Stopped by Jeni's with my friends and it was the perfect after dinner sweet treat! The store is small but the ambiance is warm. Don't let the long lines scare you, they always get customers in and out! Even while letting us try multiple samples (my favorite)! The Gooey Butter Cake ice cream quickly became my go-to. Delicious dessert spot near the battery. You can sit inside, outside, or walk around the battery with your ice cream. I indulged in two different ice creams in a bowl. They have dairy free options which is nice! I love that they will have specials, like the goat cheese cherry one they are offering at the moment. The ice cream here is so creamy and delicious with lots of fun flavors to choose from. There was a long line when I went but it moved pretty quickly and the servers were helpful with giving samples as requested. The inside has some seating and a cute design overall. It's not my top favorite ice cream shop but it's definitely up there (and perfect as a post-concert or baseball game treat!) read more

I didn't know Jeni's had non-dairy flavors however they only have 2 flavors. A Texas Sheet Cake (chocolate) & Lemon Bar. I hope one day we can have at least 4 options to choose from. The Texas Sheet Cake was pretty good & didn't upset my stomach. It's a nice, clean store with a good amount of seating inside and some outside. The service was great and you get to sample however many flavors you'd like. read more

Excellent ice cream with wonderful delicious flavors. The Jeni's OG in a waffle cone could seriously be the best combination I've ever had. Located in The Battery in Atlanta expect a line out the door after a Braves game. They do have seating both inside/outside and after one ice cream you'll see that the wait was worth it. read more

I've seen this ice cream in the grocery store but never got it because it's expensive for a pint. Was so excited to find a storefront on a recent trip! It was so good I came twice. Tried 5 different flavors while I was in town and they were all great. The blackout chocolate was the best. Definitely worth the splurge at the grocery store! Staff here is really nice. They let you sample flavors and tell you about what's in them. They sell some cute merch too. Great location at the Battery, very walkable and nice area. read more

Jennys is always a great way to end a night! Right now the have an iced ginger bread and a sparkling cherry pie that are great together! This location is in the batterie area right on the main corner. There is always a line so be prepared, although they do a pretty good job of keeping it moving. This location you can actually eat inside! Jennys has some of the best flavors for sure... and like I said it is a great way to end a good day. read more

Service 5/5 !! Line was a bit long but I have patience and we waiting. And I was well deserve. Because the ice cream was so GOOD! The young lady explained every single flavor and I sample a few but my pick was a Standard waffle cone with Honey Vanilla bean & brown butter almond brittle. And it was the prefect duo. The Brown butter almond brittle was not sweet and you taste the brittle and almond in every bite. It's a good size portion of Ice cream as well. Waited in the line for a long time which is pretty normal based on how Jenny's designs their stores. Staff handling icecream and samples seemed to be in a bad mood and made you feel very rushed as you picked a flavor. Was disappointed at how small the portion of ice cream is given the cost. Customer service should be stronger given how long people are waiting and what we pay. read more

Overall 3.25 Stars - Stopped in at Jenni's at The Battery right before the Braves game and after eating at Antico's Pizza. Service - 3.25 Stars Most of the employees were pleasant and helpful but some were not due to major rush of people trying to get their order in before watching the Braves games. Some were flustered with the Amount of people traffic. The ice creams are unique and about 12 selections you can order from through they had other flavors that were specifically made as pints and were not vainly the "scoops" which was a bummer. Ice cream -3.25 - 3.5 stars Though having unusual fun names, the ice cream itself were just okay. Some of the flavors were lacking and waffles weren't as sweet as we had from other ice cream eateries. We ordered the following Ice cream: DARKEST CHOCOLATE 3.25 Stars Packed with Fair Trade cocoa and not much else. BRAMBLEBERRY CRISP 3.25 Stars Oven-toasted oat streusel and a sweet-tart brambleberry jam layered throughout vanilla ice cream. BROWN BUTTER ALMOND BRITTLE 3.5 Stars Brown butter almond candy crushed into buttercream ice cream. Coffee with Cream & Sugar 3 Stars NEBULA BERRY 3.5 Stars Tart like a blueberry and vibrant like a raspberry with an elderflower fragrance. Truly had a lovely first experience at Jeni's, which has some of the most unique flavors I've ever seen. The workers were all accommodating and gave us samples galore. In the end we chose four flavors, all of which were unique and delightful. My favorite was the lavender berry flavor, which I am sure I'll get again and again. Really nice floral notes, so if you're into that I recommend trying it. Their waffles are also made fresh in store, and the sampler comes with a waffle wedge. Our first time trying this place and I'd say it was definitely worth it. We played it safe on the flavors, going with things we're kind of familiar with or that sounded simple. I chose honey vanilla bean on a cone and I give it 5/5, 10/10 whatever. I was skeptical about the honey, and the vanilla bean because I don't usually like the taste of vanilla bean. This was a great combo. It wasn't too sweet and not too bland either. We also got the birthday cake just in a little bowl.. 10/10. We sampled it but once we got the scoops to my surprise there was actually chunks of cake inside. If you're looking for something sweet and different variety give it try I think you'll find something you like! If you had Jeni's before, then you know what to expect. My experience at Jeni's has been consistent across stores and states. Our go-to is the wildberry lavender. Lavender is an acquired taste to some as it can taste soapy or artificial, but Jeni's has perfected the flavor. read more

