The one thing I did not appreciate is that when I called to schedule, I spoke with an AI agent. I understand some businesses use these, but what I didn't like was that I was not told I was speaking to an AI agent. It sounded so realistic at first until I caught on, which made me feel a little silly for attempting to be friendly and make conversation with what turned out to be a robot. And after that whole call, a real person had to call back anyway to confirm a few details. She was super helpful, so I was left wondering why I even had to go through the AI ordeal. Everything from there was awesome. On the morning of my visit, I received a text with rhe plumber's picture and some of his interests and facts about him, as well as his ETA to my home. He was very friendly and wore covers over his shoes. I was very nervous and upset about the water leak and wanted lots of information, which he was patient to share with me. He called me back to the room to explain what he found and my options. He was helpful, moving my toilet to a place where it would be out of the way and taking care to close up the area for my family's safety while I pursued next steps to avoid water damage. I'm grateful for Tyson's great work and helpful demeanor through this experience! After the visit, I needed a plumbing report to send to my home insurance for a claim. Their office staff was able to quickly email me the plumber's notes and photos. I will definitely call Blue Chip again. I hope they reconsider the use of the AI agent or at least have it announce itself before you speak to it so you are aware. But the actual plumbing work and professionalism is great.

While they were not the low bidder on my job, the level of professionalism, quality, and peace of mind that comes from a job well done is entirely worth it. Their system for quoting, approving the job, and scheduling the work is very impressive. The gentlemen (and that's exactly what they were) who came to do the work were completely professional, friendly, and efficient. Given the size of the job, there were remarkably few areas requiring clarification, and these were communicated efficiently and effectively. I couldn't be more impressed.

I've been patiently waiting for the completion of a job that started about 6 months ago. The…read morecompany has several names: AL the Plumber, Smithy's Plumbing, ALVIS Plumbing Experts, ALVIS Plumbing, but it's the same plumber (Alvis "AL" Smith) and the same unprofessional staff. This job was for the removal of a boiler and water heater and the install of a combi boiler, which provides home heating and hot water to the home. It's been over 4 months since I paid the 2nd half of the ~$7,500 project, one which is still only half-complete. The company has scheduled and either cancelled or no-showed for 9 appointments since then. Why did I pay for a job before it was finished to my satisfaction? Because Smithy's/ALVIS/AL refused to unload the combi boiler and start the install until they received the 2nd half of the payment. Sure it was a red flag, but at that point, I'd paid for half the job and had nothing to show for it and they threatened to return the unit if I didn't pay the remainder, so I did. Once payment cleared, AL installed the tank and connected it to our home water, but said didn't have a couple parts he needed for the boiler portion of the install. He left for the day, including leaving the old boiler outside in my front yard rather than hauling it away, and has never returned. I've scheduled several appointments since then between May-July, but all were either cancelled by Smithys/ALVIS/AL or they were no-shows. Appointments were cancelled for several reasons, all of which could be valid, including: running late from another job, missing parts, Al late returning from weekend travel, helper not available, death in the family, and "mandatory legal transition." However, since July 29, they seem to just be ghosting me - not returning texts or answering calls. I'd like them to finish the work that has been paid for.
