Been frequenting Mooresville a little more than usual lately and although I've been to this Cold Stone in the past, it's been a while. But since I was in the area and I had a taste for ice cream I decided to stop in. There was no one in the store when I arrived and I was helped right away. I easily placed my order - but I will say that the individual making my ice cream was stingy with the toppings. I had to ask her for more, because she literally added about a teaspoon of each topping, when normally the toppings are overflowing. I'm not sure if she was new - or if that's unique to this location, but I didn't like it. However, she was nice, and when I asked her to add a little bit more, she did with no problem. I also ordered mine to go and had to ask her for a bag since she didn't offer one. It really seemed like she could have been new to the establishment so maybe she didn't think to do that. But my ice cream was as good as expected and I'd return. read more

Go to Brusters in Mooresville instead. Went on a slow weeknight and got an attitude because I asked if they had hot fudge. I feel like that's a pretty normal request for an ice cream place. You can get the same thing with better service many other places. read more

Cold Stone is a great place to go after some pizza. They offer many different types of ice creams. My favorite is their pistachio ice cream that I sometimes get in a cup or make it into a delicious milkshake. Try it! No regrets. They usually have 2-3 workers working there, so the service is quick. They also offer ice cream cakes in their refrigerators for any special occasion. This location is as clean as it gets. Although they don't offer many tables inside there are some more outside of the store. Great place to bring friends and to enjoy some fresh ice cream! read more

I'm not sure if it's the location, the concept, the people working at the time, the value or what but I was FLOORED at how crappy of an experience this was. First of all, while walking in, we overheard the workers complaining (with people in the shop) about seeing $0 on the tip line of the previous customer's sale. It was only while I was walking out when I realized WHY. So I order a small and while I'm glad I wasn't overloaded with a ginormous serving, it was literally about half of a cup of soupy vanilla ice cream, two blueberries, one strawberry, and a smattering of Graham crackers. Literally have had better at a kindergarten ice cream social. The server, who appeared to be completely irritated, and the one in charge of everyone slid this incredible value toward me and proceeded to make my sons custom order and filled half of his cup with again, chocolate soupy ice cream with a few random chunks of Oreos and a strawberry. The only one remotely satisfied with her order was my daughter who ordered a cotton candy milk shake which is pretty hard to screw up - milk plus ice cream equals milk shake. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that I didn't actually have to BREAK a twenty but needed to ADD TO IT for this mess! Twenty dollars and 26 cents for what amounted to ice cream soup. I am all about people making a buck which would have been easier to accept for a product that was not sub par and served by people who didn't bark about their wages and subsequently be seen throwing around an empty gallon of Ice cream in the back of the store as we sat outside enjoying the remnants of the Ice cream we licked off of our cups. read more

I want to start off by saying how much I love cold stone and have been to this location many times. Tonight they closed at 9pm I asked my husband to please run there for me before they close. We are like 5 min down the road. He got there at 8:55pm. As he went to walk towards the door the woman behind the counter literally ran to the door and locked it. Mind you customers were still inside. My husband went to the door and said "really? It's not even 9pm yet" so the woman at the cash register told the woman to open the door. Literally the rudest thing I've ever seen. There was no need for it just ridiculous. Like I said been here many times and never experienced this usually a nice crew working. I went into cold stone about 5 minutes before closing time. I guess the gentleman working wanted out of work, ASAP! As bad as I felt already, for showing up 5 minutes before closing, he made me feel even worse. He didn't even mix my ice cream together. It was ice cream with a huge chunk of cookie dough on top. And I was not allowed to have any Hershey's fudge because he already cleaned it. As I was walking out to leave, two couples walked in. The boy working was swearing under his breathe. I give this place 5 stars, it has the best icecream in mooresville, it's so creamy, so delicious, and it made right their right in front of you, I go at least once a month, I love their oreo overload, it's makes your mouth water.. Used to have good customer service with nice helpful crew. Had the worst experience in a long time. Two of the three members were rude, condescending. The third looked embarrassed to be there. Went in to celebrate with my daughters. Left wondering if we will ever return. Left message for management online since the employees claimed that they had no contact information. I prefer a little lighter taste and not so dense. The ice cream you select is then placed on a marble slab and has the fixing(s) mixed in right there in front of you. Clean inside and friendly staff. The store has a set menu you can choose from OR you can design your own cup/cone of ice cream. Sizes range from S, M and L. Beware: if you design your own cup, it could get expensive. read more
