When i walked in the store i walked by this worker who had a strong smell of men's deodorant and a mix of cigarettes. This caused problems with my asthma when I left the establishment she was wearing all black she had a darker complexion she was a bit heavier. I don't think cold-stone shouldn't be hiring people with terrible hygiene I believe they need to imply that more on the employees. The service is alright could be better needs better employees rules need to be enforced at this place especially having good hygiene no one would want to go into an ice cream shop smelling cigarettes. Just a heads up for my warriors and their families out there, this location no longer has military discounts. While there is nothing wrong with the ice cream, we're extremely disappointed that this store stopped the discounts. This place is kind of nasty. We stopped in for some ice cream. (Why else?) There must have been a dozen people behind the counter, and it appeared their main activity was bumping into each other. When it was finally our turn to order, we asked for three things, a cone and a couple of shakes. It took 10 minutes to get them. Here's a tip if you should go there and want to get your order handed to you a bit faster. If there are several of you, even if only two, even if you are Siamese twins, act as if each item is a separate order. That way, you'll have individuals working on each item (when they're not bumping into other workers) instead of having a single person getting jostled about as they prepare each item one at a time. And what's with the masks? Either wear them or don't. Serving food with a mask under your nose isn't doing much to keep others or yourself healthy. Cold stone is unbeatable. Nothing like walking into a cold stone, looking at all the ice cream flavors and toppings available to mix into your ice cream, and then making your creation. There toppings from heath bar to Reese's peanut butter cups to marshmallows, sprinkles and chocolate chips. This cold stone in particular was extremely speedy. My kids and I have always loved Cold Stone, but, with so many mom and pop ice cream shops around it's been a while since we'd been to Cold Stone. Sadly, not sure we'll be in a rush to get back. We arrived at Cold Stone about 30 minutes before they were set to close. First thing I noticed - they used to sing as soon as you entered the building....well, not anymore I guess. Okay...that's fine...but then my kids and I stood there and watched all of the employees scurry around to clean up and shut down for the night and not one asked us if they could help us. So I guess breaking down for the night takes priority over helping customers?! I finally had to ask if someone could help and one of the employees grudgingly came over to help. She took our order and slapped it around on the ice slab like she had an attitude that she had to help us. We left with what amounted to 4 orders of slop...the toppings weren't even mixed in well. The ice cream and service at this location is amazing! The portions are generous, the ingredients are fresh and the staff is gracious. BUT time must be taken to clean the shop. There's was a distinct smell when I walked in the door. The floors need to be scrubbed, the old tattered COVID "stand here" and directional stickers need to be removed from the floors, the glass covering over the ingredients needs to be cleaned, door handles, countertops etc. Perhaps it's a short staff, perhaps overtime should be paid to existing staff. I purchased an ice cream cake - there were many more ready made options for immediate take and go then I expected. The cake was for 15 people - everyone was surprised at how good it tasted; it was fresh and on-point. The estimated number of servings I was told the cake would provide was right on. Great ice cream, a cold stone - slop ice cream on stone, spread yummy ingredients on top of ice cream, fold ice cream over ingredients (fruit, nuts, brownies or yellow cake, etc), mix and serve! There was a long line on Friday night and the crew there worked hard. They still managed to greet everyone who walked in the door. Ive gone to this cold stone 3 times and every time is absurd. I tried to give it another chance but I can't excuse them messing up my order 3 times now. The first time the wrong ice cream flavor. The second time the wrong topping. And now when u specifically told them that I was semi- allergic to cinnamon. I was given snickerdoodle ice cream instead of banana. Which contains cinnamon. All these times I wasn't not able to take it back as I didn't realize till later. I will not make this mistake again. read more

