Tucked away in an empty plaza is the best place to get an al pastor burger. I'm obsessed. Bummed I live so far from either locations but completely worth the drive. We ordered the carne asada fries and 2 Aztec tacos because we each wanted to try a taco and share the fries, but got carne asada fries, one Aztec taco and an order of Aztec fries. So a lot of food!! We ended up just splitting the taco, so we could each try some of it and it was delicious. We also really enjoyed the carne asada fries, but weren't all too crazy about the Aztec fries. The store was also extremely warm inside and not a whole lot of places to sit if you have more than 2 people. The service was great and we didn't have to wait too long for our food to arrive to the table. It's a small walk up restaurant with a handful of small tables. Lots of items to choose from. We ordered their popular shrimp burritos, al pastor burritos and shrimp tacos. We also brought home some Aguas Frescas. Our cashier was very helpful. Provided us some recommendations and handed us the "off menu" options as well. My husband found Chino's online while we were out running errands and we headed over for a quick bite. We pulled into the parking lot and noticed that most businesses in the shopping center were closed but Chino's was open and busy, even at 2pm on a Friday afternoon. We walked in and ordered at the counter. I wasn't too hungry so I ordered a carne asada taco and he ordered a carne asada burrito. I saw a review in Facebook and thought I'd check out their Taco Tuesday special. I got an El Pastor taco and a Chorizo taco. They were both loaded with meat and guacamole. The meat was cooked perfectly and after adding some of their spicy red sauce, gobbled them both down. Chorizo was spicy goodness. A perfect blend of meat and spice. Al Pastor was also a tasty treat. Both tacos overflowed and I had to scoop up the meat and not leave a scrap. I had a medium Jaimica drink that was perfect. Not too sweet. Some places fill their drinks with sugar. Chino's does it right. The woman at the register was so friendly and helpful. She answered all of my questions. The food came out very quickly. I've been here a few times and the food has never disappointed. Everything that I have ordered has been really good and I recommend that everyone give it a try. Al Pastor Fries ($15 after tax + after an "extra fee 50 cents?") 7/10 - pretty good! Salsa on the side includes red and green sauce. Those are both pretty spicy, but quite flavorful. - fries are crispy, the box they put it in is huge, and you will definitely feel like you got your worth in terms of food quantity - they top the fries with fresh salsa, guac, and sour cream - the amount of meat they put in the box is quite substantial. I felt as if I had received a perfect portion of meat. Sometimes I've had al pastor fries that are way too salty, but this place almost tips the scale towards too salty. It was almost too much salt Overall great al pastor fries, and it was nice that they included some guac and lots of salsa. The first time they were unexpectedly closed, but this time around the 30 minute trip wasn't a bust and I was able to order the Aztec shrimp fries like I always wanted since hearing about them several months back. Aztec Shrimp Fries: Monterey Jack Cheese, Grilled Shrimp, Grilled Onion, Grilled Jalapenos, Bacon Pieces, Chipotle Sauce & Guac over french fries. The fries were great, and the customer service was really good. The restaurant was packed and I was told that the serve time would be 20 minutes but they managed to get it done in 15 minutes, which was awesome. I wanted to try their chorizo breakfast burrito, but was told that they're only served doing breakfast hours.
