I was very disappointed in my experience today attempting to get food at the bagel Meister. I stopped in because I was gonna grab some bagels and I like to look at there dessert boxes that they have that is usually a deal on a couple different pastries. I walked into the store I wasn't greeted, but I walked into the counter. I looked at the pastries and still no one said anything to me. I looked up to see the two people behind the counter scrolling on their phones, and I could see a shot into. I guess their kitchen area behind the counter where that person was also scrolling on their phone. In my mind that is terrible customer service. The fact that they didn't greet me or asked me what I wanted as I stood there was so rude. But they didn't even realize I was there probably because everybody was scrolling on their phone. Very disappointed. And it wasn't like there was a lot of people inside. There was a small group of three people that look like they may have been waiting on food. Makes me question customer service with businesses nowadays. I left without getting anything. read more

I come here about every 2 weeks when I come to Douglasville, have been for years. I absolutely love their bagels! They are the best hands down. And I really like the coffee and pastry choices. But every time I come here, no matter if it's busy or slow, the front of the house is always a mess--the tables are almost always dirty, the coffee counter has coffee splatters every where and the condiment counter always has sugar, cream, trash all over it. It's disappointing to me to come to a mom and pop place that is so good but seems to have very little pride on appearance. I want to come here and it be clean for once. I've worked in the food industry for years and I know customers enjoy walking into a clean restaurant where the owners noticeably take pride in their joint. Otherwise, the customer service is always great and friendly. If it was clean, I'd give it 5 stars. read more

For being a bagel and sandwich shop, you need to upgrade your eggs on your breakfast sandwiches please ! To real fried eggs! It takes one minute to fry one fresh egg on a flat top grill. For a $8 bacon, egg and cheese on an everything bagel sandwich, I did not expect a thin pre cooked egg patty and a small slice of cheese from the brand name of the shop. The sandwich is all bread and no fill. Bacon was fine, and bagel was soft enough but this will be the first and last time I'll be stopping in. Even though Douglas donuts got rid of their bagels at this location . I'd still eat their b.e.c. croissant sandwich before I go back for what I got today. McDonald's eggs even look better and eggs better than this. The name should be bagel schmeister. Because the bagels and schmears are obviously good. Not sure how I didn't notice this spot, because I have been to this plaza multiple times! I am so thankful I stopped by to work for a while because it was such an inviting and laid back atmosphere. The cashier was wonderfully kind which was a compliment to the beautiful selection of bagels, pastries, and variety of tasty hot and cold beverages. The bathroom was clean and conveniently had a changing table, so this is for sure a place for families! We've been coming to BagelMeister for years. Its good to have a local bagel shop that provides good service and delicious food. Pros: Fresh assortment of bagels with a nice crunch and chew, though I stick to the honey cracked wheat and occasionally the Asiago cheese bagel; the ingredients are fresh & good, my favorites being the smoky goodness of the meaty bacon and the honey cracked wheat bagel, clean restaurant and restrooms, friendly staff, & good vibes. Cons: with most places lately, staffing issues can lead to longer than preferred wait times, not the cheapest, & the baked goods look yummy but are just ok to me. They've tried to optimize the space several times for additional seating. I think moving the menu board behind the cash register makes the wait longer as unfamiliar or uncertain customers have to wait to see the menu options and hold up the line. I craved a bagel and decided to revisit The bagel Meister. Haven't been since the car crashed through the front door . The woman that took my order was pleasant and then it all went down hill. I ordered the bacon egg and cheese on a sesame bagel. When I went up to the counter to get my order the young lady whom had taken over the counter acted as if I was invisible, a simple smile would have sufficed. When she finally came over to me she didn't speak. So I asked her to warm up my sandwich as the cheese wasn't melted. She grabbed it and walked in the kitchen. Never spoke, I then asked for the cup to get the coffee I had ordered. I went to make my coffee, no creamer and several coffee jugs were empty. (Before placing my order I had asked is breakfast was still being served, one would assume coffee would be part of breakfast- my mistake) I again went to the counter to ask for cream- where this hound lady replied "milk", I said no I'm asking for cream or half and half. Where she again replied "milk", I said no creamer. She then spoke a little more and said - all we have is milk! Here are images of my sandwich, I don't know when the bagel Meister started using fake eggs and premade bacon. But to charge $7.35 for a sandwich that is very comparable to McDonalds food and service is horrible. I understand prices on things have gone up and don't mind paying for quality food. I have come to this establishment since it opened and have seen it go further and further down in customer service and food quality. The ambiance is decent for a quick meet up, but even that is hit or miss as the table are not cleaned, the coffee/drink area is also messy and the bathrooms have the garbage cans filled to the point of over flow. Our go to place probably once a week for breakfast. My personal favorite is the sundried tomato but the cinnamon sugar is good as well. If you are looking for a new ice coffee the Meister Icer has a coconut flavor that is sweet and a nice change from my normal ice coffee I drink at home. read more

