been living here for years and just found out about this place ! I think it's because I never really drive through East Lake and always go to Starbucks ! I LOVE their iced lattes. They have so many flavors and they're just perfect I haven't tried anything else but their iced lattes w/ non fat milk. I have had: Pina Colada Lavender Vanilla Chai Spice White Chocolate Raspberry And the first time I had Caramel Machiatto Latte since I always had an iced Skinny Car. Mach at Starbucks! What a lovely little coffee shop. If you're not a fan of pour over, good news- this is one of the few stops in town with a french press, and it's a solid deal at $3.75. (But it'll be served in a mug, since they only have one french press.) And a bottle of water is only 50 cents. That was a pleasant surprise at the register- which accepts Apple Pay :) Friendly, knowledgeable staff that genuinely care about your experience and a few board games to play if you want to hang out for a bit. But that wouldn't be enough if the product didn't live up to it. OMG. It does. And a lot more. Single sourced, roasted by the owner and date stamped -- fresh, reasonably priced AND DELICIOUS. I went in around 12 pm on a Memorial Day Monday. There was still good traffic at this time. They closed earlier at 3, rather than 5. It was casual, clean, and they played coffeehouse jazz. My barista was really friendly and seemed knowledgeable on aromas and what people might enjoy as she made many recommendations to customers who asked. I got a French Press Java cup of coffee (no cream or sweetener) and it was clean, smooth, and pretty rich. There were not many pastry options, and definitely not many vegan options. I would like to see some more snacks! But maybe they want their focus to be on good coffee. I'd like to go back and get their fast cup to see how it compares to the French pressed. A very nice, and friendly man was at the counter. Looks like he owns the place. Not that I was new to coffee but he patiently explained the different drinks and specialities. My drink was out of the world. The quality, the taste, the consistency, and the after taste!! Even loved the almond-choc biscottis there. Going back to pick up some more before we head back home from Santa Cruz. It was a neat and hygienic place. Heart racing, legs pounding on the ground while being fully woken by the cold brisk Monterey Bay morning Breeze. Coffeeville Vanilla trip-shot to light that internal fire for daily task completion. Once all is done a walnut rugelach to complement the almond milk in the latte, along with a cherry thing (which we're unable to remember the name). NY boys in the area on a road trip, utilize the (borrowed) key on the restroom door and returned via USPS the next day (yes, we accidentally took it with us. The staff is extremely knowledgeable of their products and warm and inviting. The drinks are made to perfection and then you are asked, "Is the drink okay? If not I can adjust it for you." I was walking my dog through E. Lake Shopping Center one night and saw (and smelled) this little coffee shop & I was ecstatic! I've been wishing for a coffee shop to move into this neighborhood for the past 10 years, and now we have THE BEST coffee shop!! I went in for a coffee the next morning, and asked for a large medium roast (which is ONLY$2.50!!!! whaaaaat?)... and the owner gave me so much background on their roasting process, and the different beans, and how flavor profiles are made or ruined in the roasting process ~ super informative & interesting info. He also talked about his personal history, and is a very inviting, friendly person... I felt like while I was buying one of the best cups of coffee I've ever tasted, I made a new friend! Every time I go in, it doesn't matter who is working, everyone involved with this establishment is super friendly & so generous with their knowledge of products. They are always quick to make substitution suggestions to accommodate everyone's flavor preference. AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE! I go to work SUPER early, so this has only been my weekend treat the past few weeks, but I am a long time bean buyer of an Aptos company, and I have to say... I'm all in with Coffeeville ~ I will be buying my beans here from now so I can enjoy this delicious coffee all week long. My hubby and I saw that Coffeeville just opened up in the East Lake Shopping Center and decided to stop in this morning right after our gym workout. We definitely needed a boost and Coffeeville did not disappoint. Michael was so knowledgeable and friendly. We had a great chat with him on what brought his business to Watsonville, how he creates his chai and the different selections of coffee he offers. He made the most wonderfully creamy knock your socks off iced coffee for my hubby. Talk about WOW! This got the hubby's motor running. I had the organic chai latte which was fabulous, great flavor! If your looking for a coffee shop that doesn't treat you like another number, offers tasty hot beverages with a unique and friendly experience, I definitely recommend grabbing a Cup of Jo from Coffeeville. The experience is top notch from the products to the affordable prices and outstanding customer service. All the way around I give it an A+. FYI, the shop is temporarily set up in a location a few doors down from the Japanese Restaurant. However, soon enough Coffeeville will be moving to the larger shop by E Lake Liquors and adding a large patio area; can't wait to enjoy the sunshine and a latte.
