If I could give 0 stars I would. I used them to move from Jacksonville FL to Ocala FL. Including packing. Some family jewelry is nowhere to be found. Not saying they took it, but.... They packed everything and disassembled furniture. They damaged my dinning room table, office desk, chandelier, and dented the dryer. Everything was unloaded to a storage unit. They refused to allow me to examine anything and put everything in storage wrapped in their moving blankets. When everything was removed from storage a few months later the damage that they covered up was discovered. They paid to repair the dining room table because the driver lied and said it was delivered to the rental house and not the storage. Filed a claim and they won't make it good saying I'm responsible for what comes off their truck. They left boxes of stuff at my house that were not mine and I returned them to the moving company. Worst experience I've ever had moving. I've moved 10 times cross country in the past 20 years and this was by far the worst experience. Missing items that they said I signed off on the box on the day of delivery'. They would not take responsibility for missing items. They also broke my TV and reimbursed me 1/5 of the replacement price because I had a $500 deductible. This also showed me that they used the insurance that I paid for (it was added as a line item. Always read the fine print) and they were not held responsible at all. No wonder they were so horrible. They have nothing to lose by stealing or damaging my personal belongings. Don't ever use them! I do not recommend this moving company, especially for military families. During our PCS move, several of our items were damaged due to the movers' careless handling. When I filed a claim through the proper channels, it was completely denied without any accountability. This company is clearly not built to support service members or handle our belongings with the respect and care they deserve. Worst moving experience we have ever had. We contracted with Coleman to move us from Peoria, AZ to Salem, NH for a Feb. 2025 move. 1/2 of our items were being moved to a secure storage facility, the other 1/2 to our apt while we waited for our home to be built. The packers were fine, but we became very concerned when the driver showed up. His behavior was erratic, well beyond the point of "quirkiness". He was 10 days late showing up with our belongings ( not weather related; he said he broke down in PA). When he finally did arrive, his behavior was even worse. He was volatile, completely disorganized and on several occasions, was screaming at us. The local moving company that Coleman contracted with to assist, were appalled at the level of filth in the truck and the disorganization . I contacted management at Coleman and was told they had heard before that "he was quite a character" . When our home was completed and our storage unit was emptied, we found out that our Restoration Hardware dining table ( which was disassembled by the driver in AZ), only had the base and trestles; the dining table top that we were given was to a completely different table which had no inventory sticker on it. Again I contacted Coleman management who basically said that there was nothing they could do and how unusual it was to have our things in storage for 9 mos. We have now completely emptied all of our boxes, and are missing many things, including dish and serveware, shelving for a buffet, part of an art installation, not to mention the damage done to many items that we paid to have packed. Almost EVERY piece of my furniture was broken beyond repair, and/or ripped, marred, soiled, stained, dirty. Most of my furniture was less than 8 months old including a white leather chair/bed from Scandesign, a custom ordered leather recliner, a down linen sofa, floor lamps from Arhaus, a glass top dining table that is scratched - chunks of wood missing from its base...... I immediately filed a claim and it has taken almost one year to receive any settlement that doesn't even cover the cost of replacing the $2650.00 Scandesign Chair/bed let alone my bed or sofa, lamps.. The entire team: packers, truck loaders, drivers, un-loaders and follow-up rep. Michelle Norris were completely unprofessional. The packers showed up four hours late, were sloppy and careless with our things (they were very happy to take the items we couldn't take with us, though, like food and alcohol and cleaning supplies, and were very protective of those things). Michelle conveniently placed her follow up calls just after packers arrived, to see how things were going. She was well aware of lateness, yet acted so surprised when we informed her that the team had just arrived. We paid for full packing service but did not receive it; they just taped up the items in our garage that were in boxes - but were not packed for a move - and called it good. We didn't know this until we received our things at our new house and saw the crushed and crumpled boxes that were being unloaded, since we were trying to oversee the kitchen packing at the old house and couldn't also oversee the garage packing. They also just dumped parts into boxes so they ended up on the bottom of the box or put them in smaller boxes that were upside down and came open during shipment and things were strewn around the inside of the box. Just careless. Since the loaders didn't bring