Not sure how ya screw up a Coldstone, but this place does. Been to quite a few in my time and this was the first time I was disappointed. Not sure if they have their freezers too cold, or what, but the strawberries tasted freezer burnt. The cone was also stale. This was one of the worst $12 I've ever spent and I even drove like 10 miles out of the way for it. Do better, please. read more

Super friendly staff who welcome you to this location when you walk in. I love Coldstone because there are a ton of options. I love that I can get additional mix-ins and they have unique combinations that already exist. I also enjoy the texture and sweetness of Coldstone's ice cream. They really could do me no wrong, lol. In the world of ice cream pricing, I would say it's pretty close to your local ice creameries. More expensive than Sonic for sure, but also much more delicious than fast food chains. read more

I think their website is extremely deceiving. I received a melty mess of yuck that I had to clean up and try to refreeze before giving up and throwing it away. They did refund my money, but I received a product still nowhere near what the website shows. The taste is also not near what it used to be. Full of chemicals. What you get compared to what the website says you get. Pretty pathetic. read more

My husband ordered an ice cream cake, strawberry to be specific, for my birthday. They had obviously messed up the writing, scraped it off and tried again, but they still messed it up. Not a big deal, but disappointing. The cake flavor was not great. The cake was super dry and the layers were off. One side of the cake had thick cake layers and barely any ice cream and the other side was a ton of ice cream and barely any cake. Since the cake was nasty half the family was pretty satisfied . DO you like ice cream! DO you like shakes? Then do I have the place for you! In all seriousness I love Cold Stone, especially for their Pistachio ice cream. It reminds me of the Pistachio ice cream I used to get when I was a kid in Germany. The employees at this location are always friendly and courteous, never had a problem with that what so ever. Sometimes it's a bit dirty inside, especially towards the end of the day in the summer. Can't blame them, they're getting an influx of people at the end of the day and can't clean. This location is one of my favorites. They generally are fully stocked! That's a rare thing with Cold Stone chains, at least, it has been in my experience. Depending on the time of day, there could be a long line. There were about 7 people waiting in line during my recent visit. The great thing was that they were staffed very well, six people were working. I ordered a custom creation with a chocolate waffle bowl. Delicious! The sweet cream is my favorite. Ask for samples if you are uncertain of which flavor you want. My friend ordered the Oreo overload, yum! Found this Cold Stone on the way home to Firestone, stopped w/ the family. Everything was delicious but unfortunately the newbie's don't do as well as their seasoned help. Some of us got great portions, thoroughly mixed and some of us, not so much. Fairly sure she was new, as I noticed she was looking at the ingredients. As I've passed this Cold Stone location many times, and it was really hot outside today, I finally decided to check it out. Come to think of it, I think this was my first visit at a Cold Stone store anywhere. I went with a small Mud Pie Mojo (ice cream with a coffee flavor, crushed Oreo cookies, and maybe a couple of other things) in a waffle bowl, and can definitely say that the portion was pretty big for being a small. Staff member was friendly. The only downfall was the price, $7.38. Ouch. Still recommended though. read more

