When I got there at 9:05, I was told that "[my] service advisor was out today. Go in and have a seat, and another advisor will get you set up." I don't know how that was possible, because I hadn't done anything to select a service advisor, or go through chat, but I did what I was asked to do. I watched people who were there before me go to the desks. I watched people who came in after me go to the desks, and at 10:15 I still hadn't even talked to a service advisor, so I told the young lady at the customer service desk that I'd been waiting for an hour without even talking to an advisor and I didn't have all day to wait. I canceled my appointment, went to the oil change place a block away, and was on my way back home in 25 minutes. I don't anticipate ever going back. read more

I had a disappointing and brief negotiation experience with a salesman named Jeff H. at Coggin Honda of Fort Pierce. After doing my research on the trade-in value of a vehicle I was interested in, I presented a reasonable counteroffer. Instead of a constructive discussion, I was met with passive-aggressive remarks. Jeff seemed more focused on asserting that the dealership is backed by a Fortune 500 company and that my counter offer was completely too low rather than having a respectful conversation. He also claimed they "can't afford to lose more than $500 on a vehicle," which felt contradictory and dismissive, as that was the only discount that was placed on the vehicle of interest. Asking for a little wiggle room on pricing apparently doesn't sit well here--at least not with Jeff. I attempted to express my dissatisfaction to a sales manager, but unfortunately, that led nowhere. It seems that customer concerns aren't taken seriously at this location. So if you're hoping for a professional and courteous buying experience, I suggest proceeding with caution--or looking elsewhere. read more

Went for an oil change and tire rotation on my CR-V. Looked under the hood and the tech never topped off my fluids. Told my service advisor who brought it back in and topped it off. This AM while fueling up I saw the tiny sticker on my front tire. I put it on to assure they do the tire rotation. They never did!!!! I paid for it though. Never going back there. We bought a 2022 Honda last week. The salesman, Josh, was good and straightforward. We believe we got a fair deal with the car and with our trade in. The same cannot be said for the finance man. He pitched us a 10 year warranty plan that we rejected. Then he went through a math exercise where he showed us that getting the plan would only cost $643 more dollars in interest. This was a lie. When I pulled out my calculator, his face fell. In fact, the deal would have cost us somewhere around $7,000 more. What word would you use: dishonest, unethical, immoral, deceptive. Maybe all them. Honestly,saddened how the entire car buying process took such a drastic turn once we left the lot .Purchased a new '22 Honda Civis 3 months ago and for 3 months we have been waiting for a promised (and documented) refund of a feature we did want on the car .We were told it would be a "simplified process" to adjust and send a refund instead of getting it done once vehicle arrived . Since August we have exchanged multiple text messages with our sales associate Lavern ;until he stopped responding), emailed Jay from finance (no response) and left message for Cathy and a J. Johnson from accounting to no avail. Seems like I am begging for something that not rightfully owed or something. We have been part of Honda family for over 20 years and this dealership tarnished their solid representation.We moved from Hollywood and wanted to find out new dealership for services and etc but looks like we will be making the drive further down south and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE NEW RESIDENTS IN PSL/FT.PIERCE TO STAY AWAY!!They do. I reserved the car and at home took care of insurance and my own financing The day u picked up my car it took less than 45 minutes to complete the paperwork. The dealership takes care of registration and playing the vehicle. The car had fresh oil change and tire balance/alignment. We went down at for our "VIP Test Drive" appointment early (1/2 hour drive). Imagine our disappointment ie disgust when we arrive and find the car sold. While I understand that cars sell but the fact that no one called us to let us know was completely unprofessional and inconsiderate. They certainly didnt have any problem calling me multiple times to confirm that we were coming. Apparently, my time is not of value to you guys. I have bought every new car I have purchased for my entire family from Linda Fiedrich at Coggin Honda since about 1986. I would guess that to be somewhere around 12 to 14 new cars. Linda is great and until recently I have nothing bad to say about the dealership but apparently, customer service has gone out the window. I bought a new 2018 Clarity plug-in hybrid in June 0f 2018. The first two years were great but then the charging capacity of the batteries started to deteriorate to the point where the amount of mileage i get without using any gas is down almost 30% and getting worse. Despite the fact that it is still under warranty means nothing to American Honda as they have denied coverage and refuse to fix the problem. I will be buying a new car sometime in 2022 but it won't be from Honda. read more

They Still haven't paid my bank for the trade in and It's been a whole week. Dealership told me they got a 20 day pay off amount, but after talking with the bank that's absolutely incorrect as they only offer a 10 day pay off amount. My bank has no record of their payment being scheduled or processed and this is all very unnerving. On top of this they ran our credit 17 times (seventeen) which completely ruined our already COVID affected credit scores. Please beware they will do literally ANYTHING including ruin your future via credit score to make money AND take your trade in with the promise of paying the loan but your bank has no idea they even have your car. read more

