I got my bridesmaid dress altered here and it was super easy to go in and have them measure everything out. The dress was a satin material so it's a little harder for alterations and they did a pretty good job! It was $48 to get it shortened, it's a little more expensive than SF Chinatown but for the convenience and time constraint, it was worth it! read more

Lovely owners and consistent expert tailoring. Cost of every alteration is well worth the results. From minor hemming to decreasing waist on denim to more complicated dress alterations, their work is excellent and turnaround time always meets expectations. Photo is a recent maxi dress where fully lined top was taken in and bottom tiers shortened in length (her idea: taken from top of tiers to maintain aesthetic). When I found the dress, the only size available was a small, so they were able to take down a full size...including from dragging on the floor to ankle-grazing since it was to be worn on a boat (no shoes allowed). I have been coming here in and off for 20 years. We mostly use the wash and fold service for when we don't have time or washing machine in not working etc. I really appreciate the consistency of the work over the years, parking lot that is easy to use, especially when you have a big bag of laundry. Well, I'm just a little too fat for it, but still want to wear it to a wedding next year that happens to be in Mexico. So I took the skirt to All Star Cleaners explained my goal. When I came in to try the dress on, the bustle was a little too high and they fixed it within minutes so I didn't have to come back for another fitting. My friend just moved in around here and during one lazy weekend, I went to visit and I saw that his laundry was piling up. Knowing how lazy he is, i decided to take matters into my own hands. Well kind of my friends, but not really. I looked up a cleaners place nearby and found that this place seemed pretty popular and honest. We loaded up the laundry and took it in around lunch time. Francis and Jenna were there and they explained how the prices worked and how the processed worked, and they were very patient with our questions. We decided to get lunch and desserts nearby and everything was ready for pick up already. The process was super quick and the prices were so reasonable. I was expecting my friend to pay an arm and a leg for his laziness but i guess being lazy was worth it. They folded everything so neatly too that we didn't even want to unpack it into his closet and drawers! Overall, they did a great job! They are fast and efficient and super nice. Another bonus about this place is that they said they do alterations. So i'm excited i found this place because i have a lot of pea coats i need alterations on. Oh, there's also plenty of parking because there is a private lot so it's another bonus for you in case you have loads and loads of laundry. The hours operation are good too, my friend started to drop off his laundry before work and is able to pick it up after work. YAY!! read more

So they had to go beyond splendid. You know those little signs that cleaners have that they won't hold your clothing for more than 30 days? All Star has one too. Don't believe it. They called a few days ago. There had some items I had left behind. Two years ago. Being just a touch cynical, I concluded they wanted to finally, finally be paid. Fair enough. I typically use them for dress shirts and other dry cleaning. Always prompt, fairly priced, clean and service with a smile! Do NOT use All Star Cleaners!!!! I NEVER leave bad reviews, but I feel like I need to protect other consumers in this case... I paid $250 to have the wrinkles taken out of four brand-new 108" drapery panels from Pottery Barn. Not only did the panels come back looking MORE wrinkly, but two of them were RUINED with tea or coffee stains. When I picked-up my drapes, I saw them come out of a dirty van with no plastic protecting them. Apparently, they had been sent away to a third party for service. I talked directly to the owner, showing him the stains and how wrinkly the drapes were. He said he would talk to the person who completed the service to see what happened and call me. I brought in a long gold dress I needed hemmed for a wedding. The owners were very nice. They brought me to the dressing room where I changed into my dress and shoes. Then the seamstress measured the length of the hem. She was really detail oriented and asked me if I planned on keeping the train on the back of my dress. When I considered hemming it off, she warned me it would change the style of my dress. I ended up keeping the hem and my gosh, I LOVE the length. It's perfect. I dropped it off a little over a week before I needed it and it was ready when I went to pick it up. The prices are reasonable and parking was very easy. They did a great job with cleaning and preserving my wedding dress. I initially was thinking about going to i love green clean in Burlingame, but for whatever reason their phone number wasn't working even though I tried for a couple of days. All Star Cleaners, on the other hand, was super responsive and helpful on the phone, so I decided to go there instead. Wedding dress cleaning is $250, which I think is reasonable especially given that my wedding dress had a HUGE train and was really pretty dirty from having been dragged on the ground outside for hours on my wedding day. It took about 5 days for them to clean, and then they preserved it in a beautiful box with acid-free tissue paper (additional $50). We were very happy with the results! read more
