Two words that I love together...Funnel...and Cake. I was watching TV with my Bro-In-Law and a commercial came up for Cold Stone showing a brand spanking new Funnel Cake sundae. Funnel Cakes are a sensitive issue to me because the only place you can get them is at amusement parks. So if I want to enjoy a deep fried thing that looks like a bird nest, I have to pay 50+ dollars for admission first. My FCCPY(Funnel Cakes Consumed Per Year) is 2.0, way too low for for me. The commercial excited me and I imagined diving into one immediately. We bring the family to Cold Stone with one goal in mind..Funnel Cake Sundae. It was raining that night, but the rain could not damper my desire for this sundae. I step in line and order and the conversation went like this: "Yes I would like a Funnel Cake Sundae....to go." The last two words would be my downfall. "Sir, those sundaes can't be taken...to go." "What do you mean?" "We don't have a To-Go box that will fit that type of Sundae." "So, I have to eat it here?" Eating there was out of the question, Wifey and baby were waiting in the car outside and it was raining outside. There was no way I could scarf this thing down while wifey and baby waited outside in the car. Slowly the rain outside started to rain on my heart. I ordered something but it wasn't what I came for. I don't even remember what I ordered, it was that unmemorable. That night still bothers me today and I haven't been back since. We have the technology to put a man on the moon...to send our friends and family virtual mail...to fly to distant lands...but man has not yet created a box that can be used to take a Funnel Cake Sundae home. In general I feel its over priced but if you get that combo that fits your needs/wants then it's surely delicious and will hit the spot. I only recommend this place if you're really really craving ice cream and happened to be in the area. The customer service is hit and miss. Some workers are really friendly and prompt while others are the opposite. One time the person who was helping me said I'd have to wait 5 minutes which I did... plus 5 more... plus 5 more. Then I see the same person about to leave out the door, we made eye contact, then she turned around and quickly returned to the staff area. Seemed like she was hiding back there while the other worker finished my order which took another 5 minutes and to my disappoint she gave the smallest scoop of ice cream I've ever gotten from there. It was about half the size of what others have given :( There was a generous amount of whip cream, which was nice but I would've still liked the regular amount of ice cream. The second person thanked me for waiting but I never heard from the first one. If it wasn't for the amazing taste of Cake Batter Ice cream, I would never go here and give CSC a 0 rating. This place is so dirty. It's ran by a bunch of teenagers who complete lack customer service skills. And the manager shit talks his employees in front of customers! Also, I wonder what the standard amount of add-ins per size is actually supposed to be. They are so cheap with three add-ins it's incredible !! No matter what size "Founders Favorite" I get, they only put 1 brownie. Very poorly chopped mixed. So I typically only get tiny crumbs Throughout my ice creams and then one big chunk at the very bottom of the bowl. Just an overall terrible experience. I come here at least once a week if not more and for the most part it's good. Today there was a huge hair in my boyfriends ice cream and when I went back the girl behind the counter started rolling her eyes at me... like it was your mistake. Then I'm waiting to get a refund and the girl comes back and says she can't give me one because she can't "access the register" I guess I have dumb written on my forehead.. but she said can give me "a free one next time" so I asked for a receipt stating that I have a free ice cream and she was refusing to give me a certificate or any form of paper stating that I have a free ice cream. Terrible service! Disgusting and the place even has roaches. With the service the workers don't even seem to make any effort to make ordering your ice cream friendly or comfortable and then when they try to upsell you to a bigger size, I don't even think so. They are rude when they talk to you while handling your order and I don't even think would even give any consideration to sing for a tip. Like they usually do. Next, the place. The floors are dirty, their place for making the ice cream for me was still littered with top on's and ice cream residue from the last order. And there was a horrible burnt smell in the kitchen. I was about to sit down but I found that my table and chair was not clean and still sticky with ice cream. Last the roaches. This was the final straw. As I was about to leave a roach was skittering across the countertop where they showcase the toppings. I was shocked and when I told the young man at the register that he has roaches, he told me he's seen them and they've been around for awhile. How long is awhile?! When you go to Cold Stone, you're expecting friendly service and ice cream. This Cold Stone did not have the friendliest service. They even charge for a simple water cup. Charging for water is always just a major turn off for me. I can understand charging non customers but not customers who are paying $5 for some ice cream. I got a simple Like It with a single mix in. I chose the Sugar Cookie Batter Ice Cream, which is really good, with a Twix mix in. The server barely filled the cup and there was barely any Twix pieces mixed in. I ordered my cake online 12/9 & I needed it for 12/16 (A WHOLE WEEK LATER) & the day of I sent my boy friend to pick the cake up & turns out the didn't make it!! Why? i honestly had the worst experience here. i walk in and non of the employees welcomed us in. the employees were cussing to eachother and bashing customers before i us right in front of us. one of them had long nails and they were constantly wearing gloves. the cold stone it self was not clean there was toppings from previous orders. the workers were rude and took forever to help us. when i walked in there were two groups of people in front of me and i was in there for 20 minutes before being helped because they were too busy making cakes. when i was finally helped i walked out with a half melted ice cream the was put in the cup so sloppy. i just was so unhappy with it especially since it is so expensive for a small thing. read more

