They follow up with you when they say they will. I've been meaning to give them a rating for a long time now, and the service I received over the past week has pushed me to do so. My wife has a ring that belonged to her late grandmother. Nothing crazy expensive, but of the utmost value to her. Over time, the settings had worn down and in some cases even broke off. The stone had fallen out as a result. I didn't even think twice about where to go to get the ring repaired. I dropped it off on a Friday. The following Monday I received a phone call with a price on the repair. I assumed it would take a week or so to get done, but was assured it would be complete and ready for pickup by Thursday. They beat their promise date and had it ready for pickup two days ahead of schedule. Nathan knew that I was out of town for work and wouldn't be returning until later in the week, but made it a priority to ensure a quick turnaround time. They tried to change the battery, but the watch still wouldn't work... they told me that the watch was "totaled" and beyond repair. They were the only people to have ever opened the back of this watch. I took it up to Chester's in Parma, and he immediately asked if someone else had worked on the watch before. He showed me that "whoever" tried to change the battery had ripped out a few components, actually showing me what the missing pieces were... Don Basch broke my watch, then claimed it was unfixable. Chester fixed my watch same-day, it's working again! Not giving 1 star because the storefront is nice and clean, people are friendly, and they did a good job cleaning my wife's wedding ring.

I went back into his shop on Monday and he explained what the coins were worth (at market rate). He was also very upfront and transparent on his fees (which ended up being around 10%). I had taken my watch to a major clock and repair business in the Berea, Ohio area. For years they replaced my battery and pins in the band, always telling me that its not the pins, but the hole had widen and it will keep falling out. The last time they did not put the battery in right and bent the hour hand. I thought my favorite expensive watch was broke. My wife new how much I like my watch and for christmas bought me an expensive watch. I liked it but liked my old watch more. I called the jewelry shop and they informed me about Basch's repair business. It turned out the reason my watch was not working correctly, is the hour hand was bent when the other store put in the last battery (young know it all man). Basch's watch repair expert realized there was a broken pin stuck in the pin hole, and unbent the hour hand. Watch looks and works like the day I bought it ten years ago. Since I had a backup pair to wear I decided to wait, plus I figured they must be doing good work if they're so busy.
