We love Coldstone, but this isn't really the *best* location. We frequently order online and then pick up in the store. A majority of the time, they are either out of a certain ice cream or they completely forget something in our order, mainly the waffle cone. If you're ordering online, it is a MUST that you check your order before leaving. The last time I came in, someone apparently had picked up my order. The guy behind the counter said that "the order had been picked up already" and asked me to check my app. I told him that it wasn't a DoorDash order, the order was for me. He seemed kind of annoyed that he had to remake it - though he was training someone and seemed to already be annoyed by the man he was training when the trainee was just asking questions and trying to help. I am sad to see that this is the only Cold Stone near me and it's quite far (14 miles away). My husband grew up eating Cold stone and it has always been a treat for him. So seeing it not busy is heartbreaking. I am not a chocolate fan but with the right combination it can make magic happen!! They have a huge variety of toppings! Shared parking lot but found a spot pretty easy. Small shop Sat 7pm and 2 employees. My only complaint about these type of ice cream places is that 1 worker helps 1 customer at a time, not sure why they cannot take an order and then complete the order and have a cashier ring you up. The process of 1 order at a time then same worker rings you up takes to long for customer service. Plus you really shouldn't have anyone handling money then handle food...unless of course they wash hands every time. They really need to figure out a better streamlined way. The ice cream is very good and taste great, however by the time they mix it up and add stuff the ice cream gets to melting stage so it's almost like having soft serve ice cream. I prefer my ice cream frozen and firm. Prices for 2 small cups approx $13 I had one a special coffee ice cream with toppings and my GF only added strawberries to her strawberry ice cream. Employee doesn't bother to scrape the bottom of the container to get the frozen part. Got the melted part. And the toppings weren't chopped and mixed well at all. The most unprofessional Cold Stone. A few weeks ago I ordered some ice cream for some guest through Uber Eats. My super nice & helpful Ubereats driver reached out to me and told me that they did not have any of the toppings I asked for. Fast forward to today, I go to the store to pick up a cake for my son's birthday. I get here and it's a sign that says new store hours, on Friday the new sign states that this location open at 1pm. Just leaving from this shop. So disappointed! I bought a cake which they said they could not write on because of COVID then proceeded to hand me a Happy Birthday sign to stick in my cake that was not wrapped and was handed from an older woman to the young man at the register neither or whom had on gloves. Then the woman proceeded to walk down the line grabbing the scrappers to scrape off residue from the cold slabs again with no gloves! Very disappointed!! We've settled down in Houston and there seems to be only one in the general area so we drive 20+ miles just to get some ice cream. Today I got off from my shift at the hospital as a nurse, and I decided to get a tub of birthday cake ice cream with my wife's favorite mix-ins. Unfortunately there was a crazy storm and the power went out while I was there. They had already made my ice cream and the manager/owner came out and told the customers to stay inside and everyone had to pay in cash. Unfortunately no one had cash , so she demanded every single person to leave there ice cream or leave it with a loved one inside and to go find an ATM. Mind you there is a crazy storm with torrential flooding....I felt disrespected and for a place of business that thrives on customer service they were doing a terrible job of it. It was a matter of $20 with all the other orders inside but the owner haggled us to go find cash because the power went out as we were about to pay. I've lost my respect for this cold stone and unfortunately if all other comets ones really treat there customers like this then all other cold stones as well.