Went in yesterday to get a nice treat as I love cold stone (haven't been to this location in a while). Walked into the store where 3 workers are there and I tell the girl my order and she asks me again what one I wanted. I told her again and she looked super nervous and looked at her co workers who ignored her, she then walked over to where I assume they have a list of what goes into what i cream. I got a "gotta have it" and then a "everybodys " tub to have for when me and my house gets a sweet tooth. It was supposed to be Peanut Butter cup perfection and my tub of ice cream is mostly chocolate ice cream with very little peanut butter sauce and the gotta have it cup maybe had equivalent to 2 1/2 scoops of ice cream and mostly chocolate ice cream as well. Was in there for probably 30-40 mins and left more than disappointed. The girl asked her coworker a question when making my ice cream and she seemed to blow her off. Then she hands me the bag and tells me to have a nice day without even getting payment from me. Luckily I am nice and asked her if she forgot to charge me. $21 wasted. read more

I was there with my family last Friday night with a gift card I had received, those two girls were working as hard as they could they get 5 stars! The problem is not enough HELP, I wonder if the owner/manager realizes that every customer is not just getting a scoop of ice cream thats too simple, each order is customized everything has to be blended per order. 5 or 10 minutes per person to complete there order and collect payment. The line is 6 or 7 people long be ready to receive your scoop of ice cream in 35-55 minutes after walking in that door. I literally watched two other family's get out of line and walk out! read more

My family enjoys their ice cream but today was just not a good day. The ice cream itself when we finally did get it was good but the service was so horrid. I ordered two family packs online and had sent my son to pick it up. Should be a simple in and out thing (especially now with the COVID situation). Told him what to expect: 2 orders each containing 2 separate pints of ice cream and 2 separate mix ins and 1 waffle bowl (total of 4 pints and 4 mix ins + the waffle bowl) My son comes home with only two pints and a waffle bowl telling me that the cashier said that was the order. So now I'm upset and I have to go back with him. I get there and have to wait until someone can finally help me. I tell the girl what I received and she tells me she spoke to her manager and this is what I get. (Oh no it isn't.) I had to show her pictures online and explain to her "how is what you gave me supposed to feed 4-5 people?". She calls her manager and they finally straighten it up. (She was mistaken, I was right.) Service was so bad and in the end we still did not actually receive what we ordered. No compensation for all the trouble caused and actually took the original waffle bowl from the other bag and put it in a new bag for me. These kids (no offense to kids who work) but these particular girls need better training with regards to customer service and what they serve. They actually looked confused when I had to tell them what it is I ordered and how to supply it. I have to agree with the comments regarding the servers at this establishment :( read more

Our cashier prepared our ice cream, touched the screen, took our credit card all without gloves or no hand washing. She kept on removing her mask too while talking to us. VERY disappointed with this location. Came in tonight with my husband and son, ordered two ice creams, and handed over my debit card. The cashier then looked at me and told me that they aren't accepting debit or credit cards and that it is posted on the door. Actually, there is a small sign on the door that is not even eye level. There are also at least 2 other signs that have various other information outside of the door. The only thing being accepted is cash or gift card. There was no sign at the register or warning beforehand that debit or credit cards were not being accepted. It would have been nice to get a warning. A small sign as you enter, that is not even eye level, is not sufficient. So, I had to disappoint my 2 year old and leave empty handed, AFTER my ice cream had been made up. Ridiculous. read more

Great Ice Cream. I got chocolate with caramel mixed in with heath. My daughter got cotton candy with sprinkles. Their customer service though. HORRIBLE. I know these teens that serves us probably hate their job. There horrible customer service and unpleasant attitude shows.
