Very clean and well maintained!…read more Situated in a little shopping center in Belmont on El Camino Real, this laundromat is well maintained. A few eateries are in this shopping center, too, which is a plus. The dryers in the building where I live were not working so I had to take my wet laundry to an area laundromat. Yelpers did not disappoint! I found this laundromat on Yelp with great reviews. The dryers are huge! My loads were dried in under 50 minutes. The washing machines looked large too, very clean. The counters are clean for folding and they have lots of carts to move your loads around from wash to dryer. The washers and dryers take both coins and credit cards. A nice man helped me turn the dryers on because he could tell I was confused, ha-ha! Swipe your card select your timing then just below the payment module is where you push the heat level and "start" button. A regular clothes load should go 45-50 minutes. $0.25 every 5 minutes. Large loads I would go to 60 minutes. There's not any seating other than a couple benches in the back near the detergent dispensers. Most peeps sit in their cars, which I did. Definitely will return if the need comes up again!

I was in a rush that day, so it was really helpful to drop off my clothes and pick them up about an hour later. The second time, I did my laundry myself and was glad to see they have tap to pay and credit card swipe. Super convenient. The place is very clean, which I appreciated. If I dropped a piece of clothing, I didn't feel gross about picking it up off the floor. The washers come in different sizes and prices, so I was able to do fewer loads. There are laundromats closer to me, but this one is the cleanest and easiest to use. Only request I have is to update the vending machine to accept tap to pay, please

Owner's reply is very misleading. The employee was screaming repeatedly "You touched me!" while I…read moredid not. It was very shocking to me the way she acted. ===================== Recently I visited this laundromat and had a shocking experience. Unintentionally I was late to pick up my laundry from washing due to house chores, arriving about 1.5 hours later than expected. My stuff was put away, which I had no complaint, and there were quite a few washers unoccupied when I was searching my laundry. Then a female employee (gray hair, short stature) began yelling at me aggressively before I could say a word. I was given no chance to explain and was immediately threatened. When I tried to leave to avoid further conflict, she continued yelling and threatened to call 911. When I turned back toward the store, she photographed me and my car -- including my license plate -- without my consent, while calling me "bitch." When I asked her to stop, she called 911 and told police I had touched her. I did not touch her. What struck me most: she was screaming and threatening throughout the incident, but when she was speaking with police, I could hear her laughing -- completely calm and cooperative. The contrast was stark and deeply unsettling. Police came, heard both sides separately, and asked me not to return. The owner also showed up. When I described what happened, he told me he didn't believe I could have said nothing to set her off -- essentially dismissing my account on the spot and siding with his employee without looking at any evidence. No apology, no acknowledgment, nothing. I live nearby and I'm concerned about my safety -- she has photos of me and my license plate. Other customers in the area should be aware. What should have been a simple, routine visit, something that could be explained in a few words, turned into one of the most threatening experiences I've had at any business.

I recommend this laundromat for a few reasons-…read more PROS 1. As a woman, I feel safe coming here alone as it's in a safe neighborhood and the place is rarely busy. 2. They have a variety of size washers, ranging from a single load ($6.00/wash), large load (regular loads in 1 for $8/wash) or the industrial washer (8 regular loads in 1 for 11.50/ wash). The prices seem a bit high in my opinion but it's better than destroying my washer with heavy blanket loads! 3. Large 30lb dryers (.25 /6 mins) 4. Washers and dryers LOCK once you start them so you can go for a walk or leave without worrying about it getting stollen (COME BACK IN TIME THOUGH) 5. Clean space 6. Change machines that takes $1, $5, $10 and $20 bills (gives you quarters and dollar coins for the machines) 7. Detergent and softener machines you can purchase if you forget yours ($2 each) Cons 1. Again, the prices are a little high in my opinion 2. Parking is sometimes challenging to find given the time of day PRICES WASH - $6 for single load machine - $8 for large load machine (4 regular loads in 1) -$11.50 for industrial load machine (8 regular loads in 1) - Additional .25-.50 for deluxe or ultra wash (adds additional wash time and /or extra rinse for saturated items) DRY - 30lb dryer $.25 for 6 minutes - 55lb dryer $.25 for 4 minutes

Many that are available are blinking with malfunction errors. I picked hair out of one very small machine (see photo) -- $6 for a little load -- bc nothing better was available. About 10 minutes into the cycle, it malfunctioned. It just stopped and said there was a "communication error." Luckily, I got the door opened and transferred my items to another machine. The floor was already soaking wet - even more so as I struggled to transfer my sodden clothing. I had to pay *another* $6 to start the new machine. THEN it gave me a message stating that I had to insert more money for an "extended wash." I'm assuming bc the clothes weighed so much at this point. There is no in-site attendant and no contact information posted to get money back. I had to try 3 dryers until I found one that worked. By then, I was so frustrated I didn't realize it cost 2x as much as the type I had been trying to use. Machines here cost $6 - $12 per load. Many are broken. There is no attendant and nothing with which to clean counters or floors. It smells like fish paste, cigarette smoke, and cheap, over-fragranced detergent. You would be better off going to the nearest body of water and beating your clothes against a rock.

When I came in that Thursday, the man at the front couldn't find my dresses and told me they weren't there. I genuinely panicked thinking maybe they had accidentally been given to someone else. After looking around again, he came back and told me they would be ready the next day. I wasn't able to make it the next day, so I came back about a week later around 1:43 PM, only to find the store locked with a handwritten note taped inside saying "lunch break, back before 1:00." A lunch break is understandable, but at that point it was well past the time written on the sign. It felt careless and unprofessional, especially after already dealing with issues trying to get my dresses. Another week later, after receiving a reminder call, I returned again. This time the place looked completely chaotic, with clothing racks blocking the door from the inside and flyers taped up saying they had moved locations a week earlier to "Major Cleaners". However, when they called me to pick up my dresses, nobody mentioned the new address. I drove to the Major Cleaners, which thankfully was only a few minutes away, but once again there was another handwritten sign saying they were closed for Memorial Day. I had specifically checked online beforehand to make sure both locations were marked as open because of the holiday. The constant lack of communication, inaccurate information, and overall disorganization from both locations made this such a frustrating experience. I understand small businesses can have issues sometimes, but this felt extremely irresponsible and stressful for a customer simply trying to pick up their belongings. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if other customers have dealt with similar problems here. I have included photos of online showing the store's are currently open even though one is completely shut down and permanently closed, and the other is closed due to a holiday.