a big enough truck, we had to wait for an extra truck and crew to finish loading, it took them until after 7:00pm to complete the loading. When our things arrived at our new address, the first thing the driver did was show us a ladder bookshelf that was in pieces; it looked like firewood. And that was just the beginning. We also were missing many items. We don't know how that happened since all of the box / furniture / item numbers were accounted for. We surmise the things must have been stolen by the packers before any numbers got put on them. Then, when we filed claims for only the most damaged and expensive items which amounted to more than $3000, the adjuster sent us a check for $1400 and called it "Done", with no way for us to dispute. We had to accept less than half the replacement value. If we had had the time to do claims for everything that was damaged or lost, it would have taken us weeks and would have been for far more money. There were invaluable family keepsakes that can never be replaced that were broken into tiny pieces or just didn't arrive. It was heartbreaking. So much for getting extra insurance. It was beyond disappointing to have no recourse available to us for this horrible experience and for the loss of our things. AVOID Coleman Allied of Jacksonville, FL, at all costs. BTW, just an additional 'buyer beware', if you are planning on storing your things in the Jacksonville storage facility, especially during extreme temperatures, like summer, make sure your items are packed accordingly because the facility is NOT climate controlled. The only professional team member associated with Coleman-Allied St. Augustine that I can recommend is the estimator, Steven Sirup. The rest of the team, packers, truck loaders and follow-up rep. Michelle Norris were sub-par. The packers showed up hours late, were sloppy and careless with our items. We paid for full packing service and did not receive it. I had a Mexican pottery birdbath and tall flamingo that they decided they would not pack but just wrap in a moving blanket. My husband was supervising the packers. I never would have let that pass. Of course they both arrived broken, amongst many other things. My husband didn't notice the slob job because those pottery items were outside on the front porch and he was inside supervising the other packer. Only two packers were sent to perform a full pack on our 2,000 sq. Ft. House. UnacceptabLe, it took them until 9:00pm to complete the packing. Of course arriving hours late did not help matters. Same thing next day with movers. Arrived hours late, always excuses COVID related as is convenient these days. Michelle alway conveniently placed her follow up calls immediately after packers and movers arrived to see how things were going. She was well aware of lateness, yet acted so surprised when I informed her that the team had just arrived. Any problem resolution needed we turned to Steven for assistance, he was extremely helpful when we had an issue with having to delay receipt of our belongings. It was most distressing receiving so many valuable broken items due to the careless pack job which we paid dearly for. Worst move ever! The move from St. Augustine to Sarasota was horrible. Looking at the photos it is obvious that the furniture was not wrapped or secured in the truck. There was so much damage to our furniture that our neighbors asked if the movers had a vendetta against us. Furniture that we bought for our St. Augustine house and was in perfect condition is ruined as well as other pieces. For example, our Henredon King size bed had broken side rails where the rail attached to the headboard. The men tried to blame it on the warehouse, but we found one of the broken pieces in our garage. Mattress was dirty. Nearly every chest or armoire has scraped legs and/or sides where it appears to have been dragged. Tops of tables and sideboard have gouges and scratches. Eagle Insurance has been no help. Move was seven months ago and we are still not in agreement. First, representative told us she had been out with Covid-19 (3 months after filing first claim). I am copying the review I gave for the Kansas branch of Coleman American because these are the two branches that handled my move and screwed me over. Do NOT use this company! It is a waste of your time and money. We used them to move from Jacksonville, FL to Olathe, KS. Things seemed to be going fine until it came time for our stuff to be unloaded at the new house. We were told by the driver that when he picked our stuff up from the warehouse in Jacksonville, that it was all sitting in a giant water puddle. This was evident by the water damaged boxes, bed frames, and desk. We were upset, but have purchased full coverage, so we just thought it was be an added hassle to a move. Once the claims person came out, they gave us $25-30 for each damaged object...all pieces that cost $250 and up. They said since they were not damaged beyond repair, that was all they could do for us. Then they said they would repair or reimburse us the full cost of our wine cooler that worked when it was packed up by them, but was broken when it arrived in Kansas. Today I received a letter in the mail stating that since there was no visual damage to the wine cooler, they are not responsible for it and will be giving us nothing. I find this all completely ridiculous. We have barely had that wine cooler for 5 months and now it's a giant paper weight. I plan to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and encourage everyone I meet to use someone else. I also suggest not using Allied in general since they are the parent company. read more

