He also said the unit would only work in fan mode because of the refrigerant issue and claimed that the water in the metal drain pan was caused by the problem. His solution was to sell me a new central air conditioning system for almost $9,500. He even wanted to reuse the existing copper lines and evaporator without offering any warranty. The truth is that there was no refrigerant leak. I reset the system myself, turned it back on, and it has been working normally for the past three days without any problems. This experience left me very disappointed. It seemed like the technician was more interested in selling an expensive new system than properly diagnosing the issue. He never proved there was a leak. To make matters worse, he did not even bring a ladder. As the customer, I had to keep handing him my own ladder. He used a vacuum to remove the water from the metal drain pan but left water all over my floor, and I had to clean up the mess myself after he left. A reputable company should have technicians who are properly trained, professional, and able to support their diagnoses with evidence. Customers deserve honest inspections, accurate explanations, and ethical service--not expensive recommendations that cannot be justified. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company.

I've had multiple companies work on the same house, and it still wasn't running correctly until a simpler, more experienced solution was applied. You don't want inexperienced technicians guessing or experimenting on your system. You want someone knowledgeable who's been doing this work for a long time. Ask questions, challenge repair recommendations, and require that they put it in writing that they've correctly diagnosed the issue and that the repair will fix the problem. There's no reason you can't ask for that before approving the work.
