Stopped by as part of Harvest Host, but arrived just in time for drinks and dinner (from Prairie Dog Food Trailer). I tried a few of the beers and meads and really enjoyed the Cranberry Hibiscus mead. I found it to be not too sweet and the cranberry and hibiscus flavors come through good. If you can't decide what to drink (they also have non-alcoholic options!), grab a flight. The food was pretty decent. Prices were a few dollars more than expected, but can't complain too much. The General Custer (bison cheesesteak) was flavorful and the Prairie Queso and Chips was just okay. The Little Burger on the Prairie was a good deal for kids - cheeseburger, Capri Sun, and goldfish for $8. Also trier both sides and I surprisingly enjoyed the Bourbon beans more (usually not a fan of baked beans) and they weren't too sweet. If you stay overnight via Harvest Host, I'd definitely pay the extra $40 to get full hookups for your RV. read more

HILL CITY LOCATION I couldn't find the hill city location on Yelp but my husband and I used to go to Miner when we lived in the hills. They took over the building and omg we had a blast. The drinks were delicious & they had plenty of games! We even picked up a few containers of pretzels and those were a great addition. Lots of great seating indoor and outdoor! The man working the front was super welcoming and helpful - we had a blast. A new favorite for us! read more

My family came in on 530pm on a Sunday night. We are from out of town and we came into the brewery and sat down. The brewery had some patrons but by no means was busy. We waited 10 minutes at our table and no one came to say hello or give us menus or explain their beers. The employee saw us walk in and never said a word. There was a QR code on the table that said "order", but we weren't certain if that was the only way to get food or drink. It certainly would have been nice for an employee to greet us and explain if that was how it works. So our family left and took our business to a place where they were happy to see us. read more

My husband likes the Scapegoat IPA, I always like getting one of their Mead's. Their staff is very friendly and beer great! It's a chill environment and they are always playing awesome music( today it was The Smith's, Echo and the Bunnymen- lots of 80's new wave) The chicken tenders from the attached food truck, Chute Roosters, are tasty! I would love to give this wonderful place a 5 star review, and I had originally, but I took that review down, bumping a star one star off for the following reasons: 1. Occasional loud factor, OUCH 2. Their regular food truck, bleh. But first the good stuff. I'm a regular in their joint, and their beer and mead is outstanding. Their German beer is the best in town. They have a cranberry mead that is wonderful too if you're craving something different or if you happen to have a non-drinker with you. The staff is great. I wanted a sweatshirt one time that they were selling, and one of the workers went in back and dug through many cartons to find my size. LOVE!! Another worker always remembers me from another brewery she used to work at that I used to frequent. Despite that being several years ago, she remember what flavors beer I like and steers me to good beer choices. Now if that's not a good memory, what is? My star off is for one time I went there and there was some game on their TV, (I never had even noticed their TV's there, as it's not that kind of place) and they had it up loud and had attracted a crowd of LOUD people there I didn't recognize who were "Yaying" and yelling and booing at the sports plays so loudly that my companions and I had to yell to each other to be heard. Finally, we left. Look, if what you're looking for is a SPORTS BAR. Rapid City has TONS of those. Check out Kelly's, and Valley Sports Bar for that. I've been there since, and it was back to being the type of place you can hang out with friends and HEAR them, so maybe it's OK now, I hope. Their atmosphere is classy/chatty, not sports-vibey, so I don't know what that was all about. The atmosphere for Cohort's is lovely, a perfect place to meet friends to talk or play board games, or take colleagues after work. In fact they run specials for educators and health care workers. RIGHT ON! Thanks for appreciating our health care workers and teachers! The other reason for the missing star is the food truck that's apparently there permanently. I had very high hopes when the food truck first started coming there. They feature a "Chopped Cheese," a NY style sandwich/hoagie that's amazing. However, when my friend and I ordered them for $16 a piece we were bummed out as the sammie (at least on the east coast is huge) was very small. Think, the bun was about as long as the size of a Bic ink pen. For $16, that's ridiculous. You will still be hungry after that. According to their menu, they have smoked prime rib on Saturdays, and I'd love to try it, but for $26, if it's only as big as their sammie, I'm afraid it is a hard pass. However, Cohort's is fine with you bringing your own snack food in, and I'd advise you to do so unless you want to spend a ton of money on their food truck and still be hungry. Otherwise, it's a lovely place with wonderful vibes and beer!!!!!! And they're dog friendly!!!!!!!! read more

A very new brewery that is doing very solid beers. This should be a must-stop if you're visiting the breweries in Rapid City.
