Fascinating and interesting bakery in downtown Malden. When I stopped in last weekend, they were pretty low on stock, looked to be about 30% stocked, but I still found PLENTY of interesting things. I went with a blueberry cheese bread, a milk bread bun, three cheese and honey boba breads. The standout for me was the milk bread bun. At first, I didn't realize it was filled with a light cream and thought "meh". Once I got to the cream filled part, I exclaimed "yes!". Mocha frappe 8/10 - This has a strong coffee flavor, not very sweet. It could use a little more chocolate because the coffee was very strong. Iced Matcha Latte 8/10 - I really liked this matcha latte, one of the best ones out there! This is as close to a good matcha you can get without paying crazy prices. Iced latte 8/10 - A simple plane iced latte. Not much to say about it but it was good. Good balance of expresso and milk. The cafe is pretty spacious and there are lots of seating. It used to be an aesthetic quiet cafe but last time I visited there were a few non-customers that were hanging out that kind of disturbed the peace. Came here for a quick drink and didn't leave disappointed! This location is pretty spacious with a large area for pastries, plenty of space for seating, and quick service at the counter for ordering. I got my drink within a few minutes and the taste was pretty good - I've never gotten a taro drink like this before and I have to say that I'd definitely order it again if given the opportunity. The taro flavor is present enough for it to be obvious and I like how it wasn't too sweet like taro drinks sometimes are. The only complaint I have is the whole milk was really strong in the drink - I was told that they usually ask for two scoops of powder and I'll probably do that next time. For more reasonably priced options, their pastries are about $3 - $4 each. Highly recommend their Milk Cream Bread! It was so soft and filled with delicate cream. You can tell they are made fresh especially when you get there right when they open , you actually see them put the freshly baked items from the kitchen. I recommend as the baked items are fresh;y baked every morning however I wish the goods were on display before 7:30 a.m. when I come to grab a delicious croissant bacon and egg breakfast sandwich as many of the baked delights: however it's never/baked when I arrive and I have to wait 15mins or more In the morning which causes me to be late for work. I feel that baked goods especially breakfast sandwiches/items should be ready at 7:00 a.m. in the morning for people off to work and going to school. Grand Opening Today! Bumped into the Mayor coming for the opening celebration. Got to try some fresh pastries! Went a little late in the afternoon, so some stuff were sold out, especially the hot pastries. All the pastries I got were Super flaky, not too sweet and soft as cloud! Haven't disappointed yet. Popped in here after dinner at a near by restaurant on a Tuesday. Even though it was the end of the day, I could still see a variety of pastries available. Given the plethora of choices, my sister and I decided on the honey cheese mochi pancakes and the cream puffs. The cream puffs were soft and filled to the brim with a light cream, in a good way. And the pancakes had that satisfying chew that comes from mochi and the salty and sweetness from the cheese and honey. I believe the cheese of choice was a cream cheese which melted in the mouth upon contact. Establishment was clean and organized with friendly staff. This Tous Les Jours Cafe is my weekend treat! On Saturday morning's you can find me here grabbing (wayyy too many) pastries and a black iced Americano. I am obsessed with the interior here! It boasts huge windows that bring in so much natural light in addition to a side section adorned with booths, tons of marble-top tables and seating. I love slowing down and spending some rare me-time here. The pastries at TLJ are finesse and you'll have a pay a heavy buck for it (it really adds up when you're just an "eye/sight" eater like me). They have a few pastries here that I cannot find elsewhere and therefore can justify my willingness to keep throwing money at TLJ for. If you ever see a peanut cream soboro bun... GRAB IT. GET IT. GET 1 FOR NOW AND 1 FOR LATER. I need to emphasize that its the CREAM version not just the regular peanut soboro. Many times I get to TLJ only to be told they've sold out for the day (it's literally only 12:30PM WTTHH). But yes, that's my top 1! If you can't get your hands on the peanut cream soboro, get the taro cream bread. It's super soft and the taro flavor is sweet but not too sweet and I literally inhale this entire loaf in a sitting. If you're a savory pastry person, I recommend the kimchi croquette here (warmed would be ideal if they have it in the warmer) but it's filled with glass noodles and diced kimchi! Super satisfying and a pretty substantial size too! My roommate in college worked at another TLJ location and at the end of every shift (she worked until closing) they would give their employees bags of pastries that didn't sell to take home instead of throw away. I'm not sure if they still do this but I always find myself believing this is still true as every single time I get pastries at TLJ, they're always so fresh- I'm convinced there are no leftover pastries from the day before! I recently ordered the matcha cloud cake for my birthday and thought it was just okay. But the employee that took my cake order followed my preferences to a T and was the sweetest! Overall cake ordering experience was a 4.5 but taste was like a 3.5. Not sure if I'll give another cake variation a try but they are super cute and pretty anndd super tempting! read more

As a Starbucks fan, I compared it to the venti size and the large here is more like a grande (for the same cost as a large at Starbucks). Not sure that I'd purchase again if given a choice between the two. This cafe also has a wide selection of pastries. If you're looking for hot food items? There are a few options but they left much to be desired. There were minimal options and misleading pics around the cafe. For instance, there's an image of a blt/egg sandwich, which isn't actually offered. I plan to visit again as this is the ideal location if you're looking for a semi quiet spot to work w/snacks and beverages on deck. Great French-asian pastries! A bit pricey, but they are tasty. We tried the chocolate hazelnut croissant and almond square croissant. They both had filling inside. This place is so cool! Walking in reminded me of a bakery in Mexico, bc/ it's the same drill- you grab a tray and tongs and pick out a bunch of pastries. Prices are good! If I lived near here I would become a regular. Got a coffee and then asked for recommendations. My favorite was the honey bread. It looks kind of like French toast- it's thick, and has been soaked in deliciousness, but is actually toasty on the outside. Great combo of textures- crunch, then soft interior. Tl;dr: decent baked goods but nothing exceptional, good drinks, nice seating, would go back. Tous les Jour Malden is a Korean chain bakery. This is the fourth location in Boston and a welcome addition to the growing Malden food scene. You'll find staple Asian baked goods like curry croquette, melon pan, and whole milk bread that are not carried in Western bakeries. They also have a wide selection of cakes, mandu, macarons, etc. The food was OK but not stellar. E.g., the curry croquette could have used more curry and the croissant was a bit dry. The drinks were good: the iced coffee was smooth and the iced matcha latte was velvety and had a strong matcha taste. Given that the closest competition for baked goods in Malden is the Dunkin' across the street, Tous les Jour is a clear winner in Malden and I'll be going back regularly. read more

I love downtown Malden. There's so much to discover and just tons of cool places like Tous Les Jours. Great selection of cakes and other bakery goodies. The location is spotless and beautiful. I wanted to eat there but had places to go so couldn't stop but it looked so appealing to grab a seat and just relax. I ended up getting a small cheese cake. Very similar to Uncle Tetsu if you're familiar with that chain. Tasted delicious. Melt in your mouth with a very creamy cheese flavor. While waiting in line, the cakes got me and I also bought a coffee flavored slice of delight. I mean seriously - it was delightful and made me happy and was a perfect piece of cake with a luscious coffee flavor and cream throughout. I recommend splurging and grabbing a slice of cake as that had many awesome looking flavors. read more
