If you are gluten free (or not), this is a must-visit bakery. The variety of baked goodies is incredible with lots of fun flavor combinations. Cookies, bars, cake pops, and more. We were most impressed by the fluffy consistency of the cake pops. The bars were rich and fun. The lemon poppy seed loaf was super lemony and again, the consistency was fantastic. They also offer nut-free and vegan options and staff is very mindful of any dietary restrictions. I would definitely return next time I'm in town!

As part of planning our friends' baby shower, finding a gluten free bakery was a must. Thankfully, one of them had stumbled upon Defloured when exploring Andersonville. We filled out a thorough form and reached out to their team a couple of months before the shower. Kelly emailed us back confirming our vision and what they could do for us and everything was confirmed within days. Fast forward to our delivery day, we were contacted via text with an estimated delivery time and not only were they on time, they gave us pro tips to ensure our baked goods remained fresh for our guests later that day. I think the photos speak for themselves, but the Defloured team did a beautiful job with our themed cake and their cookie and bar tray was also delicious. Equally as important, our guests with celiac raved about their experience consuming them.

My friend ordered from here for a girls game night. It is a gluten free bakery! The treats were delicious! We had snickerdoodle cookies, brownies and cake pops. The cookies were so soft and very tasty! Can't wait to try more items.

Defloured is a GF bakery that offers cakes, bars, cupcakes, cookies, sandwich cookies, whoopie pies, scones, breads, cake pops, bundts, cream puffs, and event bake-at-home chicken pot pies. I tried their Raspberry Bar, and it was pretty good - there was a food ratio of the crunch and the raspberry filling. This was refrigerated, so it was a little hard - not sure if one could 'thaw' it out or warm it up a bit, which I'm sure it would have been better. Very easy to place orders - they only request that it's made in about 7-10 days in advance. Friendly service! +GF bakery +tasty raspberry bars

Stopped by to pick up a birthday treat for a bestie of mine that is gluten free. There is absolutely a reason for this establishment to have the well known reputation in the city for serving and baking some of the best gluten and vegan desserts around. Prepare to wait rain or shine outside of the bakery, they will come and personally take your order. Pick your items from the window, full cake options available upon request. We picked a carrot cake and also took a small box of baked goods for a snack! Tried the chocolate zucchini Bundt cake. Oh my word, moist and truly decadent. Whether you are gluten free or not, everyone MUST try defloured!

Do they have dairy free cakes?

They do offer some products that are dairy free. Not all, but some. If you look on their website under "goodies", you can see which ones are also dairy free.

I didn't love the graham cracker because it had a strong buttery taste, but I get that it's needed to hold it together. Without that, it would've been a 9/10. The cheesecake topping tasted almost like custard and paired well with the blueberry cupcake base. Chocolate sea salt caramel... 10/10. This might actually be one of the best cupcakes I've ever had. Rich chocolate cake, caramel sauce in the middle, buttercream that wasn't too sweet, and the salt on top tied everything together perfectly. Peach cobbler was insane. 1000/10. It tasted like pumpkin pie and apple pie combined, probably from all the cinnamon. Not overly sweet, super light cream, and just perfection. Definitely worth the hype. The chocolate sea salt caramel and peach cobbler might actually be the best cupcakes I've ever had.

I've been a customer of almost 10 years and have been obsessed since they first opened their doors at a different location. I literally live an hour away without traffic and even longer with traffic, but I make sure to stop by or send someone else to get it for me at least once a month or more. I love the amazing cakes that are so delicious and unique but on top of that, it is Asian owned, LGBTQ supporting, etc. A lot has changed since their little storefront with no seating. The bakery is now a full on cafe and I'm so happy to see how much they've grown and how successful they are. And while it is glorious, I will say I miss the sweet neighborhood charm and great customer service it used to have. Getting in touch with the bakery through phone or text can be tough and to be honest, sometimes one of the people working there is kind of...very mean. It had me questioning if I should keep coming back. I just love this bakery so much though and being raised by parents that had a small food business, I can't help but want to support. I had a particularly difficult last minute request for the bakery a few weeks ago and I was reminded why this place is so great. It had been YEARS since I made this specific request, which was an order for a slice of cake for every flavor and a cupcake for every flavor. This is a BIG and time consuming request, especially if it's last minute. Unfortunately I come to the city whenever the traffic isn't atrocious, so it's always last minute. Dom absolutely pulled through though. Even though there were other employees there (I saw two others but one disappeared and then another male was kind of walking around the cafe and such), Dom took this giant request and fulfilled it himself. The other gentleman (not the mean person previously mentioned) was actually who I made the request to, but he told Dom to do it. I was kind of confused why they didn't do it together but idk, maybe the other guy isn't allowed to handle food? Who knows. Regardless, this request obviously took a long time and the line was getting longer; people were getting a little restless but Dom stayed calm but was swift. I swear he was moving faster than most people in the industry could with a cake knife like that. He was not impatient or rude to me at all. He was just there to do his job as fast and well as possible. It's so rare to see that type of work ethic. He is also so obviously proud of the bakery and the food they serve which makes you feel good about being a patron there. So although I continue to have an unpleasant experience with one particular employee there, Dom keeps my love for this bakery alive. He reminds me of what this bakery was like when they first opened their doors. I hope Dom is cherished there and I bet he is considering his work ethic. I will continue to support this bakery and I recommend everyone else to support as well. It may not be that small little shop anymore but Dom is a reminder of the heart of the place.

But when you combine it with the coffee cake, the bitter coffee flavor along with the dense cake helps take down the buttercream sweetness and cooked sugar aftertaste. Carrot cake: The carrot cake is moist and sweet. I love the no nuts rules. It's how I prefer my carrot cake. The only minus is way too much ginger. The cream cheese frosting is light and airy and is not too sweet. I love the added caramelized pecans on top. All together it's a great combo but way too much spied seasonings. What we got: Quiche (the daily was a sausage and broccoli) - I don't think I have ever had a quiche this style before. It was so so good. Huge portion that can easily split between two people. I chose a blueberry scone and a cheddar and onion scone. I was a tiny bit disappointed they didn't have the lemon scone I saw in their online order page, but the fruity blueberry option fit the bill. I also ordered a cappuccino to go. Service was good, and I really appreciated being asked if I wanted separate bags for the scones, which ensured the blueberry scone didn't pick up any oniony smell or flavor from the other scone. The scones were excellent! Massive in size, they had a nice tender and crumbly texture, as well as plenty of fillings (so to speak). The cappuccino was fine, not as smooth as I like, but the terrific scones made it well worth the trip. The space is well laid out with multiple tables. None were taken at the time, as people were getting to go orders instead. I thought prices were reasonable: each scone was $5, which seemed fair given how large and high quality they were (not to mention the higher prices I'm seeing in some newer bakeries in the area). Other offerings looked good, too, but this is definitely the place to go if you're craving scones.
