I was a lifelong cold stone fan, but now am one no longer. I went through the cold stone drive through and ordered a kid size and a small (I.e. "like it"). In the picture you can see both. The Icecream was $11. Also, the drive through person looked me in the eye and asked if I wanted to give a tip, which was awkward. This amount of Icecream + a tip is not worth it. I've only been to the drive-thru here. There is some outdoor seating but it's right next to the drive-thru speaker. Their ice cream quality is consistently good. We've had reasonable experiences in-store but good luck with delivery orders. It's a roll of the dice as to whether you'll get correctly-sized items, any bowls or cones you added on, or half of your order at all (most recent experience). If you must order delivery from this place, skip the company site and order through Doordash directly. And hope for the best. Doordash can only request re-deliveries when they're a third-party delivery service for a restaurant. Since this store apparently has a phone that's never answered (Doordash customer rep and I both tried repeatedly, at an off-peak time of day), that's not going to happen. At least DD can issue a refund/credit when ordered through them. read more

I'm writing this review as someone who typically does not publicly complain. However, my husband placed an order well in advance for a birthday cake. Was told it could be picked up on Saturday the 3rd. Went in to pick it up was told it was lost. They attempted to satisfy us with something that was not what we had ordered. Also did not immediately refund us. The manager was not in the building, we returned home and called. Left a voice message and never received a call back. However, did receive an email stating we had been refunded. So, not only did we not have a cake for the birthday in this house! We can't even get customer service. Did not receive, I'm sorry this happened, this is what transpired and this is what we are going to do to help you choose to come back. This is one of the most poorly run businesses I have ever been to - at least with respect to the drive thru. The kids working are always rude even from the greeting. They are out of flavors and toppings pretty consistently and the orders are always a complete mess in the bag with ice cream all over the containers. And then when you pay w a credit card they wait to see if you tip them before you even get your order. So it's kind of risky if you don't give them anything. I don't really like tipping in general before you get the product, it's just seems crazy. I brought most of this to the Cold Stone websites attention once and spoke to the owner who was very nice, but I never noticed a change. You just can't go wrong with ice cream. Especially when they mix in your toppings instead of just pile them on. I got the Birthday Cake Remix, SO SO good. So not good for you, but YOLO... right? If there is a line it can end up taking awhile as the workers here mix in the toppings by hand. I love that they have also started to include fruit smoothies and frozen yogurt options if you were in the mood for a bit more of a healthy treat. My 3 year old actually chose Raspberry Yogurt instead of ice cream (but I think she just picked it because it was pink!) I have never in my life experienced the top notch customer service that I received at the Cold Stone Creamery in Lake St Louis. The employees were so nice, and so understanding. I would trust any single employee of this location to hold my drink. I was completely blown away by their kindness and integrity. They were so loving, caring, and gentle. Even though they may have gotten my order wrong, the customer service more than made up for it. I would like to think that they simply knew what was best for me and were doing me a great service in choosing my order for me. Came the first time and was told my gift card didn't work. I told her to try again because I was sure it worked. She did. It still didn't work. She unplugged the card reader and plugged it back in... still did not work. She said she couldn't accept it because it wasn't reading. She also told me she wanted to replace my order free of charge. this impressed me and definitely got my return business. About a month later my boyfriend and I went back and explained what happened. The employees happily remade our same order. No hassles. Now for the flavor.... he got peanut butter perfection and I got strawberry blondie. DELICIOUS! I went in and was instantly greeted by this young lady with the red hair and a nose piercing. Since i have never been there, I asked for recommendations, and she gave me what she thought was best and helped me through some of my allergy problems and let me try certain ice creams. I was horrified with this establishment. I went in on a Monday night, around 8:45, and this had more flys than a barn in Tallahassee. All the tables were gross and had ice cream smears.
