Not the best matchas, but decent. Too much milk flavor and missing that matcha bite. Lots of other businesses nearby to grab a bite or something else to drink if someone in your group isn't into coffee options. Service was good; baristas were friendly. Nothing much to note. There are not a ton of dedicated coffee shops in Watsonville, so I guess this is a good enough choice if you're looking for a speciality coffee shop! Enjoy! read more

I ordered the iced raspberry matcha with oatmilk. It was just ok. I shared with my daughter. Even with the 2 of us drinking it, we didn't finish it. It was too sweet. Amazing coffee shop! Coffee is delicious but price is pretty high although not out of line with what I have been seeing in high end coffee shops recently. Their homemade syrups are pretty tasty. I got a salted caramel latte one day and a nitro coldbrew with vanilla foam another day. I preferred the latte and would come back for that and try out their other syrups. Their parking lot is pretty small and street parking can be a little tricky so just be prepared for that. One of the two coffee shops I saw when looking for somewhere to caffeinate in Watsonville. The limited options during my travels resulted in me deciding to checkout Honeylux. Service from the person taking my order wasn't the friendliest, but the person preparing the orders was nice. I tried the Bloom Matcha Latte (iced + oat milk) to share/try. (It's a matcha latte with raspberry syrup.) I also ordered myself a Latte. Both drinks were good. The Bloom Matcha Latte wasn't sickly sweet and the syrup didn't overpower the matcha. The drink is done well. Enjoyed the interior decor. One of the businesses lined up in a row across from the airport. It was easy to find parking on the weekend morning I stopped by. Taking a break from a coastal camping trip and exploring the Watsonville area, my friends and I came to Honeylux Coffee. It was a fairly warm afternoon and we were looking for something to cool us down while also providing a much-needed caffeine pick me up. I decided to try their iced raspberry matcha latte with oat milk. I had never had flavored matcha before, so the raspberry was a tart and pleasant surprise. It provided just the right amount of sweetness while not overpowering the matcha. I love where this coffee shop is located as there are several other little food stalls and businesses. Did a quick stop! So glad I yelped and found this hidden gem of a coffee house. Love my cappuccino- rich, creamy, and not watered down. Service was pretty fast, we came at a slow time. I'm sure mornings are crazy. This place feels hip. There were quite a few people working. It is located on a corner lot near the airport. My sister has been excited to bring me here and for good reason! Popped in with my sister on a Friday morning with my little one and I was absolutely in love with the decor and space at first glance. As much as I love signature drinks I gauge coffee by their latte. It's my favorite non flavored drink and the coffee often times shines right through the milk. My sister walked up and was greeted warmly. My turn and I was given the same warm attention. I ordered a latte and this delicious and pretty looking pastry caught my eye. Lemon/poppyseed Bear claw so I got that too. I paid and asked to use the restroom while I waited for our order. Came back in to check out the rest of the space and it's tiny but has a long table, couch, another small table, and a kids table. I was really excited to see a kids size table with toys and books. As a momma I love kid friendly coffee shops. I can sip my coffee and enjoy and my kiddo can be entertained for that period of time. Love it! Our order was ready and the latte art was perfect. Love me all the latte art. Thanked the guy who took our order and let him know that I love the space and appreciate seeing the kids corner. He shared they have a lot of families visit and like having a space for the kiddos to be distracted while parents enjoy their coffee. Kudos! My latte was delicious! 12oz was perfect for me. Enjoyed it throughly. My pastry was just as delicious and flaky and lemony (not a word but you get what I mean)! Had a divine "dirty chai latte" recently. Good spicy masala chai is difficult for me to find here (go figure, Santa Cruz County) but this place is the 'bee's knees' Chillaxed café vibes and fast internet make this a buzzing little hub for students and coffee aficionados alike. Staff is helpful and they have a steady stream of regulars based on observations. Didn't see any pastries or bites in display case so must be a good sign they sold out. Very clean, spacious, dog friendly too They great I you with a smile, being first timers today, they were patient, gave suggestions. 3 workers staying busy. I've never had their drip as I prefer lattes but I bet their drip is good too. Also, I'm not some coffee expert but even I, a coffee layman if you will, can tell that they have something special. I've never drank my coffee there but the inside is cute and more spacious than you would think from the outside. Everyone who works there is very kind. I've never had a bad experience there. One of my favorite coffee shops so far. Limited seasonal menu offering simple yet very tasty options. Their breakfast avocado toast is simply delicious. But more importantly the coffee is awesome. I believe they source their beans from 11th Hour (a very solid choice for beans). I've ventured into most of their coffee drink menu but always find myself going back to their espresso shots or a cappuccino. I love being able to enjoy all the notes of the coffee and they consistently make a very good cappuccino. The service here is very welcoming and the baristas are eager to answer questions or make recommendations. I had the best coffee I've ever had in Santa Cruz yesterday. I ordered an espresso shot over ice and a nitro cold brew. Price came out to a little over $10 and my husband and I were both very impressed at how tasty the coffee was. I LOVED how strong the espresso and cold brew was. In Santa Cruz, I feel like it's really hard to find cafes and coffee shops that give you truly good coffee. Lots of places serve watery espresso and watery coffee. What a cute coffee shop!!! I loved the boho vibes in here. I stopped here for a late morning pick-me-up and was greeted by two friendly faces. Unfortunately, I only caught one persons name; Travis, but I know it was his sister that helped me. It's always nice when your barista is willing to strike up a conversation and be personable. I ordered an iced matcha latte w/ honey to sweeten it up. Super yummy. 10/10 recommend. Things to note: 1. This is a small coffee shop with only 4 seats on the inside. Very cute and cozy. However, there are plenty of seating options outside. 2. I believe all of their products are sourced from other local shops. The coffee is sourced from 11th hour- a local coffee shop in Santa Cruz and the pastries are from companion in Aptos. 3. Prices are on par with other coffee shops. Mini getaway at seascape this weekend and was looking for a breakfast/coffeeshop to visit within a 10-15 min radius. This one was highly recommend on yelp so we decided to check it out, and we were not disappointed! The ambiance here is such a vibe, very neutral & calming decor, a good amount of seating, not too loud inside. We came around 11:30am on a Saturday and there was plenty of seating as most people ordering were grabbing to go. Staff was very pleasant and friendly, not over the top and didn't rush you. We ordered a cappuccino, matcha latte and salted Carmel latte, as well as 2 avocado toasts and their bagel sandwiches. Everything was so delicious and tasted fresh! Something about the bacon adding a salty element to the bagel sandwich was just so addictive, I felt like I couldn't get enough. We were all happy with our drinks, the matcha wasn't too grassy (something I don't like as a matcha drinker) and my friends who got the coffees both remarked that they were pleasantly surprised that their drinks were just perfect in taste. Overall, we really enjoyed our breakfast and if in the area again, definitely coming back. They are located by the Watsonville airport and on a strip with 4-5 other cafes right next to each other so if you have a group, there's lots of choices for everyone! read more