We used Allied on our move from up North to Jacksonville and unfortunately decided to use them again. With the Jacksonville team, we noticed items not being packed as delicately as they had been packed by our previous movers...not thinking it was a huge deal because this was a local move vs. out of state, we didn't think anything of it. Besides, these are the professionals, right? Moving day, 3 men show up to move us (which is what they recommended) however 5 more guys had to be called in to assist. While at the house, they damaged our front porch light and left dirt and debris inside (must have tracked branches/leaves in after loading patio furniture). On top of that, they broke a window and did NOT tell us about it. Awesome. After arriving at our destination, my husband asked for them to slow down a bit so he could call out some broken items (which we documented with them). After an additional review of our furniture (once they left), we've identified multiple damaged items and are left with the hassle of filing a claim. In all of our moves, we have never experienced damaged furniture or such an awful moving experience. If you are considering using this company...consider looking elsewhere or carefully watch them pack/load your items. They certainly weren't the cheapest quote we received...probably should have went with the cheapest option since I'd probably have less damaged items and less of a headache. Bad experience with Coleman Allied with our move from NC to San Antonio, TX. First time using a moving company long distance. Felt when we met with Jeffrey in our previous residence, this company is used by military for moves. They would treat our furnishing better than they did. When the truck arrived at our new place, in San Antonio, the side doors were open. The grates with our name on them looked like it been through hell and back. When the driver and companion opened the crates what a mess! Looked like things were just thrown in, just as fast as they could. That feeling we had back in NC was out the window. Items were busted up, frames, carefully packed were broken. Keep sakes we're damaged. The one item we were highly miffed over was our king side bed. Wood headboad, and side boards were badly damaged. The bed was unable to be put back together. Had to file claims. This is unacceptable, luckily we had the more expensive protection on our items, but dealing with the claims department was a total nightmare. If this is how someone ,retired military, is treated, I can just image what the military has to deal with. read more

Worst moving experience ever and I haven't even received my items to see what's damaged yet: the 2 men that came to pack and move had zero regard for my things. There was nothing gentle or delicate about the way they packed. The worst was probably when one of the men decided that instead of caring my furniture down the stairs he would just let it slide down instead. Multiple things were dropped, knocked over, tossed around. Most items weren't even properly boxed up but wrapped in brown paper instead. No idea what kind of protection they think brown paper will serve. They also took forever!!! I only have 2.5 rooms of things to pack. Probably less than 1500 lbs, and it took them 5 hours. I think this is due to their plethora of brakes they took to complain about some woman in their office. They also left multiple things out that I had to remind them to pack. I am so nervous everything I own is going to be damaged beyond belief. This is an overseas move and I have a feeling I'm in for a huge headache when this stuff arrives. They will not wrap up your furniture, but just toss it on the truck and walk all over it (maybe if you buy insurance they'll be better, idk). I retired and moved to Norfolk, Virginia from Jacksonville, Floriday in September. I started planning early and interviewed several companies. I spoke to Jeff Ryba, and expressed my concerns with moving long distance. The many stories you hear about belongings being held hostage for thousands of dollars more. It was the best experience in moving I have ever had, and I have been through a lot of military moves previously. The driver, Bruce, was so nice, professional and kept the workers moving. I had prepacked most of my belongings, and they took the bed apart, and covered the rest of the furniture. I drove out the same day, and four days later, they were delivering my belongings to my new home. The workers were respectful, taking care with my belongings, and the walls and stairs in the house. They put my bed back together and had it all done in a few hours. Instead of an increase in price, I ended up getting a refund because of all the boxes I had prepacked. I had a great experience, and would recommend them to anyone. I didn't have one thing broken. They were awesome. I only gave them 4 stars because the refund took a few weeks to get. read more

