We get a dozen cinnamon sugar mini donuts and two hot chocolate's with no whip cream. Made fresh, hot, lightly dusted with cinnamon & sugar, fluffy, not too greasy and so BOMB! The staff are always cool too. They have half dozen, dozen or a bucket. Even a donut sundae. There's a drink menu with a variety of hot drinks, iced drinks, blended drinks and smoothies. We went ahead and ordered some dole whip and then, slowly watched like 5+ groups that were behind us get their ice cream before us. We brought this to our attention. At first they said "sorry we only have one guy doing it. This made no sense as the people behind us got dole whip. Then a few seconds later they admitted no one was doing it. A few mins later and and a few more successful pickups later the manager came out to ask what was going on. I explained yet again (mind you the firework show was well underway). He promptly went to the back and made our dole whip. He then explained there was a mixup with orders and who knows what. I walked the few doors to La Bonita after the sandwich and despite mixed Yelp reviews, I checked out the ice cream. I ended getting a medium cup with two very generous scoops of ice cream--one piñon and one chongos zamoranos which was deascribed to me as a cheese like flavor. I had to try it. I was given the cup and I sat at a small table at the rear of the shop. The ice cream was very good. It has been a while since I've had piñon and it was good to have it again. Service was quick and a very nice woman let me go in front of her becasue she was getting several things for her family. If you want to have a largew choice of ice cream and with some very different flavors, this is a place to come. There are seveeral Michoacan ice cream stores in town but this is the closest and it's on my way home from downtown. I'll be back!!

Unfortunately, today's experience was very disappointing. The employee working today was very short with us and didn't seem interested in understanding what I was asking. My order was also made incorrectly. I ordered two strawberry banana slushies with boba for the two kids I had with me, but only one was made. We had to wait even longer while she made the second drink, and instead of apologizing, she was dismissive. The biggest disappointment was with the claw machines. We spent around $20 on tokens, and one of the children (both under 7 years old) didn't win anything and was very upset. On previous visits, when we've spent a lot of money and the kids came away empty-handed, the staff has kindly given them a small stuffed animal as a goodwill gesture. I understand that's not required, but it's something this location has done before and it's one of the reasons we've continued coming back. When I politely asked if they still did that, the employee immediately said no without any explanation or empathy. I've always enjoyed coming here, and this has been our family's go-to boba spot because it's convenient and usually has friendly service. Sadly, today's experience left a very different impression. Between the poor customer service, the incorrect order, and the lack of kindness, we'll be taking our business elsewhere.
