    Picture is as far as it will recline.

    If there's anything wrong with your furniture, the process to get it repaired is a nightmare. If it is not something that can be fixed immediately you will wait and wait and wait for parts. My furniture was picked up twice and taken to their shop and both times returned with the issue not fixed. In fact when it came back the second time it was actually worse. Neither side of the couch would recline. It has now been six months and I am still waiting for the repair to be completed. I have asked if they could just swap it out with a new piece and that is not their process, but with the amount of time they have wasted back-and-forth it doesn't make sense. So every month I make my payment on my account for a piece of furniture that does not work as it's intended. I will never buy another piece of furniture from Colders.

    Repair upholstery... six chairs are horrible, and the cushions are sinking again

    2022 we purchased a beautiful dining room table and hutch. Six months later, the cushion sink and all the six chairs.. we were still under warranty and they came out and replaced the six cushions. A year later those cushions sink in again, but we were no longer under warranty, Colders recommend their repair company, Deborah Anderson Ray. The wife Deborah and husband Ray came into our home and replaced the cushions.. they did a horrible job, including repairing the chairs in our dining room and living room, and I had a lot of lint and materials to pick up after they left. I was so devastated. I refused to pay the full amount of $900.00. I'm disputing the rest of their lousy job of repair with my charge card.

    I had a great experience from the ease of ordering my chosen washing machine to the delivery. Every employee was helpful and kind. It came 30 minutes into my delivery window, they installed it and were out in less than 20 minutes. I highly recommend Colder's for the total experience.

If you're mattress shopping you need to know that you more or less get what you pay for. Cheap mattresses aren't cheap in the long run if you count in lower back pain and lost quality sleep. But you don't have to overpay for better quality mattresses if you avoid the furniture stores and the furniture departments in department stores. This is also one area where you're not going to be able to get a better deal online. I've tried all three of these options. The furniture and department stores never give you the information you need to actually comparison shop, they have overly complex intentionally confusing price packages and discounts on inflated prices with different names on specific mattresses from both big name and smaller name manufacturers. Save yourself time and frustration, avoid these places for mattresses, even if you're furnishing a whole bedroom. Your only best bet is to shop at mattress only stores, a very strange niche market. There's two choices the way I see it, based on spending way too much time on this. There is Mattress Firm, with helpful sales people, good showrooms with lots of choices, good prices, and generally good delivery. It's going to be hard to compare directly because HassleLess will have very comparable mattresses made by the same manufacturers with different names. I think there is less hassle (really) and slightly lower prices at HassleLess than at Mattress Firm, but I really think the thing to do is to go to both places before buying. And either way, get the very best mattress you can afford, it's a 10 year commitment to take care of your body for 8 hours a day.

There are pieces that definitely cover style, comfort and durability. However, it's difficult to find a piece that has everything within the budget you may have set for yourself. That being said, there are plenty of options for those who have a little or a lot to spend. And while I didn't find a sofa that spoke to me at that time, I found myself here again, a few years later, looking for a mattress. And this time I did give them all my money. There was a very patient gentleman who put up with me for at least an hour while I tried all the mattresses that fit my criteria, and then while I waffled between my two favorites. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. He didn't steer me directly to the most expensive mattress, I found that myself. However it's not the one I chose. I picked the second most expensive one lol I hate shopping, my back chronically hurts from an injury, and the mattress I liked the best alleviated some of that pain. The checkout process was easy. I qualified for a credit card I didn't need, but it allows me to pay off the purchase at my leisure instead of immediately. The delivery was great too. After a couple weeks we had a call to schedule, followed up on the morning of, received a text when they were on the way, and after the delivery was completed. The gentlemen who removed the old mattress set and installed the new one were very professional. I work from home and they barely made a sound. They were respectful of my property and quick. I didn't feel the need to shop around, most places have the same stock and comparable prices. I like BiltRite and was happy with my experience. The mattress has been a lifesaver for me as I don't wake up in intense pain every morning. I find that my experiences over almost 20 years with this store have been pleasant and no pressure. And the fact that I'm not here every other year to replace something is a testament to quality which i appreciate.

I just wish they gave you more time for pick up. I had to wait 3 months, and they gave me 3 days. Don't choose delivery unless you're all for the convenience. They charge based on how expensive your order is. My sectional was over $2000 and they wanted $270 for delivery...pass. I rented a uhaul and picked it up no problem. Fast forward to 2 weeks ago when I went into the store to checkout counter stools. I found some that I liked but went home to make sure that's what I wanted. I ordered them online the next day. Then I got a text saying I could call about my order details. I called (this was Sunday) and they told me I could pickup anytime next week Monday after 2pm. I went there that next week Monday at 3pm to pick them up and they told me the stools weren't there and that they aren't even in the truck yet. I told them that someone over the phone told me I could get them today. She said no, you'll get a text saying they're ready for pickup and have to schedule a time. I was real irritated. Waste of my time. Blew off 2 separate plans to go do that after work. Then of course 2 days later is when I get that text. I went back in there, pickup was no issue. We got home and had to assemble the chair legs etc and one of the legs was missing a "foot". It sucked but we had a quick solution. Then I notice the feet are scratching my floor so bad. So... we pried all the feet out of the legs and put pads on instead. Problem solved. I rate a 3 because the stuff I've bought from them is nice quality- I love both the stools and sectional. But the foot issue with the stool really irked me and so did the pickup miscommunication. I plan to order a new area rug from them too soon so I hope I don't have any more issues.

I paid the $100 for delivery and the day before delivery I was told it was not ready and I had to schedule out another 1-2 weeks. I requested a refund to my delivery fee as their part of the deal was not upheld. I was told to call customer service where they went back and fourth with me for 20 minutes saying all they could give me was $23 off. I've never dealt with such poor customer service.

After experiencing some frustration looking at several other stores (Steinhafels, PM Bedroom, Ashley, etc), which typically had very limited bunk bed selections to begin with, we started looking through manufacturer's web sites, and through the Powell Furniture web site, we found an intriguing entry for a store called Bunks and Beds. We used to live a few blocks away from there, in Heritage Village, yet we couldn't picture the place. But sure enough, we stopped by, and there it was... it's a fairly large store dedicated to mostly bunks and beds, and other children's bedroom goodies. The main problem with the place is that it seems to be very low-key. We had a heck of a time finding it on the Web (had to ask for their web site, Google couldn't find it). As former residents of the area, it had never stood out to us. Yet the store is everything you could ask for... and it looks like it might be a family business, at that. They had a great selection of bunk beds. Several times larger than any other furniture store that we visited. Of course, since they had almost nothing else but, that makes sense. They haven't bothered with fancy pseudo-room layouts, which suits me just fine, and instead have crammed their showroom full of different types of beds. The salespeople kept themselves available, yet were not annoyingly "in our face," an experience that was refreshing after some of the other furniture stores. It is rare to walk into a store, be greeted, say "Hi" and "Just looking", and not be bothered every few minutes thereafter (I *do* *not* want to talk to salespeople most of the time). We didn't find the Powell Rustica All-in-one unit that we had been looking for, but they had a very similar unit by Raymond, and not only was it less expensive ($1300ish vs $1800ish), they also had a "tax rebate sale" on, and we ended up getting the unit for about $950 - almost half what we had been expecting. We did have one problem. The bunk ladder came without hooks that should have been included. Recognizing that the unit was sourced from China, we simply made a pair out of heavy duty L brackets. We've been quite pleased with them, and hope to maybe do a little more business with them in the future.
