Since he is registered with the US consulate, you don't need to go to the US embassy, which saves a LOT of time and money. Not to mention it is impossible to get an appointment at the US embassy with less than a few weeks notice. He is very efficient, which I really appreciate. We arrived at the appointment about 10min early, and he came early to meet us. We were done by the time the appointment was scheduled to start! Highly recommend!! Ps. he only communicates via text (not phone), which is okay for me. But if you must talk via phone, you can pay extra. I'm totally fine with that since that reduces the chance he will be late because he is being held up talking to someone else.

Worst Yelp experience ever…read more Based on the reviews here at Yelp, I contacted Vinh to get wills and power of attorney documents done for my husband and I. After emailing the completed forms he sent we didn't hear back and after numerous attempts to reach him by text and email we left a voicemail message and received a nasty text back that there were lots of reasons why he didn't reply, he could have had a personal emergency. He didn't say he did, he said he COULD HAVE. Thing is, we found recent tweets online under his name and none of it was about being unavailable due to some sort of emergency, and his voicemail message made no mention of being unavailable. All it would have taken was a 2 line reply to just one of our texts or emails to say he doesn't handle wills anymore, or that he never received the completed form. Instead he was totally unprofessional. I was originally afraid to post a negative review for a lawyer but I read another bad review and figured I owe it to my fellow Yelpers to share my experience.

Received an invoice for fees totaling over $3600 (including a bunch of random fees for photocopies, faxes, and software that were definitely NOT a flat fee). I used Glover & Associates buying a house - while the paperwork got done, they created so much…read moreadditional work and tension for me, that I couldn't imagine picking a worse lawyer for a relatively straightforward transaction. The poor experience comes down to horrible communication, sloppiness, lack of empathy and nickel & diming customers. On the communication -- while buying a house may be routine for Darryl Glover and his team, its usually a big deal for the buyer/seller. Numerous times I had to leave multiple messages and send several emails before I would get a response from anyone. This was particularly bad working with Sharon Thompson, their senior law clerk, who was completing that paperwork. Several times it took me getting my real estate agent (who made the referral) involved to get a reply from them. They blamed it on a busy time of year -- well they shouldn't take on more work, or set the expectation straight if they can't handle it. Also, simply responding to say "we're busy but will get back to you in a few days" would have helped so I didn't have to keep chasing them. On sloppiness, they created a ton of extra work and pressure for me by not properly looking through electronic versions of docs before sending them the originals. Because I was not local, I spent a lot of time and effort getting an attorney to witness our signatures. Some places were missed by us, but I sent a scan of the complete doc to his office for review asking them to confirm all was good. We got focused on a particular issue, was told everything looked good, and 4 days later (a day after they received and 5 days before closing) I'm told about the missing items. Now I have to scramble to get another signing arranged, and have everything come down to the wire unnecessarily. A lot of extra time and cost for me due to their mistake. I suggested they pay for the courier (as a small gesture acknowledging their responsibility for the mistake) but that was ignored. On their lack of empathy -- there were other parts of the process that I kept asking for clarity on timing and process, but was never given any. They also left everything to the last minute -- I asked many times for weeks what the final amount would be and got radio silence. I then found out 4 days before closing they hadn't even connected with the seller's attorney and therefore didn't know till then. These things all created unnecessary anxiety for us, but it was quite obvious they didn't care. They also added on an egregious charge at the last minute for something they knew since before they accepted the business, but by then you have no ability to push back.

I am writing this review with carefully thinking this through and trying to look at all aspects of…read morethe situation in which I have encountered with this firm. I want to write this review from my experience with Mr Picov which dated mid-April 2020. I had purchased an investment property and very fortunate to be in a position to purchase an investment property even at this time of pandemic. But wanted to ensure I am very aware of all costs involved ensuring I would not put myself in a bad financial state. This being said we are not a wealthy couple but we make sure we always plan ahead and invest so we are secured for our retirement. We make an honest living and try not to spend money in areas where we believe is excessive. Such as designer bags, clothing etc. We generally like to spend time at home and cook our meals and rarely go out. The point is we budget everything we spend and know how hard it is to make a dollar. Because we paid our way through school by working part-time jobs to make sure we were not in debt when we graduated. We are in our early 40s and saved enough to purchase an investment property. So we had contact Mr Picovs firm to handle our investment property. Our realtor had referred us to him so decided to pay him a visit. It seemed like he knew very well of the builders and helped out a few clients. The initial visit was okay but he would ask on several occasions as to what I did for a living. Didn't bother me but I knew he was asking because my wife and I really don't look our age. We firmed up our offer with our realtor and decided to go with Mr Picov as our lawyer as he had experience with this developer on our 2nd visit with him. During this time allot of home owners were applying for mortgage deferrals and our approval process was taking longer then anticipated. Understanding this I had made sure prior to signing the contract that there was a clause to ensure finances must be approved. It was coming closer to our closing date and our mortgage was not approved yet. Verbally it was approved by our mortgage specialist but it was still with the underwriters. I get a call from Mr Picov and he was stating the urgency that we need to proceed with this contract if not the deal will fall. I said I understand this but was not comfortable in signing anything yet or starting the work until I have signed my mortgage papers. He had recommended we do this so we can get the paper started so we can meet the closing date deadline. I told him the situation with the bank and there is longer then normal processing periods for mortgages because of the current pandemic state. But he had still insisted we go along with this because there is allot of paperwork that needs to get done to meet the closing date. I got upset with him at this point and told him I am aware and if we need to default this contract I am fine with that because I do not want to be put myself at any risk. This is an investment for us and if banks are having a hard time providing mortgages to other borrowers who's to say I would get my mortgage approved by the underwriter? I emailed Mr Picov the next day and apologized for getting heated in the call. I then have called him and based on his recommendation I did provide him with a deposit to start the paperwork. I get a call back from the bank a few days later and they have told me they cannot approve this property. The reason being is the underwriters could not approve because of the clause in the contract.So I called Mr Picov and told him the situation and he understood. Then I brought up the cost of the deposit if he could refund me and he was telling me that there was allot of work done and was saying he could not. I totally get that but the response and attitude I got from him was very unprofessional. He did work for me I agreed but based on his recommendation which I had stated I was not comfortable with. There is more but I would just leave at here and I would like to tell folks to really reconsider.
