After reading that, it probably won't shock you to learn that I have high blood sugar. The thing about a steak sandwich is that it's really important to get the peppers and onions just right. I don't know how to do it, which makes it tough to explain it, but you have to cook them each the exact right amount so that they each pick up a little bit of the taste from each other, but not so long that they turn into one homogeneous mush. The cheesesteak from Shawnniecakes had perfectly cooked peppers and onions! It also had a very good bun, and a generous portion of steak. My wife got a few things (breakfast scramble, potato salad, baked mac, and molasses cookie), at least one of which was for one of our kids. She said they were all excellent. I believe her favorite item was the molasses cookie, but I know she said everything was very good. I guess I never mentioned how my toffee cookie was. There may have been more available to me if I asked. The person that came out from the back was very kind and offered a free sample of the bread pudding they had that day: cinnamon roll. The small bites of the sample (warm, gooey, cinnamon with frosting) convinced me to get a full size. Wright Touch also had a cupcake flavors of vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, red velvet, and mint chocolate in the case and I choose the mint chocolate. All the cupcakes have a filling in the middle. Both the bread pudding and cupcake were great. The cake and frosting were dense and not too sweet. The bread pudding was everything you would hope for from a cinnamon roll and then some: soft, sweet, and chewy. Tasted homemade and I have no notes. I would highly recommend checking out Wright Touch for a sweet treat or bread pudding. I can't wait to go back!
