Hands down my favorite ice cream place! I came by on a Friday afternoon so the crowd hadn't picked up yet and didn't have to wait in line. I wanted to try the two new Bridgerton flavors and a couple of other new ones. I settled on the earl grey crème brûlée and the Queen charlottes cake! I actually wish the earl gray had more crème brûlée presence but loved the hints of bergamot in it. The queen charlottes cake was quite tasty and loved the pieces of cake and berries in there. I don't think I've ever walked past this Jeni's and there not be a wrapping line outside the door. The store itself is very small, but there's a good amount of seating and swings outside. We got the signature with 3 half scoops and I tried the new double dough flavor, darkest chocolate & my favorite of all time- salted peanut butter with chocolate flecks. We tried to give this place a fair shot, which is why we went about 3 times in the same month to try as many flavors as possible to review fairly given the many positive reviews. This must be a local favorite because we do not understand the hype at all, after trying just about all flavors only one was almost worth going back and that's the lemon blueberry I believe is the combo. It was the only one that actually had flavor- we don't usually gravitate toward citrus flavored ice cream. The strawberry shortcake parfait was the best thing there & it was due to the strawberry sauce, not the ice cream. The worst flavor is the banana cream pudding which is dairy free; they use imitation banana favoring, not real banana and the ice cream is a disgrace, the audacity to even call it banana cream pudding is WILD. We recently found Antico has a little gelato bar & this will be our go to cold treat going forward. It's a little pricier per scoop, but definitely worth it flavor & size wise. read more
