Passed by Rosy's the other day and saw the reviews and finally went to try them out and so so so happy we did! This will now be our go-to Mexican place. Order * taco Tuesday special 10 tacos and chips & salsa for $25 * 5 carne asada * 5 pollo * horchata So delicious! It was a bit of a wait but I think it was because people order over the phone or online since so many people came to pick up. It was definitely worth it though. There was a lottttttt of cinnamon in the horchata where I would be slurping up clusters but after drinking a bit and giving it a good stir it was still good. It was also I believe one size (large) which was more than enough for two. We will be MOST DEFINITELY be back!! read more

Recently moved to the area from LA and after trying many, many mexican restaurantsband this is far and away the closest to what we would find there and honestly just as good. 100% authentic. Highly recommend the street tacos with a side of consume ( which is incredible) to dip them in. My daughter, who is particular about her mexican, annihilated her birria tacos and said they reminded her of california. Super nice family runs it and service was great. We will be back frequently. All of the food is delicious and always hot & fresh. I have several favorite dishes. The shrimp salad & the 4 beef tacos-to-go are my usual choices. Super friendly & quick. Great tacos- I really liked the pineapple salsa on the pastor tacos. It's my own fault for not looking at the menu first, but I was a little surprised at the price, $16 for 4 small street tacos. But they were good and I enjoy supporting small businesses. read more

Located in the same parking lot as ZX gas these tacos are the real deal street tacos. I consider myself a taco snob and these are as good as it gets. Two soft shell corn tortillas, a protein, onion, and cilantro are the only ingredients in a real deal street taco. They have a great special of twelve tacos, rice, beans, tortilla chips, salsa, and queso for $35 and it fed our family of four. The beans are the best you'll find north of the Rio Grande and bonus, bonus, bonus, they offer taco de lengua (tongue) that are absolutely delicious. You won't find better street tacos in the St Louis area, the restaurants on Cherokee Street aren't even a close second to these guys. read more

Lots of take out orders were being picked up- I was naturally inquisitive and asked how long they'd been in business. They started shortly before COVID and they survived and THRIVED. Great food, great service. We ordered to go - the taco Tuesday deal that came with 10 tacos of 2 meats of your choice for $25. We got 20 - pastor, beef, and another order of all chicken. They were traditional street tacos with onion and cilantro and came with plenty of limes as well as a red and green salsa. My favorite was the pastor. We also ordered a large refried beans, a large rice, which easily fed 6 people, and chips, salsa, and chorizo queso. All so flavorful and delicious. I will definitely be back! read more

We went on a Thursday afternoon and we were the only ones in the restaurant. Unfortunately they didn't have any Agua fresca which was disappointing We ordered a carne asada entree plate, quesabirria tacos, and the "Thursday special" which was 3 soft shell ground beef tacos. Pros: -Our waitress was nice and efficient -The quesabirria tacos were great! Great flavor to them although smaller than what I'm used to. Cons: -the carne asada was extremely tough, it was hard to cut and hard to chew. We ended up eating everything else and not the meat which was disappointing. -the soft tacos didn't have much flavor to them Overall I'd come back to try different items as they seem to have good ratings read more

I called my order in and they said it would be ready in about 15 to 20 minutes. I arrived in about 20 minutes and my food was ready. I ordered the birria tacos. It was okay but it could have had more meat cheese. For about $17 you get three birria tacos, rice, and the consume dipping sauce. Food prices are high so price is fine i guess. I wish I had more pico de gallo. The entree is okay and sometimes I will order when I don't feel like driving to the southside of St. Louis to get this dish. read more

This place is such a local precious gem. They have such great food and one of the only places around that have birria tacos. There regular street tacos are also amazing. Rice and beans are better then other places around. If you like horchata get here somewhat early cause they do run out from time to time. I can't attest for their margaritas because I've never had one. But as far as food goes this place is amazing. I make sure to come about once a month for tacos. read more

