There is only one table and a family was sitting at it, so I got comfortable on a nearby bench to enjoy Silk almond milk chocolate dessert.

I don't know why I'm so out of the loop with what's going on in Lincoln Park, but just like a restaurant across the street from here, I have NEVER heard of this place. I used to hang out in this area for three years straight for dance class and grad school and just totally overlooked it. It was founded in 1988, and I have no clue when it came to Chicago though so maybe I didn't. I just had a sweet tooth after leaving Blue Sushi across the street (and didn't realize they had a dessert menu). I could not care less about cake, donuts or pie, but I can demolish ice cream and/or candy like nobody's business. The problem is, as a second-round vegan, it's tough for me to find nondairy desserts. I poked my head in here 99.9% sure they were going to say everything was dairy. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they had a new Silk chocolate almond milk ice cream. I wish I caught the lady's name that was there today because she was so bubbly and friendly. When I stared at her in confusion after she asked me did I want "Like it, Love It or Gotta Have It," I realized this order was about to be involved. I like the way that the employees mix your toppings around in the ice cream instead of dumping them on top where you end up eating them way too fast. A family member stopped to take my pic while I tasted a spoonful, and I guess I looked extra happy because I caught the lady behind the counter smile as big as I did. Happiness is contagious. Anyway, love the place. Love my almond milk frozen dessert. There's only one table to sit at and someone was there, so I flopped down on a nearby bench and enjoyed my birthday sweet!

Worst employees ever. The one with her face covered in pimple patches creates a biohazard. She is short and sickly with a dark hyper-pigmented complexion. She stood over the ice cream mixing station picking at her pimple patches for over an hour before she cancelled my order. I had to re order and drive downtown to pick up coldstone for a birthday party. Horrible service.

The best ice cream in the area, with such a wonderful staff that excels in making an ice cream to your hearts content!! If you want to create something Limited Edition, with ingredients of your choice to be devoured on a hot day; or shared amongst your friends. Why settle for something bland, when you could have a very sweet, savory, and exquisite treat!! And the owner, whoever he is was a delight in these tough times

I love that you can create your own ice cream or shake! They have the basic flavors plus a little more. But, you can mix it all up with endless possibilities! They have so many yummy topics that it's almost hard to pass up! I'm glad they don't weight the ice cream with toppings (like fro-yo places). The place was quite small and tight with, I believe, just 2-3 tables. There were 2 employees. Every time we have gone (2 times to be exact), we have been satisfied but suffered brain freeze.

Great ice cream, and better service from the wonderful kids working! Will definitely revisit again

Was craving some ice cream so stopped by for some dessert. Oreo overload is delicious if you love cookies and cream. The portion is pretty big so I usually get a small. Sometimes the long can get long due to the lack of employees. Seems to be the case for every cold stone places I've been to.

I thought I would love this place but unfortunately they had no air conditioner on and the ice creams were already melting while we were buying and I orders cheese ice cream and it taste like yogurt they are reasonable but not worth it I might not come back, they were clean but not wearing gloves while serving the customers

    Too many choices

I've never ordered one of their signature ice creams (with 3 mix ins) because they're so expensive. But we were celebrating so I gave the summer cheesecake a try. This is a waffle cone with cheesecake ice cream, gram cracker crust , strawberries and blueberries. The flavor was great l, but for $6, I can go to a truly boutique ice cream shop like Jeni's and get three mini scoops of fresh made ice cream with better ingredients. Also, the strawberries and blueberries weren't fresh. They had that awful syrup on them. I do like cold stone for the experience of watching them mix in your ice cream, but I just can't justify the cost.

Birthday cake with my added toppings.. Nothing but ice cycles!

A real blessing to the Chicago gluten-free food scene. Previously, I had only tried items stocked at Whole Foods. I've now tried SO many of their goodies directly from their bakery, local cafés, and retailers. No matter where I've purchased their goodies from, the items are always fresh. I've never purchased a stale item. It always amazes me that despite their large selection, they are able to maintain freshness of all of their items. It's hard to pick favorites, but some of my favorite items are the brownies, with the Cosmic Brownie being my number one. It's so rich and fudgy, and everyone I've had taste it has had the same wide-eyed reaction. It's amazing. The cookies are phenomenal. I love the standard chocolate chip cookies. Also, the oatmeal peanut chocolate chip cookies are seriously addictive and a favorite of mine. They're crispy on the edges with the perfect chew, have actual whole peanuts in the batter, and the perfect peanut butter flavor. The cookie sandwiches are one of my top choices and a must-try! The chocolate chip with peanut butter buttercream is amazing, as is the peanut butter s'mores. I also love everything lemon from here. The lemon mini loaves and the lemon poppy seed loaf slice are absolutely perfect. Some of the other items I've really enjoyed are the pecan blondie, magic bar, peanut butter bar, cupcakes, whoopie pie, cake pops, cinnamon crumb cake, Pucks of Love (which reminds me of MOD Pizza's No Name Cake, which I love), and the Earl Grey mini loaf. The cake slices of the week are always a great pick too. They always have fun and delicious combinations, and they always keep me wanting to pop in and try the latest one. I know there are two types of people: people who LOVE sugar and prefer a thick, sweet buttercream, and people who scrape off the frosting and only eat the cake. Their frosting is definitely for the sugar lovers out there--I personally love it! Don't snooze on Defloured. Give it a try--you won't be disappointed.

Banana Pudding Bundt Cake made with Nilla: Nothing Bundt Cakes (NBC) Banana Pudding Bundt Cake was…read morefirst introduced in 2025, but its limited run from 2/16-4/12/26 was my first tasting. Opening the container, the cake itself had a yellow/golden color and a mild vanilla aroma. The official description is "a delectably comforting banana cake, baked with real banana puree, made with real Mini Nilla Wafers and drizzled with vanilla pudding" (and of course their delicious, sweet cream cheese frosting). As usual, the texture is superb, with one of the best aspects of their cakes being the exceptional moistness of them. In this case, I think the pudding and possibly banana puree contributes to the moistness factor as this seemed moister than usual (in a good way). This is where things get a little perplexing. The name "Banana Pudding" makes me think that the pudding would be banana flavored, but according to the description, the pudding is vanilla and the batter is what's made with bananas. My taste buds only got a vanilla flavor from both the pudding and the cake though (zero banana). There was a fair amount of vanilla pudding in the center, but both the pudding drizzled on the exterior and in the center is difficult to see with the naked eye. The Nilla Wafers were crisp, but soft. I can't really hold this against NBC because unless eaten immediately after prep it's almost impossible to keep them crisp. It's also important to note that the wafers were baked throughout the cake and not just the conspicuous one decorating the summit. Unfortunately, the Nilla Wafers do not really contribute anything as the overall flavor is already vanilla and the soft texture gets lost within the moistness of the cake. This one is tough because it was a phenomenal vanilla pudding bundt cake, but it's a terrible banana cake. They really should be calling it Vanilla Pudding Bundt Cake made with Nilla. Doughboy approved as a vanilla pudding cake, avoid if you're hoping for bananas. Doughboy_Food_Reviews My top bundt cakes: 1. OREO 2. Biscoff Cookie Butter 3. Confetti 4. Churro Dulce de Leche 5.
