I just heard of this place last week and never seen it nor heard of it before, location is different and easy to get to the location once you know where it's at. Regardless, this is one of the best Mexican restaurants I've been to in the St. Louis area and strongly encourage everyone to give this place a try. FANTASTIC FOOD!!!

Super friendly & quick. Great tacos- I really liked the pineapple salsa on the pastor tacos. It's my own fault for not looking at the menu first, but I was a little surprised at the price, $16 for 4 small street tacos. But they were good and I enjoy supporting small businesses.

Summary: Terrific Mexican fare and daily specials in a hidden spot BELOW Highway N. It's a bit of a challenge to get to this place next to a gas station at Highway N and Technology Drive, but make the effort. Taco Tuesday street tacos are the way to go: flavorful meat and veggies in a fresh soft corn tortilla for $1.99 each. Such a meal, such a deal! Best choice: pastor (pork). Friendly service.

Located in the same parking lot as ZX gas these tacos are the real deal street tacos. I consider myself a taco snob and these are as good as it gets. Two soft shell corn tortillas, a protein, onion, and cilantro are the only ingredients in a real deal street taco. They have a great special of twelve tacos, rice, beans, tortilla chips, salsa, and queso for $35 and it fed our family of four. The beans are the best you'll find north of the Rio Grande and bonus, bonus, bonus, they offer taco de lengua (tongue) that are absolutely delicious. You won't find better street tacos in the St Louis area, the restaurants on Cherokee Street aren't even a close second to these guys.

Enjoying Street Tacos! Authentic! So good! Salsa Verde delicious. Best salsa compared to others! Wonderful service, smiles, and, clean! Haven't tried the cakes yet, but we will next Tuesday!

    Quesabirria tacos

We went on a Thursday afternoon and we were the only ones in the restaurant. Unfortunately they didn't have any Agua fresca which was disappointing We ordered a carne asada entree plate, quesabirria tacos, and the "Thursday special" which was 3 soft shell ground beef tacos. Pros: -Our waitress was nice and efficient -The quesabirria tacos were great! Great flavor to them although smaller than what I'm used to. Cons: -the carne asada was extremely tough, it was hard to cut and hard to chew. We ended up eating everything else and not the meat which was disappointing. -the soft tacos didn't have much flavor to them Overall I'd come back to try different items as they seem to have good ratings

When you enter there's a seating area of booths to the left. If you continue further there's another little space of seats, a full L shaped bar, and more seating in the bar area as well as an outside patio with seating. I definitely recommend coming before dinner time. If you come for dinner be prepared to wait. If you want to eat here with a large party I recommend asking about a reservation otherwise I'd advise against due to how busy it gets! I'm not a fav of the chips & salsa as the salsa isn't flavorful or chunky enough to me. For those like myself who prefer spice & more flavor I recommend getting their salsa picante & mixing the 2, so much better! Their margaritas are good, I prefer the blood orange vest but they have a large selection of marg flavors and a full bar. For food I've had the nachos, tamales, enchiladas (I recommend the enchiladas de pollo verdes), tacos, and chimichanga. I got my parents hooked on the tamales! I love that they serve them as not a lot of Mexican restaurants do here & I love that they put meat both inside and on top of them. The establishment is always clean, the staff is always friendly & welcoming, and you can tell theirs homemade recipes coming out of the kitchen. I recommend ending your meal with the churros! Overall their price point, staff efficiency, and the consistency with the food makes this the best Mexican restaurant I've had in the area which is why I keep coming back & would bring guests here.

They have a big parking lot and it was still rather busy on this Tuesday evening of my visit. It's a casual atmosphere and there were plenty of open seats when I visited. We decided to sit at the bar and we were immediately greeted and offered chips & salsa and they were ready for our drink order. I chose the fresh squeezed Cadillac margarita. It was very good and refreshing. We were brought chips and salsa that were better than average. My dining companion ordered other kinds of salsa that were quite spicy, and I liked it mixed with the regular salsa. I ordered the cheese tamale plate that came with three large cheese tamales, fluffy rice, a small lettuce and tomato mound, and vegetarian pinto beans that were quite tasty. The highlight of this visit was the staff. Five stars! They know how to treat customers well.

However, an incident happened recently that has now complicated my love for them. I ordered two burritos for delivery recently and one ended up being wrong. It was supposed to be a Burrito Americano with shredded chicken, something I've had before. What came had ground beef and no red sauce, so I figured it was an entirely different burrito and called to let them know mine might have been swapped with someone else's. I understood that there was a good chance it wasn't getting replaced because I couldn't drive up to get another one, and yes that ended up being the case, but what got me was the guy on the phone said "oh sorry, on our tablets where we receive orders, we couldn't see that you made a meat selection so we just chose one." I confirmed that wasn't the case on my end. So one, that's crazy. Two, we've ordered from them before and that hasn't been a problem. Three, if that's true, how am I supposed to trust that I'll ever get what I ordered? So I don't know if they're not taking responsibility for their mix up for if they have a new system that's going to cause a lot of issues. But either way, I'm not thrilled and I'm probably done with them.

Located just a few minutes from the heart of O'Fallon Missouri, Dos Primos provides exactly what you expect from a Mexican restaurant? Great food, reasonable prices and a pleasant experience. We visited on a Saturday night during the dinner rush and was able to be seated rather quickly. Dos Primos does have a large dining area that can accommodate large groups as well as intimate seating for anyone with small parties. Upon seating, our server was quickly to take our drink order and provide fresh hot chips and salsa, while reviewed the menu to see what experience we were going to try. Does Primos has the classic traditional fanfare that you would see at most Mexican restaurants however, it was pleasantly noticeable, the authentic decorations that were carefully placed throughout the restaurant that gave it a Pleasant visual experience. We decided to try the enchiladas Verdes, the traditional enchilada dish of four chicken enchiladas, covered with a green salsa. We also tried Chili Colorado which was a marinated steak grilled and then covered in a red spicy salsa that was also served with beans, rice and tortillas. Both meals were perfectly seasoned. served hot and were very good portions For those with a hungry appetite or someone interested in taking home to finish later. Tables were serviced quickly, and the restaurant was very clean. We did not have the opportunity to try the restrooms, but was pleasantly surprised how attentive the staff was addressing any issue, brought it to their attention. Our server checked on us frequently, as well as ensuring drinks, and anything else we needed was handled timely. Dos Primos provided a great experience and look forward to visiting them again.