Great place - kind of tricky to find but worth the search. I had the Campecjano Burrito, and my adult son had the Big Burrito. Neither of us could finish the meal... I ate barely half. I went in, at lunch, with three tables seated. The cook, who I think is Paco, motioned for me to grab a seat. I saw the menus so grabbed one as well. Ok. The server came over a few minutes later and asked my drink order, then later brought it out. I ordered the breakfast burrito... and asked if it was served wet or dry. Dry. I don't like to eat a burrito in my hands if it's only one tortilla... as explosions are bound to happen. So I ordered it. And as she was about to turn... I said with rice (one of the three options). She brought my drink, then came back five minutes later, and asked if I wanted tater tots with that. Nope. Rice. She then arrived with my meal. I dove in but then realized only one tortilla. Oh well. But then the burrito dropped on my hand. No napkin on the table. Someone had asked her for napkins and she came by while carrying those other napkins, and I asked for one of those... and a fork... to eat my rice with. She handed me a napkin and turned to go get another napkin for her other patrons. That other table without the napkins, also had no silverware. One of them stood up and grabbed the clean silverware from an open tub nearby.... right next to where the server got the napkins. Facepalm. She came by just a minute later as I was finishing my burrito and determining if I was going to get my own silverware. She asked about my dish. "Oh you'd like to finish your rice. Want it in a box?" "No. I'll eat it here." She started to walk away... "but I have no fork." She grabbed one, but the rice was mostly cold now. Went to go pay but then the charge was about half the proper rate. She had rung me up for my drink and an ice cream... that I didn't have. I had to wait five minutes while they corrected the charges. Summary: Good burrito. But the service was appalling. The price for the burrito and rice was $2 less than the steak milanesa plate at Las Margaritas five miles away... which had far more food, better presentation, and better service. Really, really terrible. Wanted to try this place because of the great reviews and was horribly disappointed. Chips were stale, queso tasted like it was straight out of a can and the enchiladas were just not good. Extremely overpriced for the food and location on top of the bad food. Literally got home and immediately took Tums. We also had ordered a piece of vanilla cake to go and got home to discover some kind of green goo in the middle and a giant hair. So gross! read more

I was headed East from Lake St. Louis and happened to notice this new little restaurant next to a gas station. I saw the sign that said Rosy's Cakes & Paco's Tacos. I said to myself, is that the same as the one I have been to in St. Peter's and sure enough, it was! I had already eaten and I knew what I was here for before I even walked in the door...the Tres Leches Cake. They had slices pre-packed in the refrigerator. I grabbed one and checked out and left. While I was there I noticed how clean and cute the place is and that everyone was speaking Spanish. The clerk spoke English to me but I spoke Spanish back so I didn't look like the out of place gringa that I am. If you don't know what Tres Leches Cake is it's just a sponge cake soaked in a mixture of three milks (cream, condensed milk, and evaporated milk). It's very sweet and moist and I think this one that Rosy's Cakes & Paco's Tacos makes it about the best one I've ever had. I'll be back for tacos but also for more cake. Muy Bueno. read more

So I have passed this place a million times. It sits on the south side of the bridge next to a gas station here in Dardene Prairie and Its tucked out of the way Today I decided I needed to try it. So after a quick check of dining accommodations and the sign on yhe window, I ordered a couple of street tacos. One beef and one chicken. The owner, Paco brought me a plate with the 2 tacos, some chips and salsa. All was fresh and handmade in house. Let me tell you. They were delicious. Just enough spice and definitely homemade. No El Toro packaged seasoning here. The chicken was tender, they were topped with just a little onion and minced cilantro. A wedge of lime was on the plate for a fresh squeeze. I had already had lunch, but I can't wait to return for a full dinner. The prices are reasonable if not cheap for the quality of food you get. I highly recommend this place the next time you think of Mexican food and consider going to the local chain places. Rosy's and Paco's has a full menu and also homemade deserts.
