Service is terrible. Celia is not knowledgeable of the Signatures. I ordered a Like it (small) of Caramel Turtle Temptation and was charged over $11 for it. I asked why and explained it's a signature. She stated it wasn't. Finally she said ok and said she charged for extra caramel and nuts. She originally put a spit of both in it. On Dec. 10, 2024 at approximately 1pm est, I had an extremely disappointing experience at this Stone Cold Creamery location. When I arrived, there was no one at the counter to assist me. I waited patiently for about 10 minutes before an employee finally came out from the back. However, instead of acknowledging my presence or offering to serve me, he went straight to the counter and began writing in a book, completely ignoring me. I felt like my time and business were not valued at all. Customer service is a key part of any experience, and this lack of attention and professionalism was unacceptable. I hope management addresses this issue to ensure other customers don't experience the same treatment. I see why this location has bad reviews. Staff is very rude. As soon as you walk in they seem annoyed they have to work. They would not honor a gift card, just told us it's too bad and had me pay for the full price and to call corporate if I have a complaint. Don't worry about it guys. I won't be bothered again. My daughter and I had a nice visit here. I tried the Pumpkin Cheesecake Signature Creation Ice Cream in a cup, it's made with the seasonal pumpkin cheesecake, made with pumpkin cheesecake ice cream, heath candy bars, and whipped topping. I added Caramel and graham crackers so I could have the taste of a real pumpkin cheesecake. This is some great stuff! My daughter took the simple route of Cake Batter in a waffle cone, she enjoyed her cone, saying she feels like she was eating real cake. I think that's the point. The staff was very friendly and professional explaining the different flavors telling us their favorites. We went around 6pm and there wasn't a lot of people in the store. My daughter and boyfriend tagged along to my chiro appointment, ironically the same night as a Yelp chiro event. It was all the way in Roswell, but no one was starving so we ended up heading back north and just getting ice cream. I haven't been to Cold Stone in a minute, more like over a million minutes. I honestly am not the biggest fan of their ice cream, but my child is nondiscriminatory when it comes to ice cream, and will go anywhere. We initially wanted a bobba tea/ice cream place, but alas they were closed, so we ended up here. It was really slow service, and the staff wasn't overly friendly. I got one for my daughter's friend to go, and then Sydney got some ice cream with gummys in it. She seemed to enjoy her cotton candy ice cream with lemon sorbet and gummies on top. I tried the cotton candy, but it didn't really have that much flavor to me. This place is the type where they will mix/smash in toppings so it's mixed throughout the ice cream versus just loaded on the top if you so choose. I am glad I didn't get any. Hers just wasn't worth it. I guess I don't find their ice cream all that creamy or flavorful, but it hit the spot for my kid. My boyfriend opted out as well, but that's never a stretch for him, because he typically eats pretty darn healthy. I'm glad they were open late, and I'm glad my daughter got her fix, but I'll get mine elsewhere. read more

When I was young, I remember the first Cold Stone coming to town. Ice cream made like this was revolutionary. It has been at least 20+ years since I've been...and my memories far exceeded my experience. It was meh. The ice cream all tasted similar to me...like that plastic sort of aftertaste of cheap grocery store frosting. That tasted like the base of the ice cream. I tried I think 6 flavors and just didn't like any of them (this is not common for me!). I had a gift card, so I got some because I knew leaving anything on the gift card would just be a waste. When they added my mix in (Heath), they just took a few scoops from a jar. They had the full candy bars displayed, but didn't use them. I remember a brand new candy bar being opened and mixed into my ice cream. Do they not do that anymore? My kids liked it, but they like any ice cream, so I don't know that it counts. Bathroom was gross. Smelled terrible, felt like a gas station bathroom. Atmosphere is just ok...just wasn't a fantastic experience. Not impressed. read more

Walked into cold stone on Main Street with my family on 5/19 and stayed in line for a couple of minutes before we were told by one of the employees that the person in front of us would be their last customer for the day..... wait, what??!! Basically, we had to leave as they could not attend to us because they are closed, he said. First of all, we walked in just before closing time, no employee mentioned that they were closed and the door was open. I'm here every week without fail. They have a high turnover, really high. But they obviously train them well. I love that I walk in the door and the know what I want before I order it (I guess I shouldn't be proud of that). The ice cream is good with something to suit most tastes. The ice cream is solid; the prices and the lack of enthusiasm by the staff here is not. I remember when Cold Stone's first came on the scene and when you would tip the crew, they'd sing a chant or a song or something. It was a destination for more than ice cream; it was an experience and patrons had some laughs. They felt entertained. Last night, my wife and kids and I went