Directly off of exit 36 on Hwy 20 (chapel hill rd) it's easy access to park and place your order. Bagel Meister is not a drive up and order kind of service. Instead the offer plenty of parking and an array of food options for your pleasure. Today, I ordered as a first timer the garlic bagel with chive and onion cream cheese. While I am not a heavy meat eater they do have lox and bacon/sausage options as well. A tip, I will share: the cream cheese is good and the ingredients and portions are ample, but if you like light cream cheese be sure to ask for it up front! They spread it on kinda thick and I had to scrape about 1/2 off to keep from making a mess. But the texture of the bagel and cream cheese was a good combination. No complaints. Always see this place when I go get Starbucks in the morning and just had to try it out. Went with the SAUSAGE, EGG, AND CHEESE BAGEL. First off, bagel is toasted to perfection. Crunchy exterior and soft chewy interior. Not so toasted that it rips the skin off the roof of your mouth like at some places. Bagel is also really good and pairs perfect with the sausage, egg, and cheese. Other ingredients have proportions and each flavor comes through with each bite. Service is super friendly and excellent. Their coffee also was pretty good. Really appreciate that it's self serve and you don't have to wait for a black coffee like at other places (across the parking lot). Really pleasantly surprised with this place. Bought 12 bagels. 2smears veg and scallion. And 4 danish. The bagels were soft and doughy the seeds were only on the top. They were on the small side compared to the other bagel stores, but downsizing seems to be the trend. The danish were not good the dough was soggy. The cheese danish was gooey and had a strange taste. The cinnamon roll was doused in icing. The only danish that was good was the chocolate. The cream cheese smears were good with very fluffy whipped cream cheese. We are going to toast the bagels on the second try to see how that goes. I love a good bagel & breakfast sandwiches are part of my regular menu. When I first came to the Bagel Meister in Dville, my expectations were not overly high. I anticipated a decent little spot to sit and do some work with a good cup of a coffee and bagel with a schmear. It has exceeded those expectations! These bagels rival most NY delis I grew up going to, and the coffee is delicious! The staff is friendly and they know how to make a great breakfast sandwich (I'm sure lunch is equally amazing). I come here from time to time and my personal faves are the Lox & Egg on a salt bagel, and there is a jalepeno-inspired bagel sammie that's also really good. The coffee flavors include your normal house regular & decaf, with specials like Island Sunrise and Salted Caramel flavors. While you're sitting (I usually bring my laptop and stay for a bit), coffee refills are on the house. I'm out the door for about $10 with a 20% tip and it's such a treat to start the day that way. Highly recommend you stop in and grab a bite for breakfast or lunch if you're in the area-- and definitely skip the Starbuck's line that's caddy-corner to here-- the coffee here is better if you like a regular cup of coffee! read more

We visited Bagel Meister before we headed to Six Flags because it has such good reviews. My advice would be to stick to the plain bagels if you go here. I ordered the holy Jalapeño breakfast sandwich based on the cashiers recommendation and I was so disappointed. The bagel itself was good, and the sandwich was large. Everything on the sandwich was from the microwave though. Microwaved gross turkey sausage. It was bland. I bought three of them and two went uneaten, over $10 in the trash. We should have just gone to starbucks and gotten breakfast sandwiches for less. Lesson learned. The staff is nice, and the restaurant was clean that was about the only part I enjoyed. read more
