My daughter, who lives out of state, ordered me a lovely bouquet for Mother's Day. Colchester Florists is also my companion's go to florist for me. The flowers were never received on Saturday. Nor did I get a phone call from anyone. On Monday morning my daughter called to say that the flowers were never delivered! A short time later I received the bouquet, partially wilted, the three roses bruised and torn. I discarded the roses. The flowers were forlorn and sadly unacceptable. I called. My daughter called. I was told to come in with my flowers for an exchange! This is just not the Colchester Florist of the past! I am disabled and cannot drive. My companion had left on a business trip so I was home bound. I explained my situation to someone at the florist"s and they grudgingly offered to bring me a substitute, which was accomplished within the hour, and is beautiful. What we went through to get there was really unfortunate, and my poor daughter was embarrassed and saddened by the ordeal. This is not how a business who wants to keep its customers should accommodate them and repair problems. I am so very sorry to be writing this review. Living in such a rural community, it's definitely going to be difficult to replace Colchester Florist. read more

Then he walked around to try to get someone for help and was ignored until he walked into the wine section thinking it had an exit and suddenly was followed around the store without even receiving a hello from an employee. He walks out upset mentioning that he was not even acknowledged and ignored by the employees and was ready to go to another coffee spot. In an attempt to see if this was true, i walked inside in my injured state. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a man telling me he would be right there with me & then a lady stopped her conversation with her friends to offer me help. Coincidentally, he is a dark skinned Hispanic & I am light skinned which has made a difference in the past in the way we are treated. Is this another one of those instances? It was our first time here and I felt so uncomfortable for my partner who was just trying to get me a coffee and had that experience.
