My valentine's arrangement died six days after receiving... very disappointing, the service was great though.

This is my first time ordering flowers from Colleen's shop. I'm from out-of-state and ordering flowers online is always a gamble. With an option to have the shop create a unique blend of petals and greens, I chose that option. My only input was noted that my daughter loves peonies, roses and daisies ~ design away! My daughter absolutely loves the arrangement. I highly recommend Colleen's Flower Shop. They are professional, fast and reasonably priced. Thank you to all of the staff for making this such a happy experience. *I thank the whole staff because I had a goof up with the address - emailed the shop to request a fix - so quickly expedited, and soon after I received an email confirmation letting me know that everything was good-to-go. Unprofessional and poor customer service. After spending $500 plus dollars over the past few years at this business, I expected better customer service. Failing to deliver a $250 floral arrangement to a funeral home 2 miles away from your business before the start of the service is unacceptable. To also tell me it was my fault as you couldn't find a specific drop off time on my order was insulting and showed your lack of professionalism. In addition to my order, it was brought to my attention you received two other floral requests for the SAME recipient and funeral service, which were successfully delivered prior to the start of the service. Yet, somehow, my order drop of time was a mystery? Coleen, while I appreciate the deliver fee ($12) refund you offered, I really should've been fully refunded or at the very least, 1/2 refunded. The funeral director was appalled and will not be recommending you going forward. I've added the florist's response to my review below. Cementing my choice to use another local florist going forward. Apparently, even if you give a delivery time, they don't care. Perfection. ---- Florist's Response: Hello, we appreciate your use of us over the past year and we sincerely apologize for the situation you experienced. Unfortunately, if an order was placed online without a delivery time specified and even in the case of a specified delivery time, we are unable to guarantee said delivery time unless contacted prior. That information is stated on our website upon checkout, but moving forward we will make that information even more accessible to prevent any further miscommunication . Furthermore, the other arrangements that were delivered prior to yours stated a time and had a different first name listed as the recipient, so among the amount of orders we make in a day it was unfortunately missed, which we again apologize for. As for the refund, we still delivered the arrangement to the new location that you requested within a timely manner, hence why we didn't issue a full refund. If you requested for us not to deliver the arrangement anymore, then we would have issued a full refund. Again, we sincerely apologize and value all our customer's opinions greatly. This place definitely is a gem. It's second to Winston's in my book. If you're going to get something in the middle price bracket, this place can really create amazing arrangements. The only complaint I have...is what they do with big spenders that are sending "I'm really sorry" flowers. I had one of those boyfriend's, and the arrangements were borderline scary. Really over did the fillers in two of them...so I rearranged them in order to make them look better. Ha! I've definitely gotten arrangements here that are unique and lovely with orchids and beautiful balance of shape and texture...but I've also gotten hideous hotel lobby worthy arrangements... I'm a little miffed at Coleen's Flower shop, especially in light of the really great work they've gone for us before. I'm cursed with having a birthday right around Mother's Day. In a few years when I have kids, I'm sure I'll get attention stiffed by my kids and hubby, but for now, I enjoy the fact there are so many flowers out around my birthday (Friday, May 9th) My guy picked up a bouquet for me, filled with roses and hydrangeas - gorgeous blooms, especially with a fat blossom with my favorite orange tinted coloring. I notice two days after receiving the flowers, on Sunday, that the beauty mentioned before, has already started to wilt badly. Wha wa wa what? I included a photo. It's a darn shame, because the other flowers are still going strong, but my favorite flower is the one that's already turned : ( Sad faces all around. Just got back from my visit with Coleen's, Christmas Eve 12/24. I had 2 identical arrangements made for the holidays and they are stunning. This came as no surprise because I've ordered arrangements in the past for Mothers day, and when I get into the occasional argument with my fiance. Coleen's did flowers for our small outdoor elopement. Due to weather, we changed from a 4 pm ceremony to 9 am the night before. I had previously arranged to pick up our flowers at 11 am. I emailed Coleen's (after they had already closed for the day) asking if we could pick up flowers at 8:15 am (the shop doesn't even open until 9 am). I received an email back and call at 7 am the next morning that they were going to get there early to accommodate our request. The flowers were beautiful and exactly what we had asked for. I had a very last minute order of 2 large bouquets, 3 large centerpieces, 2 corsages and several boutonnieres for my wedding, and Coleen and her team put me and my fiancé at ease by putting together the most beautiful arrangements. Because sometimes you gotta pull out the ace...... As I drove around on my lunch break full filling my addiction to caffeine and nicotine, I drove past this place on Dot ave. and figured I get the lady friend something. Its nice inside and the girl at the counter was friendly yet straight to the point. She took one look at me and realized exactly what I was....a guy in a flower shop. No I don't know what kind of flowers I need, no I don't know what I matches the season...I know one thing.....women like flowers the rest is arbitrary. So she asked me how much I would like to spend and disappeared downstairs. A woman came over and charged me the amount I had specified and a few minutes later she came up with some great looking flowers that I never would of put together on my own. This isn't my first time buying flowers but it was nice to not have my trying to pick out something she might like get in the way of her getting something nice....this way she gets quality flowers (not the wilted mess from Stop and Shop), and It only cost me 5 minutes and 30 bucks. read more

