I've been waiting my whole life to try cold stone creamery. I finally got the chance to visit this location while out and about in Greensburg. While service was fast, I can't say the whole experience was really worth the trip, or price. I brought my daughter along for ice cream on a Monday afternoon. I have seen that they make the ice cream right in front of you. Imagine ice cream hibachi! That sounds fun and exciting but due to all the mix ins and such, you can't even see the mixing happen. Which is definitely disappointing because the "experience" must be what your paying. The serving sizes are definitely lacking for the price. 14$ got us two scoops of ice cream, meaning one small scoop each... My daughter got the magically delicious lucky charms ice cream. She said it tasted okay but it definitely did not look like the picture. It was mixed with whipped cream (which is shown on top in the photo) and it made it seem melted. I got the chocolate brownie which was okay too, but honesty everything tasted the same. I couldn't really differentiate between the brownie bites, chocolate chips and the chocolate ice cream other than it being different textures. I really just don't see the hype. All in all, the lady behind the counter was great but I don't think we will be back again. read more

@ Cold Stone Creamery, their gimmick is that you can pick your flavor and then pick any type of "mixins" you'd like to have "mixed in to" your ice cream. They get a big 'ol scoop and throw it on a cold slab and then mix in bits of cookies, candy bars, traditional toppings, etc. Whatever you want out of their selection. 3 sizes: "Like It" (sm), "Love It" (med) and "Gotta Have It" (Lrg) PROS: Truly customizable; Sooooo many flavors to choose from; Many of the flavors are unique; All are delicious; The staff is friendly. CONS: Pricey, for ice cream; The staff, although friendly, must hate their job... they have to do these "cheers" @ random intervals for the guests in the store... very humiliating for them, I'm sure! :( Because of the nature of their gimmick, if its busy... it can take forever to get your ice cream, pay and get the heck out of the way for the next guy. Cold Stone offers pretty good ice-cream, however the prices are way too high. The selections are great, mix-ins variety is a nice addition, and their milkshakes will rock your socks off. However I can't go here as often as I'd like to because its just too expensive. When you go, unless you order the largest size, they will always try to get you to spend more. It is very clean in there but I wish there was more seating. The limited seating almost makes it feels awkward to stay and eat in there. If you tip them, they will sing. Some enjoy that... and some you can tell absolutely hate it. Parking lot can get busy during the day with Starbucks next store, but there is typically enough parking. read more

Ohhh myy Cold Stone. That's all I need to say, but do not worry I will say more. First off, I love this place because the staff always seem like they are happy, and they always ask if you want to sample anything. I know that I always try at lease a few different kinds before deciding, and they never seem to mind it. The place has a big selection of pre-made concoctions that you can choose from, but I always make my own. You can add in as many candies, chocolates, and fruits that you want. WARNING: It can get a little pricey once you start getting add-in-crazy. I usually go in there and expect to pay about 7 bucks for my ice cream. I do love the idea of getting to see the ice cream made right in front of me, but I wish that for the 75 cents per add-in (or whatever they charge) that they would give you a little more. In California this summer, I went to these places where you got to add your own amount, and I got more toppings and ice cream for the same price. However, a 7 dollar ice cream every now and then never hurt anybody. I love Cold Stone, and if you are willing to pay some dough to get some good ice cream, It is worth it. read more

Very pleasant staff, some are pretty generous with portions! Delicious ice cream and "mix-ins." A little pricey compared to, say, Dairy Queen but can be a nice splurge if you're up to it. Location is a little cumbersome, being attached to a Starbucks, and trying to turn back into the alley to leave is poorly designed, though not the fault of the restaurant I'm sure. Loved my experience there! They only had two people working, but it was a Tuesday night and who really goes out for ice cream on a Tuesday? Well, I did and it was the best Tuesday night ever. So it took a little longer than most ice cream places, but the two people working there were younger, college kids I think, and they were awesome! After tipping them they broke out into a Blame It (Jamie Foxx) parody about waffle cones! I'll definitely be back! read more