This is the first time eating ice cream from here. It was good I just am used to other types I think the whole deal with this place is I think it's sort of organic meaning grass feed dairy. Sorry but I am not to sure. The staff were very nice though and they did have free water to go along with your cold ice cream. They stayed open late which was good about midnight. Their menu is simple when you walk in the smell of waffle cone fills the air. Parking is available. And the inside is pretty open if you had a disability. I was not able to check out the bathroom. read more

We visited the location at the Battery. Lots of great flavors, some unexpected. The service was friendly and prompt. The only downside is that there isn't a lot of seating. If you plan to stroll through the battery as you enjoy your ice cream this isn't an issue but it was cold outside and they had a large group with many energetic children inside and it made it rather hard to enjoy. read more

I wasn't sure if I wanted to stand in the long line but then I figured if people were willing to wait in 90 degree heat it must be pretty good. Very unique flavors that did not disappoint. The buttermilk rainbow sherbet was really good but the boomastix sundae cone is what I'd go back for time and time again. New location in the Battery! And just like all the other locations, it's good. The flavors seem to be the same throughout all of Jeni's stores so it's not really any different. There is a little bit of a shortage on seating at this location, but there is seating. Usually inside it's freezing cold, so depending on the type of day it may be good or bad. Overall, nothing different at this location compared to others. Jeni's is great as far as ice cream, and I would always recommend if you have never tried it before. Frose and Wildberry Lavender are my favorites. read more

I've found my favorite ice cream at Jeni's. I hadn't experienced their product before my first visit to the shop and now I can say I'm a huge fan of what they have going on. Even though the lines were long each time we got through them relatively quickly...and even if we hadn't it would have been worth the wait. I've seen Jeni's ice cream every now and then at the grocery store, so it was awesome to go to an actual flagship store. The store itself is incredibly aesthetic and clean, and I was impressed by the employees making the waffle cones and bowls by scratch. The employees were super nice, provided excellent customer service, and I was able to sample some novelty flavors. I ended up getting the dairy free Texas Sheet Cake and Lavender Berry flavors in a waffle bowl. My boyfriend got the Lemon Bar flavor. The Texas Sheet cake was delicious, and I appreciated the variety of non dairy flavors as someone who is lactose intolerant. The Lavender Berry was refreshing, and was more berry than lavender, but I didn't mind. My boyfriend's Lemon Bar ice cream was yummy as well. We did chose to sit inside, and everything was neat and tidy. I would highly recommend this location if you're in the area! read more

Poor management, New Year's Day and only two employees working. Line was long and no sense of urgency. Though after hours of no help I can understand why someone would feel run down. That does not excuse the lack of gloves or hand washing when moving from the register. It's ice cream of course it's going to be good. The lack of cleanliness ruined it for me. We came on a Friday night, so the line was out the door. Once you enter, the smell is very sweet and evident. They have a lot of classic flavors and some are only available as a pint ($12). We brought some back to share with the family. The atmosphere is great. There's a giant chalkboard in the back to play with. read more

Great location to grab ice cream at the battery! I parked in the green deck and it was a very short walk! Parking was free for 0-3 hrs on the day I went there in the past I've seen it as 0-2. The service was friendly and fast. Truly the best ice cream around! They have a lot more seating in this location than I've seen at other Jeni's- they had inside tables and outside tables. Friday Urban Picnics is run by the Atlanta Street Food Coalition, and held every last Friday of the month from March to October, 11-2pm. Location is the back of Sweet Auburn Curb Market. At today's picnic, I arrived around 11:45 and lucked out with finding a parking spot. Lines were very short too - but that all changed after 12. Good Food Truck and Yumbii were probably the most popular. Westside Creamery, The Pop Shop (or maybe it was The Pop Stop), and Black Tie BBQ were there, too. I think almost all items were under $10. Today I had Good Food's $5 Poodle which was to die for: French Toast hot dog bun, beef dog, apple maple slaw, ... and then they strongly encourage you to add maple syrup and spicy mustard. Whoa that was really yummy - messy to eat though and I had sticky fingers afterwards from the maple syrup but no complaints from me :) Next time I'm trying one of their savory cones filled w/ all kinds of goodies! The Indian rice crispy treat sounded intriguing, too (curry, coconut, and candied fennel seeds)! For dessert I had a $3 generous scoop of Westside Creamery's bourbon & bacon ice cream. Just a hint of bourbon flavor and surprisingly thick pieces of bacon throughout - honestly I was expecting bacon-infused flavor but my bad for expecting anything else but the real thing!! They had some great flavors to choose but I went with bourbon & bacon since the Westside guy said it was his favorite. I've already marked my calendar to make a field trip to the next several picnics b/c there are too many new things to try! Some tips: Bring cash. If you're lucky enough to find parking in the Sweet Auburn parking lot, it's free w/ validation - look for the table outside that validates tickets. Otherwise make a purchase inside to get parking validation. When I was driving back to work, I also found free parking available under the interstate - free for the first 90 minutes.

The space is pretty tight, and you're going to be close to the tables near you, but we were able to sit comfortably. Our server came over quickly to take our drink orders, and afterward she came back to answer any questions. Most of the food was ready at the same time. We appreciated that it came out as it was ready and wasn't left sitting. And everyone enjoyed the food! The only "complaint" one of my friends had was that she thought there was a little too much sauce in her shrimp and grits dish. She felt that the sauce, while it tasted great, overpowered the dish and she would've liked to taste more of the grits flavor. All in all, I'd say we'll likely be back to try something else on the menu.
