This is one of the smallest Cold Stone Creamery I've ever been to. It had a few tables inside, and then a few more outside. The two girls working behind the counter were pleasant, and managed to keep the line moving in an efficient manner. Cold Stone Creameries in general have an excellent assortment of flavors, and once you take into account all the mix-in potentials, there is definitely something to make everyone happy. This visit I had the Birthday Cake remix, which is cake batter ice cream, rainbow sprinkles, brownie pieces, and then I substituted caramel for the fudge it usually comes with - delicious! I have only been in this location a couple of times, and both times it was pretty dirty. Tables weren't wiped off, floor wasn't clean, and counters were sticky. The gentleman in charge of the register wasn't sure how to use my $1 off with Yelp check-in, so he tried a few things, and managed to get one dollar removed. They don't have a water cooler, so the manager gave me a cup of tap water. It's a good spot if you're desperate for a quick fix, but if you have the time, I'd go elsewhere. read more

When I lived in VA Cold Stone was the spot. However, I'm not impressed by them anymore. I ordered one of their speciality mixes (with cookie dough - I forgot the name lol). & it wasn't as good as I expected it to be. My daughter ordered the birthday cake remix and she left more than half (that says a lot!). I guess you don't get homemade when you come to a chain ice cream shop. My daughter however, was super impressed with the entire experience (mixing the ice cream and toppings). The guy up front was super kind and welcoming. Great Ice cream place. Had the chips ahoy ice cream with crunch, Reese pieces and toffee bar. It was excellent. The ice cream was not as good as it used to be and not as many flavors, just basics. Small place with limited seating and only one employee, noone there but me on a Saturday afternoon, sad. I really like the concept and think it is cool, but expensive for what you get. Coldstone is AWESOME. I used to frequent the one on Marco. Had a few friends that worked there. Had tons of fun tipping them well but in small increments over time so they had to sing again. Cracked me up but they were good sports. I became addicted to their Cake 'n' Shake milkshake for quite awhile. Bits of vanilla cake mixed into vanilla ice cream. So simple, almost vanilla, but soooo good. Like, order two of them good because the first one will be done by the time you're at your car. Had a bad experience at this location, however. Ordered two of those and the total came out to nearly $20. Now I don't care if you like it, love it or gotta have it... $20 is a lot for two shakes. I'm pretty certain the kid made a mistake, but I'm not one to argue. Still tipped. Didn't get a song. Haven't returned. read more

went here with a groupon...second bad experience with these groupons. If something sounds too good to be true, its because it probably is too good to be true! I think groupons are for places that are struggling to do well. I paid $7 for a groupon voucher worth $10. Purchased two "love it" size ice creams, nothing special and no extra toppings, just ice cream. The owner/manager ended up charging me an extra 75 cents for I don't know what? if each cost $4.45 x 2 = 8.90 + tax it should have never been over $10. If my Groupon was worth $10 why did he charge us extra? dishonest business, never returning again. No wonder they are selling groupons, they must be lacking in business. read more

Of course the ice cream here would taste like any other cold stone and has to be maintained as per company's policy so whats to review is the service. I don't recall any of the employees greeting us when we came in, we were the only customers there. I checked in on yelp prior to my order and was given $1 off my visit. When I tried to use it the man at the counter told me the owner doesn't accept those coupons. Rather than deny the use, he continued to ramble on about how the owner complains that using the coupons is "giving things away." You're telling me $1 off my $15 purchase of two ice creams is "giving things away" and will cause you to go out of business? Lol he accepted the coupon anyway but made sure I understood that it was a one time kind gesture from him, despite the owners wishes. As a customer I don't care, you honor your coupons and you make the customer happy. That's it. Menchies is across the street, ice cream isn't in short supply. read more

The recent staff has all been efficient, and though I still don't think the actual ice cream is life changing, the many ways to combine tons of ingredients is. We called recently to confirm a time since it was conflicting time online. They told us they closed at 9:40pm. 9:40.... who closes at 9:40?! I am hooked on Cold Stone ice cream, my #1 Coffee Lovers, love it size please. Its so good I conveniently forgot i'm lactose intolerant, but its one of those pains worth going thru. Too corporate for my liking, I love a good, old fashioned, down to earth mom n pop shop. This ain't it! Ice cream is great, but don't plan on taking it anywhere! Melts super fast so you have to rush to eat it there before it's soup. The service is hit or miss. The young man who dealt with us tonight was sweet and courteous, that was a shock. And one thing this place is missing, it's like the rule...the one thing every ice cream parlor should have...a water fountain! That's their corporate ploy to get you to BUY a water bottle for a dollar fifty when all you want is a sip to quench that after sundae thirst. For the price (a medium sized ice cream with toppings $5.60) I could go somewhere nice on fifth like Regina's, Kilwins, or Abbotts Frozen Custard. They've got the ambiance of fifth ave, same price as cold stone, and that feel good mom n pop vibe! read more