I love coming to this Cold Stone location. The service is usually quick (if there is not much of a line) and the ice cream is usually good! My favorite sweet creation they have is the Birthday Cake Remix! Yum! At my most recent visit to Cold Stone, I was a bit disappointed with the consistency of the ice cream. I tried the "Cheesecake Fantasy" for the first time and I had high hopes for it, but the consistency of the ice cream was a bit thin. It tasted like store bought ice cream from a local Wal-Mart or something. Usually the consistency is very rich and creamy and thick, but for some reason the cheesecake ice cream they used was a lot thinner than usual. Maybe it's just that particular flavor that was made this way, or maybe they didn't churn it enough. The waffle cone that I got was also a bit stale. I LOVE COLDSTONE! Their ice cream is nuts! Usually, after mixing all that crazy nonsense into the ice cream, you are left with a cup of magical joy. The girls who work at the Woodbridge Coldstone are the most lethargic, lackluster and unenthusiastic coldstoners i have ever see. Besides the one girl with the pink in her hair that seemed to be running the whole shop and who had to keep apologizing for the slowness of the other two girls, barely anything was getting done. The idea of the "cold stone" is it keeps the ice cream frozen while stuff gets mixed in. In order for the consistency of the ice cream to maintain, this needs to be a quick process. The girl mixing mine was walking around like she just ran a marathon and was battling exhaustion. By the time mine was mixed and in the cup, it was nearly at milkshake consistency. Same problem with my wife's. Next, I choose to pay with a ColdStone gift card. The girl looks at it and says, "I can't run this." She then yells for the pink hair girl to come do it. Meanwhile, pink-hair is working on a birthday cake and my ice cream is melting. I have now eaten over half my cup, my wife's cup is now ice cream soup and I still haven't paid. Come on ColdStone! They always have a flavour I crave and I never leave without tipping because the staff is always as sweet as cream ^ ^. I'm not sure why so many other people seem to have bad experiences, maybe I just go at a different time of day or only went on a super busy awful day? I'd say it's absolutely worth trying again because some of the staff really is the cherry on top to my experience there! Cold stone has amazing ice cream. They mix all the toppings in right in front of you which is interesting to watch. There are some cool flavors to choose from that you won't find everywhere. They have three different personal size bowls, your typical cones, or if you're really into whatever you created you can get grocery store sizes. They are more expensive than regular ice cream shops but it's great for a "treat yourself" moment. This particular location I like because they keep it nice and clean. I love ColdStone and typically service is great but I have to give this place 1 star, here's why. I came in on the 26th of May at about 9PM. This is a typically busy time, when arrived there was 11 customers ahead of me and before I left there was another 12 behind me. So very busy. From my count, there was 6 employees dressed in the black outfits with the black apron; ie: 6 people who's number 1 job is to take a customer's order and then fill that order. Of all the 6 employees there, only 1 was taking orders. One specific employee was very adamantly restocking items that were low, but not out (spoons, bowls, lids, etc). The other 4 workers literally seemed to be walking back and forth in a passive manner to avoid taking orders. I'm just very confused how an ice cream shop, who's income is from customers who order ice cream then has 6 employees on deck, ready to fill those orders. Yet only 1 of the 6 are taking orders and the line is to the door. unacceptable. read more

On 04/23/2022 on or about 8:45pm. Me and my wife went to order some ice cream. One of the workers was cursing and bullying another employee behind the counter. The employee how was cursing and bulling the other employee is an African Americain male with tattoos and braids. He was cursing at another employee. That employee is Spanish and wearing glasses. I then asked to speak to a manager. I spoke to a young lady name Shay. I told her about the behavior of the employee who was cursing and making a fool of himself in the store behind the counter. I asked Shay (store Manager) for a regional manager contact information. She told me to hold on, she then called the employee I was completing about to her in the back office. Shay told that employee that I was complaining about him. The employee came out of the back office and stood behind the counter and addressed me in an unprofessional manor. In front of my wife, he stated are we good in a threating manor, I then stated I'm good, because I felt the employee was going to start a fight in front of my wife. Shay never came back out to give me the information I asked for, me and my wife left the store. I then called the store back at 9:00pm and asked to speak to a manager. I then spoke to Christopher Rivera, he stated he is the manager of the store. I told him about the incident and he stated the incident is between the two employees. I then told him I felt threaten by the employee who came to confront me after he talked to Shay. Manager Christopher Rivera then started questing me as to why I felt threaten by the employee. I stated to Mr. Rivera that the employee should have never confronted me in the store. I spoke to his manager Shay, I don't know why Shay told the employee who I was. Mr. Rivera then stated " I worked with the employee for two years and he would not have fought you in the store". It seems to me Mr. Rivera is a friend of the employee and wanted to not deal with the complaint. I then ask Mr. Rivera if I can have a Regional Mangers information so I can file a written compliant. Mr. Rivera the stated, he is the only manager I could talk to because the Cold Stone is a franchised and he is in charge of what goes in the store. He then stated there was no other person to talk but him about the complaint. Mr. Rivera didn't give me any information of a Regional Manager or anyone above him to file a written complaint. Before Leaving the store, my wife spoke to the employee who was cursed at in the store. The employee told my wife, he was joking with one of the employees in the store and the other employee who was cursing at him was the friend of the employee he was joking with. He doesn't know why the guy was cursing at him in the store. Other people in the store was just as shocked at how this employee was acting. The store manger name Shay was at the front counter and didn't stop the employee from cursing the other employee in the store. This behavior is unprofessional from the employee behavior to the store Manager not correcting the employee's behavior. read more

YUM! Fast service & the most delicious ice cream. I'm not a fan of coffee ice cream normally but it is awesome here. Very good if you get the coffee lovers. The chocolate ice cream is not very chocolately at all though. I like a much richer chocolate taste so this is a bit on the weak side. I am from NC and when it comes to milkshakes the only places to go are Cookout first then Cold Stone. So living here Cookout isn't an option unless I drive to Fredericksburg which is 45 minutes without traffic and since moving here in 2016 that's only 25% of the time so I hardly go. I've gone to this place several times after I ate at Chipotle. The ice cream was always soft. The staff often starts singing as loud as they can sing which really turns me off. The manager admits that singing is part of the WONDERFUL atmosphere, an atmosphere I can do without. As for the soft ice cream he said I needed to tell the staff to get the ice cream from in the back where it is harder. I said I'll get harder ice cream by going someplace else, not Cold Stone Creamery. I would rather drive to Moo Thru and get their MUCH better ice cream. read more
