While this place was a hot commodity when it first opened locations it has since become less popular but that doesn't mean the ice cream creations have taken a back seat to anyone. My family still enjoys coming here from time to time to create anything their heart desires. My 4 year old loves watching the people mash treats in the ice cream on the frozen block thinks it's the coolest thing and seeing his eyes just soak it all in is like a treat for me building memories. read more

Awful service! When there is a set time for your doors to close customers expect you will be open until that ending time strikes. For example, if you close at 9 pm do not close the doors and stop accepting customers at 8:40-8:45. If you don't want customers coming in closer to your closing time then make it earlier. read more

Terrible. I pull up to the place at 9:04 p.m. on a Friday night and I see the posted hours in the glass next to the door, "11 a.m.-10 p.m." I walk to the front door... Locked. As I walk to the side door for another try, the employee inside walks to the back room out of sight. And wouldn't you know it... LOCKED. I haven't eaten at a Cold Stone in over 4 years. This takes me back to when I lived in south FLA. They still have one of my favorite flavors, but the got ride of Knights in White Chocolate. Let me just knock the couple of negatives off right now. It's always has been a higher cost ice cream experience vs many of the other places ( but it can be worth it ). The lines can be long and seating for more than 16 people, yeas right. Now the good stuff, love the way they mix the ingredients on the stone slab, really makes a difference. Huge variety of things to add as toppings. Now be careful if you want to "build your own", if you don't realize it this is one way it gets crazy expensive. Another thing , the like it size, is usually more the enough, the gotta have it size is for ice cream crazies , way too much. This location staff did a good job of cranking out the goods with only 2 guys and a ton of people, kudos to them. When next time in the mood and I'm not too far away, I'd stop here again! read more

Cold stone creamery, spring Cypress location. It would be nice if you're store would open during your scheduled hour. Got here on a Saturday at 12 to pick up cake for daughters birthday and store was not open. Store hours are 12 - 9. It's 12 :40 and still no go. Seriously, annoying. Brought kids back the very next day. Arrived at 12 and what do you know, not open. The same two girls who came late the previous day showed up at 12:10 and put a sign on the door. Opening at 12:30. Let's see how long this location last with this type of behavior. read more

There are a handful of negative reviews here but I'd like to add a relatively positive one. I've been here a couple times with a friend that loves Cold Stone. I feel like because of him, I have an affinity to this place, since a lot of their other locations have closed around Houston. The salted butterscotch brownie creation is really good! I'd even add some Oreos to this if you're anything like me and looove Oreos in all forms of ice cream. You can easily share the small size with another person. Don't get the waffle bowl because it's not worth it for the price. I'd also recommend the strawberry cheesecake and cookie dough creations. As for service, I've never had a bad experience, but I can see that it's a problem for some other customers. I'll leave this review with a 3 star (A-OK) until something bad makes me want to demote this Cold Stone location. read more

I came in two weeks before my daughter's 3rd birthday and ordered a custom cake from them. Then, I calmed the day of the party and asked if it is ready. The lady said it is not ready. After that, they called back and said the printer is broken and can't make the cake and called me many times over the week to tell me. These were complete lies because I never received any phone calls from them and if they did call me why not leave a voicemail. I had no choice but take what they can make. She said there will be a discount and different frosting on top. Again, they lied about the frosting. It was a standard cake with a measly $3 discount. DON'T ORDER A CAKE FROM THEM!!! They will forget your order and makeup lies on why they forgot. The only saving grace is that I bought figurines and the other restaurant helped set it up nicely. read more

The ice cream at Cold Stone is consistently OK, being a chain and all. But the service at this location is pretty pathetic, even for a chain. They typically only have a bunch of teenagers there with no supervision, and they will simply ignore you as they joke and giggle amongst themselves and shove each other around. So obviously the output can't be anything great. My wife was feeling adventurous and ordered the Churro Caramel Crave, which is a fancier dessert, and what she got looked nothing like the nice picture on the menu, including burnt churros. read more

I stopped by here yesterday after grocery shopping as a cool down (lol). I've heard of this place but don't see many around so I lucked up. I walked in and no one was there. I glanced the ice creams for about 2-3 minutes, still no one. I rang the best and ironically heard someone flush the toilet (LOL). She greeted me and I asked to sample a few flavors. They have a good variety of flavors but nothing too diff from Baskins or Marbel Slab. I ended up ordering the birthday cake flavor with pretzels and strawberries mixed in on a waffle cone. I was sooooo excited to dive in but it honestly wasn't that great. The strawberries did it NO justice and tasted like they were 12 days old. The pretzels provided that sweet/salty mixture so I enjoyed that part but the strawberries was a waste. As soon as I got to the car I threw the strawberries out - they tasted so bad. And I'm a strawberry lover so I really wanted this to taste well. I think this place will flourish if they focus on the mixtures posted and also invest in FRESH fruit. I eat strawberries almost everyday so I know what they should taste like and ColdStone wasn't it. All in all, the bathroom lady was very nice and helpful but I doubt I'll return. read more

We signed up to their club a couple of years ago, which sends us BOGO coupons by email on your birthday & a couple of other times throughout the year which can be used multiple times in the week before they expire as there are no listed limits. The last 2 visits there the ice cream was partially melted, but they just offer excuses as to why, and none of them have been related to their freezer issues. Currently they have an "April Showers" BOGO through 5/11/18. I received this on 5/4/18 and have used it 3 time, the last being yesterday with no issues as usual. Today I stop in and Maria SR gave me a hard time with the promo saying it is only good for 1 visit. If there is a limit, it needs to be mentioned, otherwise, don't give your customers a hard time! After witnessing the tragic event of my ice cream falling to the ground immediately after purchase, before I had the opportunity to even taste my purchase, imagine my surprise when the ice cream technician deigned to charge me 6 additional dollars merely for a replacement ice cream to replenish the one lost due to her negligent handling. In fairness, the ice cream itself was delicious. However, Cold Stone is clearly a reference not only to the preparation of their product, but also the disposition of their hearts. :( read more
