This bakery had the best curry bun I've ever eaten in my life! My family drove up from Colorado Springs just to eat here and it was 1000% worth it. This has to be the best Japanese bakery I've been to. Every single item we tried was delicious and perfectly baked, but the standouts were the curry bun (incredible flavor!) and the chestnut cake (light as air!). The custard was so delicious, the buns were all so light and fluffy, and the staff were incredibly nice and helpful. I can't say enough good things. You would never expect it from the location and the exterior but this is a lovely little Japanese bakery. They have flavorful buns both sweet and savory as well as many other baked goods that you would hope to get at a bakery like this. I have to immediately jump to the beef curry bun. It comes warm and it is super flavorful. It is now hard to think about going back here without picking up this bun. I know they had a vegetarian curry bun when I was there too but I have yet to try it. I also tried the passionfruit mochi donut and thought it was the best mochi donut I have had. The fruit flavor was perfectly sweet and tart and the mochi was chewy without being unyielding. I have not gone back to try their drinks but I know they have a menu for coffees and teas. They also have a punch card system so make sure you save that when you go and make purchases. It is a small location and they might be a bit busy but they always are going fast. It's a small place that's quite easy to find. I saw the reviews and had to try it. The workers didn't seem to know textures, I asked whether the cakes were sponge-like and the employee looked at me like I'm crazy, and kept repeating sponge? What do you mean sponge? I mean... that is how I'd describe the texture. It's not an unusual world when describing cakes. Anyway, the tiramisu slice was pretty good, the coconut mango was meh. They also have fresh coffee, so it's great to come for breakfast or an afternoon pick-me-up. This place reminds me of a smaller version of the Tokyo Premium Bakery in Denver. If you've ever been there, you'll probably know they have a bigger selection of Japanese pastries and buns. This one, though, has a much bigger selection of cakes -- and they're good as hell, too! This bakery makes some of the best cakes I've ever had. They really remind me of the cakes I had when I was younger. The cake is light and spongy like angel food cake. The frosting is whipped and not so heavy on the sugar and filled with fruit in between the layers and on top. We love it so much we've ordered from their multiple times. What a nice surprise this was. I came here to get my dad's bday cake. We ordered the Raspberry Mouse Cake. It was smooth and creamy and you could definitely taste the raspberry. The cake portion was smooth also thank goodness as sometimes it can turn out dry. It was not overlly sweet either. They have variety or cakes and breads, I wanna try everything. Every Wednesday they have Bento boxes, every week it is different. They have two different sizes regular or large. this week it was stuffed cabbage rolls were very savory and i loved the sauce that came with it. You get steamed veges and fruit with it. So happy to have found this Japanese style bakery up north! I ordered a steamed pork bun, a beef curry bun, a vanilla custard filled malasada, and a bag of their milk bread. Everything was tasty but there were just a some small technical issues with a couple items. The pork bun was good, although it should probably be labeled as a pork and mushroom steamed bun. Luckily, I like mushrooms, but I have friends who don't and would not have liked that surprise. The steamed bun itself was a bit sticker than I'm used to so it stuck to the inside of the bag they placed it in and when I tried to remove the layer of paper on the bottom, it peeled off the entire bottom layer of the bun. The beef curry bun was tasty once I removed the super soggy bottom layer off. The rest of the bun was crisp on the outside with a soft, pillowy interior and lots of filling. The malasada was dreamy, but I am begging you to add a red bean filled malasada to your menu! I will definitely be back to try more things read more

Love this place and I wish this bakery is closer to home. The matcha tiramisu is light and slightly sweet. It had the perfect amount of matcha in the cake. I like this better than the original tiramisu. My toddler loved it so much she ate 2 slices. The custard bun is also very delicious, it would be perfect if there were more custard inside. My favorite is the curry bun, it is very similar to the curry bun ( sans oyster) I had in Miyajima Island, Japan. Personally, the almond croissant was lacking almond flavor. The Coronavirus moved the party to a virtual setting, but I wasn't going to compromise on the quality of the cake. I grew up in Hawaii, accustomed to Japanese cakes and desserts. Japanese cakes are airy and light; the frosting has a whipped cream base and is less sweet than traditional buttercream. I was determined to find the perfect cake. After reading many reviews, I e-mailed The Enchanted Oven and Rod quickly responded. He was extremely communicative throughout the ordering process. I am not a fan of colored frosting so Rod suggested strawberries in the middle for a girl and blueberries in the middle for a boy. Perfect!! The cake was delicious and reminiscent of my childhood. I'm so happy I finally got a chance to try this Japanese bakery. A bit of a drive from Denver but so worth it. The croissants are simply divine, buttery & flaky and baked perfectly. The fruit & custard tarts were delish and the fried curry bun is as good as the ones I find at the best Japanese bakeries in Chicago. Unfortunately, they sell out pretty fast unless you get there early in the morning. Their baked mochi cakes were very good too. The only thing that I didn't care for was the pumpkin creme brulee which were a bit too liquidy and not smooth in texture. Being half Japanese, I love to see Japanese and Asian bakeries in Colorado. Thanks to these bakeries, I can conveniently get some of the delicious sweets I grew up with. The Enchanted Oven does a great job with their baked goods, no doubt about it. Customer service was a little off though. It seemed like most of the people behind the counter didn't know what they were doing. We asked for a bottle of water and paid for it. They said it'd be right up. We waited and waited. The people behind the counter huddled over the cash register screen and whispered to each other. Finally, one of them said that we could have any of their other bottled drinks because they didn't have bottled water. We asked if we could just get a cup of tap water from them instead. More whispering ensued. One of them finally said, we can give you a refund for the bottle of water and then give you a cup of tap water. It took them a while to figure out how to do this and then to also get the cup of water itself. It was quite the ordeal! It was well worth the wait, and not a problem for me, but I think if there's any room for improvement it could be with customer service. read more
