Ugh what a disappointment. I worked at a Cold Stone in high school and have been going to them since then and this location was the saddest one I've ever been in. The last few times I've been there, the store has been dirty. Dirty tables, trash on the floor, checkout counter has stuff all over it. The counters are also overcrowded and you cannot see anything being done. That's part of the experience. There was never anyone there to greet me. I always had to say "hello? excuse me?" before someone emerges from the back and acts as though I've ruined their whole day. Once I paid, the employee disappeared again. Holy shit. I have never In my whole entire life been to a place so absolutely disgusting and unsanitary. The second you walk in it smells like rotting milk and if you have ever been to a cold stone they all smell amazing. First red flag. This store was so nasty the cold stone they mix your ice cream on is covered in old cups and random stuff from the store and they had like two places on it that weren't covered with items to mix your ice cream on. We ordered an ice cream and a milk shake and I'm the time they were making both we realized we were not taking one bite of anything from that place. This was my first time at the Cold Stone and it was a busy evening. The line was long but the 3 workers there were great. They worked very fast and still were able to keep the line moving while being professional. There are lots of choices here and it was hard to pick but I had plenty of time in line to choose. The only down side are the ridiculous things they make the workers sing when they get a tip. They're trying to help people and take orders but can't do that singing songs about tips. Extremely disappointed with the quality, service, and product of this Cold stone location. My poor experience started with using the restroom. The bathroom was not clean, the floor, the toilet, the sink, everything needed bleach. There was no toilet paper or paper towels. The entire lobby was littered with napkins and trash. The employees looked so extremely unhappy and overwhelmed. Water flooded behind the counter causing them to slip and slide all over. I observed multiple instances of cross contamination between touching trash, floor, and food. It was disgusting! When a customer asked the girl to change gloves she appeared very unwilling. The workspace for preparing ice cream was a mess. Utensils and food were littered everywhere on the counters. Multiple empty ice cream tubs were left in the case and on counter. They were out of multiple items that we requested: vanilla ice cream, strawberries, and waffle bowls. The employees were clearly overwhelmed and unhappy. One girl disappeared despite the long line out the door. She could be seen standing in back room on her phone. The other girls were also checking their Apple watches and phones once again returning back to preparing food. Sometimes they wore gloves, sometimes not. We waited 35 minutes to be told they were out of multiple items. After observing the significant health code/food preparation concerns we decided to leave. By far this is the best chain ice cream shop around. I've been to this location (and other locations) many times and always enjoy their ice cream selections. The ice cream tastes fresh and has great texture. I love watching them mix in the toppings into the ice cream. The staff is generally friendly although some are friendlier than others. On this trip I tried the Churro Caramel Crave with a scoop of banana ice cream. The churros were served warm and were nice and crispy. They were coated with sugar and cinnamon. Personally, I could have done without the cinnamon. It was topped off with whipped cream and caramel sauce. I really liked the banana ice cream. It had a nice flavor and was not cloyingly sweet.