I'm not able to have dairy and was glad that Aaron, the shift leader, was able to help me find suitable options. He was friendly and knowledgeable. I love ColdStone and have never had this issue until Thornton. This specific facility refuses to let me use chocolate cake as a mix-in. The first time I asked for choc cake the guy tried to get me to use brownies. Then eventually told me they were out of chocolate cake. I figured that was a possibility and reluctantly ordered something else. The next time I went in and asked they acted all awkward involving all the employees like it's an actual taboo thing to use chocolate cake as a mix-in. Isn't that an American staple (cake and ice cream)?! They were nice and offered me brownies and every other flavor of cake under the sun but wouldn't let me have chocolate cake. I'm an adult, so if there's a reason you're coveting your choc cake, just say so - don't make it all weird. As I frequent a lot of these places, it makes sense for me to join their loyalty clubs and accumulate points and also benefit from the annual free birthday email. I can then redeem those points for future visits. It just so happened that I received an email for a free item and I happily ventured forth to redeem at my local store. Upon entering, the store was empty and I only after a min or so I heard a faint voice coming from the back. A young girl come out and I asked her what I can get for the email that I received. I showed her the coupon on my phone, but she was dumbfounded as to what it was and proceeded to argue with me that the coupon was invalid and she was not going to honored it. Instead of helping my resolve this issue she insisted on arguing with me and tried to deflect and redirect my questions to "maybe you can go to another Coldstone location" and "the only thing I could do is give you is a BOGO". I was by myself and out shopping so even if I did get the BOGO, it would have melted and gone to waste. I asked for a manager, but she was the only person on the premises and gave me the owners phone number. After I left the store, I called the owner and explained the horrible experience that I had received. The owner apologized and instructed me to return to the store to finally get what I had originally went to there to get in the first place. I doubt that after many years of loyal patronage that ill be returning to this location any time soon, if at all. read more

Went into my old stomping grounds was excited for the ice cream as I brought my family in. I like going in a tipping big to hear the songs I used to sing haha. I was told that the owner/GM don't allow them to sing anymore....what!?!?! I sang all the time and was one of the biggest tip makers when I worked there along with Kevin! So one of the guys who served my family sang he didn't have a voice from what he said poor guy! So he sang horribly anyways. So I tipped that young man 50$ while the others ran to the back because they didn't want any part of that. I told him pick a number between 1 and 10 he said 5 so I gave him 50. THIS LOCATAION IS NOT UP TO PAR WITH CDC GUIDLINES FOR CLEANLINESS AND DISINFECTION! My wife and I came into this location 2/13/21. We were asked to put our masks on by an employee, so we complied with the request. As we moved through the process of ordering, we noticed that the customer in front of us paid with cash. Employees are wearing latex gloves, received cash from customer, gave change in bills and coins, and continued with making ice cream without changing gloves after touching the cash and change. Secondly, we paid with a credit card. There is a touch screen kiosk you proceed with your checkout when you use a card. Two customers have already used this kiosk and there was no disinfecting of the kiosk station after everyone else in the store has touched it. Not only that, we were handed spoons by the employee with the same gloves used to receive the cash from the previous customer. From the rants and raves I expected more I guess. We walked in and the place was super busy so in essence that does tell you alot of good things in a sense. Fascinated with the amount of ice cream and toppings and so forth, I almost needed not to eat any of it rather by looking at it was enough to raise my blood sugar, but when it came to eating it, I was kind of disappointed. The ice cream at Coldstone is just the best. It's extremely creamy and rich, even their plain vanilla. Go for one of their signature creations and you'll say "Wow" a couple of times. One thing I don't understand is their pricing model. The volume difference between the small, medium and large cups is as you would expect, but the prices only go up in $.15 increments, which pushes you to buy the large (waaaay too much ice cream - it will feed three people), which is good for the customer but not the store. I don't get it. The staff is friendly, but you are in Northglenn so the customers (and their bratty kids) are definitely more rude and obnoxious than you're used to. It's not the easiest place to get in and out of, but it's just off the highway so it's decently located if you're craving something sweet and you're heading out of town. read more

Disappointing. We have been visiting this Cold Stone Creamery for many years (12, I think). We stopped coming here about a year ago because we noticed the inconsistency in the delivery of the product had gotten worse. Decided to give it another shot because the ice cream is SOO good. Today, my husband and I both ordered "gotta have it" Coffee Lovers Only and Peanut Butter Perfection. In my Coffee Lovers Only, I got a small "squirt" of caramel, 3/4 scoop of almonds, 3/4 scoop of Heath candy bar (notice, not even a full scoop). Interesting that a large gets the same amount as a small. My $8.20 ice cream cup did not even hit the top of the cup. Too expensive to be this inconsistent. read more
