Very colorful place on the outside. Nicely done on the inside. Our server Latisha was nice and helpful about the area. We were not sure what to get and we only wanted something to share so we asked about two items and ended up splitting the Fish and Chips $20. We got three pieces, French fries and coleslaw. The chips were good but the slaw needed a little sugar for my taste buds. French fires good. It was just before 2 and the place was still full. I would recommend coming here. They have three sections. One is a bar, one a shop and one pizza with an outdoor area. Fun place.

Food was amazing, I got their cocktail of the month too (May "Truffle Shuffle") it was vanilla vodka, raspberry liqueur, crème de cacao, and a splash of cream.. so good! My veggie burger was great, and my fiance enjoyed his prime rib. Definitely will come back if we are in the area.

Stopped in for an early dinner. got a seat outside right away. it was open and they had a big tv for watching tvs. i loved the firehouse decor on the inside. Our waitress was nice and the food came out rather quickly. I had to try their famous beer bread with butter it was pretty good! For mains we ordered the fish tacos and the cobb salad. both had huge portions. The salad came loaded with baked chicken, hard boiled egg, onion, avocado, tomato. Very great portion size and flavorful!

Being he is the fire chief where we live, it's always cool to find a fire themed restaurant so we were excited to try this one. I was a little hesitant due to the ratings given by others but like to judge for myself. I'm glad I did. The exterior looks like a real working fire department. There is outdoor seating with murals on each adjacent wall. The interior is creatively decorated as well. Be sure you're really hungry when you go because the food portions are massive. Service was great. The waitress was very nice and helpful and the food was so good. He got half rack of ribs (that looked like a full rack) with rice and I got the fish tacos with onion rings (which consisted of two extremely large tacos). I'd go back if ever in the area again.

This place is great for kids. The activity sheet kept the kids fully entertained, and the kids burger was so good we had to have two. And our food was delicious, too. But the beer was amazing. Great selection of good tasting beers. And the service was great. Our server was very hospitable. Will deffo return when we're back in Rapid City

It didn't take us 18 years to come back; just 18 hours. Tonight we are sharing the prime rib special with string beans, a baked potato & horseradish sauce, with a glass a prairie flower rose with summer Meadow and strawberry notes. Our prime rib dinner was huge, succulent & juicy and too much for 2 to share It was a beautiful breezy evening, so we sat outside watching Rapid City pass us by. Luke was our server was professional, efficient & helpful. I love their shirts!

We had a great meal and nice beers at the firehouse brewery. My husband and I split "the general" which came with half a chicken and ribs. We couldn't even eat the ribs we were so full!! My parents came with us and they shared the Ruben and really enjoyed it!!

Food was good, service was mid... definitely a cool environment worth visiting!! I split the sandwiches with my dad; the Buffalo burger tasted great and fresh, pork sandwich was very standard, I wish they offered a spicy barbecue. Worth the visit.

Rapid City SD place to cool or quench your flaming thirst would be here. The experience was great, fantastic service from our hostess and servers Rebecca and Emily. Food was top rung of the ladder. Beer choices were varied like the Fire Engine Red, a Summer Flight and dessert was a Tipsy Flamingo. Included are teaser photos of the menu so you got to stop.

Stopped in at Firehouse brewing company for a beer and dinner. My wife and I had the fish and chips . The breading was light and crispy and mildly seasoned. The fish itself was flaky and mild tasting. The coleslaw was awesome a creamy style with slight hint of vinegar. Also had a side salad with blue cheese dressing. We had the fire engine red ale which absolutely rocked. Our server Sam was on the ball when we asked if there was red peppers in the mushrooms due to allergies and there was . We sat outside and enjoy a beautiful evening.

