Cake Batter! I always come back for that cake batter! It's sweet, thick and creamy. Nobody else has captured the true taste of cake batter. This is a great location for Coldstone. A major intersection capturing lots of passers byes plus there are otehr store snad restaurants in the palza to pull in customers. The location is like a row house, you can park on either side and still enter the facility. We parked in the rear and the rear is a dump! Flipped over table, open electrical panels. Doesn't really make you feel great about the place. Luckily in the front where the ice cream is, it looks clean. But I can share this place needs a little refresh interior wise. read more

Went to Cold Stone for the first time recently. The ice cream itself was decent, but the service didn't really match the atmosphere I expected from an ice cream shop. The employee with red locs seemed disengaged and like she didn't like her job. After adding one singular oreo for my mix-in, I politely asked for another and she just looked at me as if I offended her or something...it was weird. Overall, the ice cream was average. The customer service was off-putting. I just expected a more friendly approach from that ice cream shop. I'm not big ice cream eater, so knowing their menu or how to order quickly was not my forte. Lucky for me at 4pm on a Saturday Winter night there was no line. The only co worker was very nice and helpful, made me a delicious strawberry cookie brookie contraption. She also was quick to make sure the bathroom was refilled after a customer mentioned it needing attending. Customer service was very patient with me and made me a good treat. The inside wasn't really a place I'd want to hang out and the cooler with cakes in it makes a really sudden loud noise. I had to find parking i an additional space behind the building. read more

The ice cream was eh..... it was really sweet in my opinion, and I got the smallest ice cream which I thought $5.87 was expensive and not really worth it. I sampled a few flavors and they were all pretty sweet - I was doing a corporate sports event that day and just had an intense ice cream craving so this was my first time trying ColdStone in the US. The worst part of my experience were the staff. They were unwelcoming and unfriendly, which in my opinion is not the type of experience you want to have when working in an ice cream store - a lot of the customers were kids/families too, and having a negative attitude at work in a place which is meant to make people happy ( I mean, it is ice cream) is kind of disappointing to say the least. If I get a serious ice cream/sweet craving, I may come back out of desperation, but I think there are much better ice cream places in Boston and/or you can get more ice cream for better quality and cheaper prices from the grocery store. read more

Been to Coldstone many times. Always love it. But the service this time was horrible. It was later at night about an hour before close and upon coming in we saw 3 workers all eating and sitting on the counter they serve on. They didn't acknowledge us except for offering to give us free ice cream if we gave them one of our crumbl cookies we got earlier. After which they continued to gossip and eat on the counter while we were trying to get their attention so we could actually order. After almost 10 minutes of waiting for them to come over one of them got off the counter and asked what we would like. We asked for the silk one since we had a dairy allergy which the worker responded in a very crude and annoyed manner that she will have to go wash her hands (which she didn't even after saying) and that she would need to make sure it doesn't have any dairy in her book. She grabbed the book, went BACK to sitting on the counter with her legs crossed and starts to talk to her coworkers about all the ice cream she didn't know they actually had. After about 5 minutes of her just talking to her coworkers about the book. We told her never mind and we were going to just leave. To which she responded in a very rude manner "I'll make sure it doesn't have dairy for next time." So we wasted about 30 minutes trying to order for them just to waste our time. I visited Cold Stone for the very first time a few days ago and I got the most disappointing, over-priced ice cream I've ever seen. I ordered a Strawberry Blonde. The worked mixed the ice cream on the COLD stone that is supposedly to help freeze the ice cream. What the worker gave me was the saddest, melted mess I've ever seen. Just look at my picture for reference. I paid over $7 for strawberry soup. I don't understand how the worker scooped this mess into a cup, looked at it, and deemed it acceptable to give to a customer. First time having cold stone creamery. Cool idea of having mixed in and I loved my choice of almond, but icecream super meh. Portions are great for its price ( the large was very large and two people couldn't finish it). However the icecream is just SO AVERAGE. I got a large strawberry on a cup and it tasted very sugary and cereal milky, worse than a lot of store bought ice creams. I imagine you'd get the taste if you froze strawberry milk. Decided that I would go to Cold Stone for the first time in forever since they had a buy one get one free deal. I wanted to save some time by ordering through their website and essentially skip the line. However, the employees were so busy helping other customers when I got there that I had to wait a good 5-10 minutes for them to ask me if I was there to pick up an order. I honestly felt like I would've gotten my ice cream faster if I had waited in line--so what's the point of having an online option? When they finally handed me my ice cream, I decided to check my order. There were no spoons in the bag and my order didn't even look right. I ordered chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream with cookie dough mix-in and got a cup of ice cream that was this plain white color. The employees said nothing to me when they handed me my order (like they ran out of the ingredients or whatnot) and basically just made a random ice cream and expected me to walk away with it. The employees at this Cold Stone had a very "not our problem, figure it out" kind of vibe that just wasn't very great customer service on their part. Although the ice cream did not taste awful, it just wasn't what I ordered and I felt like I wasted my money. Also, there was this one employee who kept touching the outside of her mask with her gloved hands and then reaching down to make the ice cream. Stone Cold Review. I was running along the mystic river and stopped by on national ice cream day. The service was horrifically slow with only one person scooping, chopping and running the register. She never wore gloves and on multiple occasions rubbed her face. Briefly, another person was present but there was no increase in efficiency. I waiting in line for about 30mins before deciding that I no longer wanted any ice cream due to service and cleanliness. Also, the employees did not seem to enjoy their job and were very sloppy. We arrived at 9:36 on a Saturday. Hours online AND the door said they close at 10:30. We put the puppy down for a nap and made the drive to Medford. Upon entering, the employee rudely told us they were closed. We asked that we thought their hours state closing as 10:30 based on the door, and he coldly said "Nope. 9:30". We asked if they could please just serve one more customer since we drove all the way here just for ice cream (it's not like we were already out running errands, we planned around our puppy's nap time & made a special trip) but they refused so we left. It honestly wouldn't have been a big deal if they told us they were out of ice cream, their freezers were broken, or whatever was going on... but they had no reason why they were "closed". Based on the other reviews it looks like they do this often. Not to mention, I could never imagine myself treating a customer like that when I worked in the service industry. Regret going to this Cold Stone to try their chocolate waffle taco. We ended up waiting for over an hour for this. (Arrived at 8:15 and didn't leave until 9:22.) There was a long line when we arrived and it moved slowly but we waited patiently. When it was finally our turn, they told us it would take a few minutes to make this for us so we moved aside and paid and continued to wait. The guy who checked us out said it'll be 6 mins. Meanwhile no one started making our order but they continued to take orders from the customers in line behind us. There were two customers behind us who ordered waffle bowls but they got theirs made right away while we kept standing there. They didn't give us our order until the last customer was almost done too. I didn't look at the tacos until I got home and was so disappointed to see that they looked awful and not all like it was advertised. The taco shell had been dipped partially in chocolate but they didn't coat the top with chocolate and nuts after the ice cream was scooped into it. Then they just got saran-wrapped and thrown into a bag. Definitely was not worth the long wait and do not recommend this nor this location. read more

There was a pretty long wait but the worker was really nice and I thought the texture of the ice cream was perfect with the cake and strawberries mixed in. Cold Stone is never my go to for ice cream, but it was close to our hotel and I was out numbered. Usually when you go into a CS, you are bombarded with "Welcome In" or "hello". There was neither.
