The night we came to pick it up, there was a line out the door with just one guy behind the counter. He recognized my wife and didn't make her wait for 30 minutes to serve everyone else. I have been a fan of the Cold Stone Creamery brand for a long time - NYC, NC, FL... and this Edmond location was okay for a while, but they have a new woman working there who is not a great brand representative... She keeps leaving a big portion of the mixed ingredients on the cold slab and claims she made too much and refuses to add it to the cup she's making - she should just stuff it in the container or, like other team members have done - give it to the customer in a separate little cup - It's just going to get thrown away if they don't do that... and it's not cheap! I watched her do this to 3 customers and then it was my turn... Ice cream is supposed to be fun and generous... If I ever go back and she's the one serving, I will not place an order. read more

I don't know what is going on but the serving sizes have severely gone down. I have been going to this cold stone for over 10 years so I know how to eyeball the scoops and I can tell when I am being shorted. When I tried to let her know that the scoop wasn't going to be enough for the cup she said that's all I can do we aren't allow to fill the cup....Say what? I'm already paying more than I should but to now say u can't fill the cup??? This is horrible. We ordered an Ice Cream cake for my birthday. They had a nice selection and some options that weren't just chocolate. I ordered a Strawberry Sundae Cake. They had in made in less than a day and it was amazing. Moist, yummy cake and amazing ice cream. The whole family enjoyed it. Cold Stone is fantastic! Myself, my husband, and our friends have been going to this Cold Stone since college and we have never been disappointed! I always go to my usual. I get the cheesecake ice cream and typically add in graham crackers...as if I was eating a real cheesecake! I love it every.single.time! Although this indoor location is small, there's plenty of outdoor seating! I'm also always impressed at the speed and accuracy of the workers! They're always welcoming and get my order quickly and correctly. I always love a place that can do great at a good tempo! How the hell do you mess up ice cream?! I told the guy I wanted a Birthday Remix in a cup - pointing to the waffle cups, he asks me what size and I confused say "uh small I guess" as I assumed it was one size but hey, I've been to Cold Stone like once before so who was I to be a know it all?! He shoved a huge spoon of brownie into the middle of my ice cream and chopped away to the point it was nothing but a gross concoction of chocolate. NOT what I wanted. Trying not to complain and just go with the flow, I took the small cup inside of a larger cup (uh okay..) and I knew then it wasn't going to be good. It was a sloppy mess. I tried to find ONE bite without chunks of brownie that wasn't black from the chocolate mess it became and finally after dumping out half of it I found a couple bites of cake batter ice cream. Literally 2. I was disgusted after the next bite and called it quits tossing my last napkin into the small cup (the larger cup that the guy put it in became my trash can from dumping what I wasn't interested in along with napkins from me cleaning up this sloppy mess). ZERO customer service. Nobody gave two sh#%s that there was a line of customers- 2 employees behind counter. One just wanting to make waffles and not help the other with customers. Then the gentleman in front of me asked if the server could wash his hands prior to making his dish (as we witnessed was never done in between customers while waiting) and the server shook his head and said "ok so what do you want" this customer ended up walking out the same time I did. This place is great. There were two workers when I went for a late night snack and they were both as peppy as can be. They offered to let us try any type of ice cream and played it off like it was no big deal. You could instantly tell that they possessed excellent customer service skills. I didn't know what exactly I wanted so I asked for suggestions and counter girl helped me select a treat that was absolutely delicious. I don't think you can go wrong with ice cream. Went in looking to buy an ice cream cake for the first time in years and in fact this was my first trip to Cold Stone Creamery ever. I thought the prices were a bit high, but after taking that first bite of the ice cream cake which was for my birthday the price was no longer a factor for me; it was that good! I got to pick out even facet of the cake right down to the color of the writing on the top to the items added to the ice cream itself. I was even able to pick different flavors for each lair. I also agree with others that the staff was very friendly and accommodating and let me sample different flavors so I knew just want I wanted. This particular Coldstone rocks. This place carries dark chocolate ice cream year round. Other locations only have it during the winter months. They listen to their customers and carry the flavors that people want. They also have a friendly staff. Coldstone is one of my favorite places to get ice cream in Edmond/Okc. The prices are a little higher than other places, but you get what you pay for. I'll take coldstones premium ice cream any day of the week over their competition. They have a nice patio lounge area with table and chairs. It's fun to get a table outside in the summer and fall evenings and enjoy some great ice team. They have a lot of candies to can have mixed in with your ice team. If you aren't sure about what to mix in, they have some of their signature creations they are tested and proven to be a good mix. My favorite is Birthday Cake Remix: cake batter ice cream, brownie, sprinkles, and chocolate fudge. I highly recommend this Coldstone! read more

Beware if you are planning to use the "local ad mag" coupon stating that you buy a "creation" item and you will get your second item in a waffle bowl or cone for free. We live over 20 min away but thought that sounded like a good deal. It is very misleading as we did exactly as the coupon spelled out plus we ordered an extra creation since there were 3 of us. When the total seemed to be quite a bit more than expected we checked the receipt. We were charged for all 3 items. Went back to cashier and asked about it. She wasn't sure so she checked with the other personnel that was working and she said "yes you did get your free item"! After inquiring further, we found that the waffle cone itself was the only free item. We still paid almost $5 for the ice cream in the cone! This statement however is not long enough to be considered a review so more info must be given but I can't give more info because years ago I tried Sweet Cream and since that day if I am at a Cold Stone it's all I get.
