I have never experienced worse service in making food, worse cleanliness in any restaurant, or worse customer service and behavior of employees. Not only were the employees not addressing customers waiting in line and yelling and laughing at one another. There was also a woman not working sitting behind the counter, eating and leaving trash out. The counter where we finally got ice cream was not clean and the mixing was terrible. Details: I flew two states to attend my dad's 74th birthday party. I was responsible for his birthday cake. I ordered a custom cake (strawberry ice cream/no mix-ins, vanilla/yellow cake decorated with blue icing, white rosettes, and white custom writing) on 6 Jul 24 for a 7 Jul 24, 4pm pick-up. I was helping set-up the party, so I sent my daughter to pick up the cake. When she arrived, the employees said there was an issue with the icing and she would have to return in 2 hours, giving them time to fix all the orders affected by the faulty icing. When my daughter returned without the cake, I called the store and requested to speak to a manager. When the employee came on the line, I asked for their name, and they refused to provide it due to privacy concerns. I explained my situation and expressed my frustration. At first, the manager/employee was coarse and not going to offer any alternative or compensation which was unacceptable. I purchased a custom cake, entrusting Cold Stone to have it ready at the promised time. Not only did they not have the cake ready, but I was not given any prior notice of their issues to potentially make alternate arrangements, but we had already wasted a trip down there only to be told to come back in 2 hours because they had orders to complete/correct due to the faulty icing. By the end of the conversation, we agreed that they would be provided a ready-made cake out of their display with custom red (it was actually pink) writing and a full refund for the custom cake I originally ordered. I sent my daughter down again to pick-up the alternate cake and to collect a receipt for the refund. Again, my daughter asked for the employee's/manager's name and was again refused with no additional explanation. I went to the website of the Sierra Vista Cold Stone store hoping to find the store manager's contact information in order to personally share my experience with them. Their contact information was not posted, so I placed a comment to the company's headquarters. It is important Cold Stone owners/leadership be aware of situations like this and the service customers receive in order to do better. read more

Wow! I ordered the Oreo overload and it's amazing possibly one of the best ice cream I ever had. I opted for the "I like it" size which is a little over a scoop for $5.49 but I think it was well worth it. The girl behind the counter was working solo - taking orders, making ice cream, and running the register. However, she was a good multitasker and kept the line going. Finally a Cold Stone in this small town! Its frustrasting dealing with the parking lot outside but so worth coming in. Everything looks all nice and new. All the toppings so neat and make you want to try all sorts of sweet concoctions. My favorite thing about them is their birthday icecream cakes which you can grab and go or custom order. Husband and I walk in to the store today. I asked my husband are they closed Bill? Neither girl could say hello, drop dead, whatever. They just stared at us!! We were the only 2 people in there! Finally one said what would you like? We ordered, I paid at register, although there were drops of ice cream all over the counter, found a cleaner spot, unfortunately I was standing on the sticky floor in front of the counter. My dish had ice cream running down the outside of it. Okay and having a bathroom door standing open in the eating area, wasn't so great. Every little while the bathroom light would come on, then off! I'm sorry I want places in Sierra Vista to thrive, but you have to teach your workers some basic work ethics! Clean counters, wipe off tables, mop the floor. Please teach someone to take pride in what they are doing. My first job was at a Dairy Queen, and the owner was hands on. He didn't hire you and leave, he was there to help you learn, it was his livelihood . He wanted to keep business coming in. Love Coldstone, but this one needs some help litteraly and figuratively. The had 2 employees when we arrived, but only one was serving customers. The other was just cleaning and the line was out the door. Watched many people walk out because the line was too long. The Asian girl mixing appeared to be in a pissy mood. No smile. Could see the look on her face was pure frustration. Finally another employee showed up and line started moving. Was going to give tip, but when he rang me up he didn't even give me my change 2.38. You can't go wrong with Cold Stone ice cream, but unfortunately you can go wrong with customer service. On our last visit to this location that was the case. The young lady helping us acted bothered that we asked for samples and gave us such small samples I couldn't even taste it. She never asked what mix in's we wanted she just put the topping sprinkled on top falling off everywhere. The mix ins, in my opinion, are one of the reason that make Cold Stone unique. After all isn't that the reason for the name, you have the mix in added in on the cold stone. We will definitely not be back anytime soon and hope that she is not the one serving us if we do return. Also as we sat and ate our ice cream I watched her behave the same way to the other customers. Definitely not the experience we have had at other locations. read more

How can you not love a cold stone creamery and how can you not give it 5 stars. I mean you create what you want to do eat so you only have yourself to blame if your treat sucks lol. Definitely glad cold stone came back to sierra vista. The staff here was awesome, we came in, on their first week of opening and they were slammed. The place was full and still the staff was fast and always friendly and made our visit great and made our ice cream perfect and was just what we were hoping for. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because they typically seem understaffed at times and if there are 10 people ahead of you.......plan to wait 25 minutes or more. Anahy is awesome! Came in on Friday night and the place was packed! I mean, the traffic didn't stop from the time I walked in the door, waited for my order, and left. Throughout the crazy busy time I was there the crew working kept up amazing work and all had incredible customer service! As a young group of workers I (as well as the gentleman behind me in line) was thoroughly impressed with how hard they were all working to keep up with the crowd and provide each and every customer with quick service and a smile. I went here the other night, just before supper time and the place was packed! I mean people in line and small kids bouncing off the walls and running amok in this small venue; muggy and typical smell of sour, old dairy product. NO 'semblance of order as to where to order, pay, or to sit and have an order taken. It was SO bad I just read the menu and went back outside and waited until the place cleared out. I went back in after about 15 minutes, only a few "high brow" type college students left trying to figure out what they wanted. Well, one of their Signature items that was advertised on-line wasn't available! OK, plan B. Get alternatives. Now here's the trick. Try to get it home in an edible state in 90 degree weather, in 15 minutes. Ain't happenin'. I put it in a cooler in the car and put it in the freezer on arrival home. An hour later, I had a round brick of ice cream! Could've made a peanut butter and strawberry igloo with a few more! Micro-waving helped but in the end, it wasn't worth the hassle. $16.50 for 2 cups of ice cream to go and ended up with 2 cups of slurry! There was one pleasant young lady waiting on the unwashed masses; one guy making cakes and the other guy doing something very messy with batter and a waffle maker! Whadda mess!!! Cold Stone was here in town several years ago on SR 92 and disappeared. It's back in a smaller, less accessible venue. read more

So me and my bf came here to get a sweet treat and one guy was super nice and the other was not. The red head was a total doll, very sweet and helped us. The other guy working with him (04/14/19 at 4:15) was beyond rude. He made fun of a customer after she left because she asked for whipped cream on her smoothie and he was literally making fun of her. Then he was making fun of another past employee and calling her names and said "who cAres she doesn't work here anymore". THEN HE GAVE ME MY OCE CREAM WITHOUT GLOVES ON AND IT WAS SO GROSS BECAUSE HE TOUCHED THE ICE CREAM WITH HIS BARE HANDS. read more

This ice cream is good, but not good enough to offset the fact that the store is usually poorly staffed and smells like sour milk. As a side note, whoever decided to hire the teenage manager should rethink their choice...she is horrible to her co-workers.
