    The Country's Best Yogurt!
    Monica D.

I'm so glad TCBY is back, y'all. I remember having a miniature farewell party with some friends in high school when our local TCBY closed and we thought it was the end of our fro yo days forever. And then lo and behold one day while having a raucous evening in Charleston, SC I saw that they were back and better than ever. And now there is one near my house! I come to this TCBY so often that I am officially the Duchess, so I feel like an authority on their offerings and service. Allow me to share my knowledge. This is one of those self-serve fro-yo places. You pile your yogurt and toppings high in a cup to your heart's content, and then you pay by the pound (of fro-yo, not of weight that said fro-yo is adding to your rear end). They rotate flavors pretty regularly but always seem to have the tried-and-true basics like chocolate and vanilla and tart. They have a good selection of toppings, but I am always a little disappointed for some reason ... I can't figure out why. Maybe I need more fresh fruit options or better fudge. Or, I don't know, maybe I'm just a spoiled brat who wants every possible fro yo topping offered to her. The space has plenty of seating, though I believe it is all indoors. They have TVs so you can watch basketball or Disney channel or whatever while you eat your sugary treat. Parking is usually doable, though Harris Teeter can sometimes get crazy and make parking impossible. My main complaint is that this place seems to have an occasional plumbing issue that makes it smell TERRIBLE in there. I always walk out immediately when I smell it -- I feel like the sulfuric smell is the universe's way of telling me I don't need to eat fro yo that day.

    Yum!

I take my little brother everywhere to do fun things especially on a beautiful day like this! So I decide to take him to TCBY. The place was clean but what I always notice is that when a customer walks in they are always in the back. I first thought they were getting stuff done but they are ALWAYS back there, even between customers! So when someone pays and sits down they go right to the back again. So we walk in and the lady comes out and helps us and all that. But when we were paying her phone rings and she answers it (after we pay) but was talking very loudly to the point where it was kinda awkward. Everything else was great it just seemed rude to be on your phone right in front of a customer.

Came here with my husband and son. Got the no sugar added, fat free salted caramel and it was very yummy! My son got to the cotton candy and the chocolate and vanilla swirl with cookies on top. He loved it. Clean and delicious.

Great atmosphere and customer service since they reopened with a new owner. I'm glad to see a turnaround with this store.

We came across Whit's Frozen Custard, which was nearby. Ice Cream or Frozen Custard is always a good thing anywhere. Certainly after a long day of travel, it is a welcomed experience, no doubt. We came to Whit's Frozen Custard in Huntersville on a Veteran's Day holiday evening. We were thankful they were still open around 7pm. It was standing room only, since we wanted to order something and head back on the road. It was a small enough ice cream shop that we were just happy to be there. You could feel the subtle ambiance that life is good and things are fine. With that said, I ended up with a pint of chocolate ice cream and my friend had a 2 scoops of her favorite flavor. They already had pre packed pints in the freezer, so I just did that to save time and not have the staff pack a fresh one. We spent at most 20 minutes here from start to finish. It was a delicious treat after arriving in CLT international airport and spent the evening, stopping at Huntersville. It was definitely well needed. The overall experience here at Whit's Frozen Custard here in Huntersville, North Carolina was good and typical at the same time. The staff here was great in taking care of us and the ice cream was delicious. They were friendly and they smiled more than I noticed. I'm not sure what the difference is between genuine ice cream and frozen custard is but, the taste seems to be no difference. Or very little. The prices here are very reasonable, but if you want added value, you should consider the pint or a quart and save the rest in the freezer for a rainy day. Unless of course, you are buying for a party. My experience here at Whit's Frozen Custard was delicious. I'd definitely recommend coming here, if you are in the area, going to or from CLT international airport, consider stopping by for some ice cream. They make it homemade and its fresh every day. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself. Whit's Frozen Custard ice cream shop in Huntersville, North Carolina is located at 10410 Arahova Drive in Huntersville. They accept major credit cards and cash, if you have it. As far as parking goes, they have a small parking lot for customers. There is regional public transportation services that come here from the CLT airport, so that's pretty cool. Just search the one that's right for your situation. And of course, ideally, having your own car or a rented one would help a lot with time. Then there's Uber and Lyft, if you need them for your travel needs too. For the most part though, it was very nice to be here and maybe hope to be here again soon, if my future travels permit to do so. Definitely a sweet treat to be had. Definitely recommended if you enjoy all the flavors of the rainbow. 5.0 stars for the overall experience. Support local! A+

"No. It's company policy we don't make accommodations. And there's no button for that." So I can hold the cheese & bacon, both I'm sure are extra $$ if added, but I can't get a simple slice of tomato on a grilled chicken sandwich?! She then said "we don't have tomatoes. We DO have an heirloom tomato BLT sandwich but we can't put a tomato on your sandwich." It's not like they have a massive menu where accommodations would prove problematic. I brought it up to the person running out our food and the response was even more condescending and arrogant. "We don't have the option on the register to accommodate." The snarkiness was appalling. The correct answer is "sorry sir, let me get you that slice of tomato." Not hard. I would have even accepted that without a "sorry." Now, on to the food review.... Ice machine was broken and they were out of the self serve lemonade my friend ordered. Well done, Milkbread. The chicken sandwich looked pathetic. A small-ish gray chicken patty with a smushy bun, pickles and a smattering of lettuce. The story doesn't get much better with the flavor - bland and unremarkable. Now, you can look at my past reviews - I RARELY GIVE BAD ones - because I understand restaurants have off days, but this was so astoundingly pompous without any of the quality to back it up. It's rare to have such terrible in-your-face haughtiness these days but somehow they managed to under-exceed all my expectations. I will never return. I encourage you to look elsewhere.

Visiting from out of town so I wanted to try a local coffee place. The rating and the name sounded encouraging. Only one person working so the line to order was long. We asked for the egg sandwiches featured prominently on a sign at the entrance ... and they were not available. In fact, the bakery case was nearly empty. At 8:30 a.m. The woman behind the counter suggested two of their breakfast croissants. We asked to have them heated. After a, no kidding, 10 minute wait she let us know that she had broken the oven. So we asked for them cold because we needed to go. They were dreadful. Tossed mine. And in a wonderful display of irony, even their large screen television menu failed while we were in the room. I will say that the coffee was perfectly serviceable. Experiences like this are why people go to chains like Starbucks for coffee and breakfast. I would say I want my tip back, but I suspect she is so frazzled that she earned it and then some. Absolute disaster. I hope our experience was a one off.