Stopped in for a late lunch on the patio after a wine tasting next door at Firehouse Wine Cellars, and it turned out to be a fantastic experience overall. Our server was friendly, attentive, and knew the menu well--she gave some great recommendations based on our questions, which really enhanced the visit. We started with a couple of appetizers. The Fire Caps (cheesy stuffed mushrooms) were excellent--creamy, zesty, and still had a bit of crunch despite being cooked through. Easily one of the highlights. The Gorgonzola soup came a little late--timing from the kitchen could have been better, as I was still eating the soup when my main course arrived. That said, the soup was rich and creamy, with pockets of gorgonzola and a subtle spice at the end. The bread served with it was soft and airy with a flavorful crust--not overly dense and a good complement to the soup. While tasty, the soup wasn't especially memorable. We also ordered a kids' grilled cheese and fries, and it was toddler-approved with no complaints--her exact review: "No, it's mine." As for drinks, I had the Watch beer, which had an interesting flavor profile--sweet notes of pineapple on the front end, finishing with the crisp bitterness of grapefruit or pine resin. Definitely unique, and a fun pairing with the buffalo lasagna. I went with a local favorite: the Buffalo Lasagna. As a big lasagna fan, I love trying regional twists on classic dishes--and in South Dakota, that means buffalo. The dish was rich and satisfying. The sweet tomato sauce balanced nicely with the earthy depth of the buffalo meat, and the noodles held it all together perfectly. The soft bread served on the side helped mellow out the sweetness, making for a flavorful, well-rounded bite. Overall, it was a very good meal--actually better than described on the menu. While the kitchen timing could use a little fine-tuning, the flavors, service, and ambiance (especially on the patio) made it a memorable stop. I'd gladly return next time I'm in Rapid City.

With all the advertising and old fire trucks along the highway, we had to visit this brewery. The building is super cool but the vibe inside is a bit chaotic. The bartender was nice and the gift shop is great, though the overall experience held us back from a purchase. The beers: Fire Engine Red (great) Black Hills Brown (very good) The Exile Irish stout nitro (great) Prairie Twilight sour (very good) Berrymeister German wheat w/black and raspberry (very good) Tipsy Flamingo sour (great)

Popular place with a wide variety of choices for dinner--friendly and attentive service (if you…read moredon't see your server, ask another--they clearly work well as a team) and interesting decor. Starter and food, drinks, etc., are brought promptly to the table. This is exceptional in a highly popular tourist area. The food is good but could use a little improvement--the grilled mahi-mahi was good, but a little on the dry sauce and definitely needed a sauce. A couple of the dishes did have sauces, but fish is why most Creole restaurants like Brennan's will serve a sauce on the side, or a topping with butter such as Trout Almandine. It doesn't have to be a fancy sauce--the option of good ol' tartar sauce works. The grilled vegetables also needed a little more butter and seasoning. Carrots are good on their own; broccoli and cauliflower need a little cheese or butter and some seasoning to be loved. The IPA (Long John) was excellent. The beer cheese dip and soft pretzels were to die for; the chardonnay was passable. A great choice for dining in a VERY heavily traveled tourist destination. Get there early--it starts filling up fast and all the restaurants around Mount Rushmore close at 9.

Bonus Stop, not on the Hop Passport (yet?)…read more I'm going to have to start with agreeing with another reviewer on the credit card policy. We prefer to pay cash with small businesses to keep them from having to pay credit card fees (or us for that matter, if the fees are passed on to the consumer) but that seems to be unacceptable here. I completely understand having a card on file for keeping a tab open but it makes zero sense to require a card when someone wants to pay cash. We ordered a flight and wanted to pay cash but were told they needed a credit card regardless, just in case. Just in case what? I'm paying for my order before I get it. I would then be free to leave when I choose without additional work for staff or, well, me. Especially since there is indeed a credit card fee here, since we were told the cash price on closing out exactly what we initially ordered - "just let me pay and be done with it" (quoting the hubs). I'd seriously rethink that policy. On to the beer, there were a couple of stand outs, including our favorites the Dark Lager & Mouse Trap. As well as middle of the road brews, falling in the 3 range. We loved the collabs. It's always great to see businesses support each other. There are pizzas on the menu that looked pretty interesting but, circling back to point 1, we were annoyed enough by the credit card requirement that we opted for 1 & done, unfortunately. Note: there's some awesome merch &, I believe, meat for sale. Super cool.