I traded my truck in for a less expensive car due to needing more money for my son's medical bills [he has severe lung disease] after explaining this to them we came up with a deal I was Comfortable with but then I was talked into a warranty for $1,300 but after reviewing the contract when I arrived home the warranty was for $4,336 I called to cancel and was told by Michael A finance manager that I'd only get $1,300 back.I was beyond confused after talking to a friend about the situation he referred me to an attorney that could help by looking over my contract two minutes into the visit at his office he said go cancel right now and they owe you %100 of this $4,336 not $1,300 so after driving 3 hours back up there I canceled the warranty and was told I'd receive the whole $4,336 back into my loan but my car payment will stay the same,im happy I'm getting the money Deducted from the amount of my loan but my car payment will stay the same I could of been paying alot less a month.I can't believe I didn't even receive an apology.Im beyond disgusted after sharing about my son and the situation I'm in they'd lie and try to get over a couple grand on me. Andrew brought my car to my school with the window tint job and pinstripes I had requested. He then double checked my car and drove back because I had-DUH!-forgotten my garage door opener. I bought a 2019 Honda Insight from Coggin Honda earlier this year. The purchase process was simple and we purchased a few additions with the car, ceramic coat and industrial rain-x. After a few weeks we noticed that the rain-x that was supposed to last a few months was only lasting about 30 days. We drove down to Ft. Pierce to get it reapplied three times since we've owned the car. Finally run out of patience we asked for a refund back in the beginning of August, signed all the paperwork, and still have not received a refund. I've spoken to Jay in finance on a few separate occasions and to his surprise each time he states "You still haven't received your refund? Let me talk to the accounting department." It is now October. I understand that its only $400 for this stuff but I appreciate being run around and thought that a "President Level" dealer would operate much better than this. If you're looking to buy a car, I'd look elsewhere as Coggin Honda of Ft. Pierce really isn't as reliable as the cars they're selling. read more

I would not recommend this dealership. I went and looked at a car and left a deposit with an initial offer, but advised I needed time to consider and do some research. After looking at the car again with family and doing additional research, I ended up passing on the car and asking for a refund of my deposit. The next day I was contacted by the dealer via text with a better price. We texted throughout the entire morning about the car, at the newly offered price, and I accepted the offer and was going to purchase the car same day. I had to pass on the car again, because the entire morning they were essentially negotiating in bad faith. They gave me one price and I accepted it and said I would take it and purchase same day. Gave them the option on financing or paying cash, was OK with not getting additional items I'd asked for and accepted the deal. Or so I thought. They then advised that the market is "ever changing" and increased the price after we had struck a deal. Although I don't believe it to be fully intentional, I do not recommend them because they will offer the car at a lower price, then bring in a manager with the reasons the car cannot be sold at that price and call it a "miscommunication." Essentially the definition of operating in bad faith. I was very excited to purchase the car for myself and was very disappointed with the end result. You simply should not have to pass on a car two times in two days... I won't say more. read more

There are many choices in dealerships to purchase a car. I am highly disappointed in Coggin and do NOT recommend anyone buy from Coggin Honda of Ft. Pierce. My father bought a van on July 5, 2016. He needed a van because he recently became disabled and needed to use it to transport his wheelchair. Unfortunately, my dad passed away last week unexpectedly. We went up to Coggin to discuss our options. They would not take the car back. We were able to cancel the service and maintenance contracts that my dad paid $5000 cash down on, but would not give us the money back. They offered to "buy the van" back but that would cost my mom an additional $4000 so that would basically mean that he/she would pay $9000 to use a car for less than a month. The van has 200 miles on it. They said they didn't want to lose money. This is ridiculous and shows just how bad their customer service is. Sometimes it's not about making money... It's about doing the right thing for people. Charging my mother $9000 to take a brand new van with 200 miles on it ( first payment hasn't even been made) is nothing short of robbery. Please consider another dealership for your future vehicle purchases. read more

This review is specifically for Bren Cabanero, Sales Consultant. Bren is the most straight forward, courteous and respectful person I've ever come across in auto sales. I whole heartedly recommend anyone looking to buy a Honda to seek out Bren to assist them. The only reason I don't give five stars is the jury is still out on the dealership as a whole. Everyone I've spoken with on the phone has been helpful and courteous, both in service and sales department, however the individual I dealt with in Finance was less than courteous. They were in a hurry and created issues with the registration and title that I asked to have corrected then and there, but was blown off. Subsequently, I am spending my day off trying to fix the issues after the fact. It's a shame that that one poor representative can cast a shadow on what was otherwise a great overall experience. To end on a positive note, I can say that Bren is the absolute best salesman -hands down- I have ever worked with, and I encourage anyone in the market for a new car to go and see Bren :-) read more

You guys deserve no stars. I've had my used vehicle for about 4 months now.. and it has been HELL. first the A/C went out a week after driving it off the lot and was told I'd have to pay 200+ for a diagnostic and then possibly 300+ to get it fixed.. Another 2 1/2 months later the radio station went out. NOW my tires are rubber free and you can see the wires sticking out of them. I just got it serviced in May 15, I was told everything on the car is fine. it's now been two months and at this point.. I DO NOT WANT TO INVEST MORE MONEY INTO THIS CAR. I prefer to either trade it off or get my money back and take a better shot somewhere else. read more

While I was in town, I brought my car in to have a stud replaced that was stripped during a routine tire rotation 2 days prior. During the replacement, a Coggin technician alerted me to broken engine mounts that I was never told in previous visits to my local Honda Dealer. I came into turn my lease in and get a new lease. Upon turning in my old lease, the reps told me the car looked great. No mention of any damage or any other fees. 2 months later I get a bill from Honda Financial stating there was excessive damage. H/f told me they don't have any additional information and to contact the dealer. We contacted the manager and was promised this was a mistake and they would take care of it. I got another follow up letter with H/F telling me my payment was not received. The manager said he got them knocked down but STILL has not provided information as to what damaged was caused.if there was damage, why didn't the dealer see it upon checking the car out upon return? We were going back and forth with the manager and we kept telling the manager H/F kept threatening to put this on our credit report if we didn't pay. Again we were promised that everything was being worked out and not to worry. But all in all, we ended up having to pay MORE than what the manager had told us he got us down to. The dealer then told us there was undercarriage damaged. They are unable to provide this proof, they did not know where the car was to show us the damage. Again, there was no problem with the car nor any damage upon returning the car. I'll be using another Honda dealership for any service and we may not get another Honda after the new lease is up. read more