My aunt is obsessed with flowers and since she's in a nursing home, I always try to get potted plants for her room so that they'll last. I usually get orchids at Trader Joe's (great prices and variety of other flowers there!), but made an impromptu stop here since I was in the area. The staff who helped me were super nice, accommodating and put a pretty ribbon on my purchase. I walked out with a potted kalanchoe for $20 - not too bad of a price. Wish there was a slightly more varied selection of potted flowers (I saw maybe 3 or 4 different kinds?), but other than that, this place is adorable and you'll get great service. Another 5 Stars for Coleen's! I had the chance to be a volunteer for the St. Patrick's Day breakfast this year and a day before I thought I'd like to wear a Green Carnation boutonniere. (yes I had to spell check that!). I kept putting it off and putting it off through out the day, and 30 minutes before they closed, I thought of it again, and decided to call. The entire shop was great with my last minute request and I thought, "Well they will probably charge a bit more for last minute work". I was completely wrong, and even told the woman behind the counter that she could have charged me double and I would have paid it. They were just so nice and wished me well and even told me to wear it on my left lapel, because a lot of men wear it on the right and it looks horrible on television. I received a birthday gift of an orchid from Coleen's Flower Shop. I have other orchids and they have lasted for years but the orchid I received from Coleen's began to droop within about 10 days. I called the shop and was told I was either over or under watering and to do one or the other and see what happened. It got worse very quickly and I called again and was told to reverse what I had done before. It continued to get worse. I brought the plant to the shop but Coleen wasn't there and I couldn't leave the plant for her to look at. A few days later, I received a call for the sales person (who was pleasant and tried to help) the Coleen said I had waited to long to call and they were unable to do anything to help me. read more

Took about 20 minutes in all just to get THREE carnations. 15 minutes= waiting for someone to come downstairs and help 5 minutes= to pay for 3 carnations covered in what i'd like to think was water and flower food. Perhaps their was a shortage on workers that day, bad experience overall. read more

My sister had chosen Coleen's as her florist for her wedding. I can guarentee we will never make that mistake again. I went to the initial appointment, and the owner seemed to be well versed in the wedding industry. She assured us the flowers would be exactly what we wanted. The day came for the wedding, and not only were the flowers for the entire bridal party incorrect, but so were the center pieces at the reception. When I confronted the florist over the phone, they claimed the bride "must have changed her mind." This of course was their attempt to lay blame elsewhere. We had to make due with the flowers we had, and even had to cut fabric off of a bridesmaid dress, because the ribbon color used was horribly different than what we ordered. One of the mother's had to go without a corsage, because they made too few, and the center pieces were about three times taller than what was ordered. What I thought was a casual sense of knowledge in the field, was actually a completed disregard for a bride's order. Come to find out the church we used has experienced a lot of terrible errors by this flower shop. When I confronted the delivery girl, she seemed disinterested, and frankly looked as though she could have cared less. I would never recommend this flower shop to any bride. Due to the attitude of those involved, I wouldn't even use them for general floral needs. The whole experience was far too disappointing, especially for what we paid. read more

My son and his fiancée were sadly among so many couples who had to postpone their Boston wedding this month due to the pandemic. They graciously chose to mark the day as a couple with small pieces of what they had planned for their wedding day. When I learned they hired a photographer for some "porch" photos, I thought a bridal bouquet might be a nice touch. After reading Coleen's Yelp reviews and seeing her photo gallery, I called the shop from out of state and we spoke about my vision. I sent an inspiration photo of the bridal bouquet that my beautiful DIL-to-be had designed. Despite the fact that Coleen was busily working with city officials for the limited re-opening of her shop, she took the care to locate the flowers, in the colors we'd need, to replicate the bouquet. It was perfect! She sent photos-and even a video- ahead of time to share the finished bouquet with me. We'd agreed on a specific delivery time, and when the plan changed late on the evening before- Coleen made it work, with no hesitation, putting my mind at ease. She was warm and genuine, talented and reassuring- at a time when we desperately appreciated it as a family. Our kids loved the surprise and made the bouquet part of all their "wedding day" pics... Hard work and dedication pay off!!! Engaged Coleen's for my wedding and they were fantastic. The vases at the church and the centerpieces at the reception were just stunning. The colors were vibrant, springy and so cheerful. I've heard from the lucky guests who took them home that they were able to enjoy them for over a week!
