This is my first Yelp review! Coil Electric is super on it from start to finish. I highly recommend their services. I recently purchased a Tesla and they installed a NEMA 14-50 plug for me. The install looks impeccable. The estimating team and technicians were super friendly and knowledgeable, and answered all of my questions regarding the installation. I spent hours on the phone this morning just trying to find an electrician who would a) pick up their phone and b) be able to make an emergency house call. Then I stumbled upon Coil and what a breath of fresh air. They picked up their phone within the first few rings and were able to send an electrician (VLADIMIR) out to me within the hour. VLADIMIR was at my house for a little under 10 mins and then refused to charge me for the service as he said he was already in the neighbourhood and my problem required a simple fix. VLADIMIR gave me great advice about my now obsolete electric panel and made some suggestions and recommendations re: long term solutions to our problem. Fast forward a few days and after multiple text messages (including over the weekend) with RUSS, I had the parts I needed and OLIVER showed up at my house at 8:30pm (they squeezed me in), ready to help with a more long term solution. RUSS had helped me find the parts I needed by sending me links which allowed me to compare prices and made it easy for me to ensure a speedy delivery. He was awesome! From start to finish, Coit Electrical permanently solved my problem over a 4 day period (would've been 3 but I was out of town for 2 of those days and also had to wait on ordered parts to arrive) and were in my home for no more than an hour combined over two visits. Their rates were better than I expected and each person I dealt with was punctual, friendly and went above and beyond my expectations. I've never been more bowled over by service provider and can't say enough great things about Coil Electric and the level of service they provide. Never taking my business anywhere else! We received a quote a few weeks ago for installing a Tesla charger. 2 technicians were scheduled after we decided to move forward with the install - they were on time and did the installation much faster than we expected (only took them ~3.5 hours). We live in a condo and our garage has a lift system for all units. the techs were thorough and explained everything before and after. really happy with the work! read more

The person I spoke with was very friendly and told me they could schedule me within a week. The short story is that my landlord had to replace our furnace and destroyed my thermostat in the process. I decided to go with a high end thermostat and was unsure how to properly install it. I called Coil Electric and they were there the same day. He inspected my furnace, easily changed out the wires to upgrade the whoknowwhat and voila we have heat. Coil Electric is now my go-to electrician! If I could give them 10 stars I would! Prior to meeting with the owner, Bobby Penn, I had met with two other electricians. Bobby is the only one that left me feeling confident and in good hands. Bobby is extremely knowledgeable and has a true passion for electrical work. He was able to explain to me in laymen terms how he would complete my project and the rationale behind all his decisions. He even noticed some safety hazards with my current electrical and rectified them as he did the work. He knows the codes and laws, which is essential. He tries to do the work in the least intrusive way so as to avoid additional costs associated with re-patching walls. Now that is skill! His work was clean and precise! He has a flare for detail and design and was able to recommend lighting options that would be best for various rooms. His employees are just as professional and welcoming. We had a great experience working with Bobby and his team. He showed up when he said he would (so hard to find!), his bid was reasonable and he got the work done within the timeframe. He also provided a clear itemized estimate so we knew exactly what we were paying for. In addition, Bobby is a very nice, down-to-earth guy. We live in an older victorian with lath & plaster and needed to upgraded the electrical in a couple of rooms and add a sub panel. It would have been easy for them to start making holes everywhere. Instead, they worked very neatly and tried to minimize the intrusion. Will definitely reach out to them again for our electrical needs. read more

Best service. Best guys. Hands down, the best. I'm from a small town, where everybody knows each other. Moving to the city, and having someone come into my home for any kind of work has always felt a little weird... until Coil. They have the knowledge and capability to do an amazing job (they installed my new kitchen lights... that I bought online, without checking on anything and just purchased because I liked them. ‍) Anyway! They were the only company that didn't make me feel bad about my purchase by asking 1000 questions that I didn't know the answers to. Bobby Penn and Coil were fantastic from start to finish! My wife and I did a major remodel of our kitchen and needed some electrical work done. We contacted and got quotes from 3 different electricians and decided to go with Coil Electric. Bobby and the rest of the crew were incredibly patient, explaining everything to us very thoroughly. Coil Electric installed our Tesla wall charger in our garage. The owner, Bobby, answered my phone call immediately. After a brief conversation, I sent Bobby a requested photo of the wall in the garage where we wanted the wall charger installed. He was able to give me a quote over the phone and was able to accommodate our requested short turn around schedule to complete our job on the exact day that we picked up our new Tesla model 3. Coil Electric's communication with me from start to finish was stellar, and actually quite, pleasantly, surprising as well. They use an app tool called "housecall" to keep the customer informed of their appointment(s) as well as texting you when the contractor is on their way to do your job. We are very happy to have been referred to Coil Electric. It was so nice to have such an easy installation to help heighten the amazing experience of owning an electric vehicle. Experiencing electric delivery issues is stressful, but Coil minimized the anxiety by providing prompt and responsive service. Each person I met on this fantastic team was personable and professional. Bob is amazingly prompt and efficient in responding via text or by phone; He was the first electrician to provide an estimate, and this was on MLK holiday! Electricians Vladimir and Oliver did excellent work; The new service drop and circuit box installation look so elegant that it generated a compliment from the PG&E serviceman doing the final utility hookup.