to this location. I swear that one of the guys rolled his eyes when I asked for a sample of the lemon sorbet. He certainly did change expression or utter a single word. He was annoyed..........doing his job. Let me compare you to Brusters; equally delicious ice cream and the most customer centric ice cream shop I've ever visited. The Chic Fila of ice cream. Take note. Study their customer service strategy and perhaps you won't go out of business. Perhaps you'll have repeat customers, just not this one. I won't be back. If I were you, either train and encourage your staff to be friendly or risk closing your doors as customers tire of poor options in a sea of great options. This location is not what it used to be. I went in this week to order ice cream for my entire family two like it's and two love it's of a variety of flavors. I noticed that my love it in the apple pie a la mode wasn't filled all the way before I even left. I thought to myself "hm this is weird, usually they but so much ice cream in it." I also noticed that I couldn't see any of the apple slices in the ice cream like I normally could. I thought that was weird as well but I just verified that it was what I was asking for, paid and went home. As soon as I got home to eat my ice cream I had so search for the apple slices. There were probably a total of 4 slices AT MOST in my Love it sized ice cream with the tiniest bit of cinnamon. Needless to say I was annoyed. I went back the next day thinking that there would be another person working but no it was the same lady working by herself. It was 9:05pm. I walk up to the counter to order and she says "we actually closed at 9." I replied " I thought you closed at 10" she said "we will be closing at 10 very soon". What kind of explanation is that? Online your business hours during the weekdays are 10AM-10PM if those hours change you should update them on your website instead of having customers come all the way to your establishment to be turned away. I attempted to make my own creation, which I have always done, up to this point, without a problem. I asked for strawberry, cheesecake, and french vanilla mixed. I was promptly told by the Sales Associate that they were only allowed to mix a maximum amount of two flavors. I explained to him that I've always ordered in the same manner, without any issues and he just looked at me and shrugged his shoulders. So I asked him to go ahead and charge me for the additional scoop, if he must, but I came here for that particular mix. He told me that they have received complaints in the past from customers about mixing 3 flavors and were no longer allowed to do so. I literally just ordered the same thing from a different location last week so I asked him to call corporate, to confirm. He proceeded to the back to call someone, spoke to them, in a hushed voice for about 5 mins, then walks towards me while saying, "so the answer is no, right?" Loud enough so that I can hear that portion of the conversation. I still wasn't convinced, so I asked who he talked to and he claimed it was his store manager. I then attempted to call corporate myself, but was unable to get through to a person. I decided to come up with a solution of my own and went ahead and told him to mix the strawberry and cheesecake in the quart for me and I would by a "like it" size for the french vanilla. I asked him if mixing all these together would be a problem, since I was paying for it and he initially said it would be fine. Once he started mixing the first 2 flavors, I asked him to go ahead and mix in the last flavor from the "like it" I just purchased and he once again, froze up and informed me that he was, under no circumstances, allowed to do so.I managed to convince him to do it anyway and told him I only wanted the graham cracker crust as a mix-in. He scooped a tiny scoop of add in and proceeded to mixing over a quart if ice cream, I told him that wouldn't be enough and he needed to add more, he proceeded to adding very little again. I told him I needed more, until I could actually see a little of the mix in. He then proceeded to check me out and asked for $28. I asked him to see what I was being charged for and counted 11 mix-ins! I asked him directly how many mix-ins I used and he said 11, so I asked him about the free mix-ins and he stammered saying that I initially had 15 mix-ins, but he gave me 4 for free. This was definitely not true and he was very rude and condescending. I asked to speak to his manager, which he went in the back room again to call and talked to for a few minutes, then finally came back out to give me the phone. The lady sounded like she was working the cash register at another store and could barely understand what I was saying, so she started regurgitating whatever he must've told her to me. She then asked for my name and number to see if there's something she could do for me later. This was confusing. I told her, as the manager, she is accountable for a suitable resolve. She then agreed to ring me up for 8 mix-ins bringing my total to a whopping $25! For ice cream?!! I gave up and allowed the store associate to issue a refund on my card for the difference. The next day, I checked my bank account to find out that he went behind me, after leaving the store and charged my card for the full $28! It's not the amt that's an issue, it's the principal. Isn't this considered CC fraud. Also, I have since called another store manager who confirmed that there isn't a 2 ice cream limit to how many you can mix up; hence the name 'Make your own creations".