WORST MOVING EXPERIENCE OF OUR MILITARY CAREER!! It started out with us being scheduled for two pack days. They canceled the first and didn't call to notify us. When they did show up the second day the three movers were very unprofessional. Nothing was packed correctly! Things were just thrown in boxes it seemed. Late afternoon I left to get my kids from the sitter while my husband stayed in the house with the pack team. When I pulled back up the younger gentleman was standing in my garage smoking. Walking up it was pot! I was in disbelief. I went in the house and confronted the team and he picked up the dried flowers from my papa's funeral and slammed them on the table destroying them. I should have called the police but I was in shock and didn't. They ran out of boxes and ended up packing any thing and everything where ever they could shove it. The following day was pickup... they forgot we were scheduled! I called our move coordinator with the company and she was finally able to contact the Jacksonville office. The woman that called me back admitted that they forgot we were on schedule so through a team together and rented a moving truck to come pickup. Our 8am pickup didn't start until 2pm. They rushed and put everything in the truck that wasn't even big enough so they shoved until it all fit. Upon receiving our house good a couple months later they lost half of our shipment. I complained and filed a police report as well a claim. Within a couple of days of filing a $10,000 they found part of our shipment. Everything that was found was damaged. I filed a claim with company on this and they are not wanting to pay anything on damaged items. It was noted a delivery as well as pictures provided. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE! HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE!!! We used Coleman for a move from Jacksonville to Arizona. The sales person was good - the packers and movers came on the assigned day. They only sent two people to pack my 3400 square foot home so of course they could not finish that day and had to come back. Bad attitudes - as if it was my fault that they didn't finish. The actual movers seemed ok but now that I have received my items in Arizona, I can see that things did not go well. First of all, the customer service regarding the delivery was awful. They changed the delivery date last minute which meant we had to get a hotel and various other expensive inconveniences. When I called to complain, they were very unresponsive. Nobody kept me posted. I asked to speak to the supervisor and she never called me back. I had to make all the phone calls and only got answers by calling the driver directly. I could say much more on this but I will just say the customer service gets a 0. Things get worse because the damage is extensive. Our things were stored for 4 months. We have broken TVS and gashed furniture. Several pieces have mold damage. Some furniture was not even wrapped in any way. I have upholstered chairs that are completely ruined. My kitchen table has water damage. I have never seen anything like this. I have just started unpacking and I have already uncovered several shattered pieces. Did they throw the boxes around in the warehouse? I think so. This company should go out of business. Please do not use this company. The sales guy is good but don't believe him. We contacted Allied moving, they sent us movers from this company. 1. They brought a truck that was too small for everything we told them we were moving. 2. They brought a truck that didn't have the correct ramp they needed to load the motorcycle that they were told they would be loading onto the truck. 3. They wanted to drive the motorcycle up the ramp (the wrong ramp). If you own a motorcycle then you know how ludicrous of an idea that is given that it is a 700 pound motorcycle, and it was a 3 foot wide ramp. 4.They wanted to push the motorcycle up the ramp (the wrong ramp). Again, an impossible idea given that the ramp was too steep and the motorcycle would have bottomed out at the top. So after being educated by our neighbor, they decided to go back and get the right truck. 5. They wrapped the wood furniture in paper. They brought professional moving blankets, but instead decided to use paper. 6. They dragged the wood furniture along the floor, destroying the wood. 7. The movers themselves obviously had zero training whatsoever, noted by the fact that they paid no attention to their surroundings, dropped items on other items and destroyed the majority of the items that they were moving. The damage they caused vastly outweighed the cost of the move itself. Avoid this company like the plague. read more

I recently used Coleman in a move for Georgia to South Carolina. The front end service was excellent - timely and friendly. As I was being packed and loaded, two different people in the company called to check on how the move was going. My sales rep and the person doing the packing were great. Then, things began to deteriorate. My items went to storage for 10 weeks. I was told to call at least 10 days before I wanted delivery and we had also agreed on a likely delivery date when I contracted with them. I called three weeks before the needed delivery and was told I would have a 5 day window that was 5-10 days after my move date. I had to call repeatedly to get updates and was finally told my delivery date would be the very last date in the range. Again, I had to call repeatedly and found that messages were often not returned - this happened at least 3 times and I had to call again. When it was time for delivery, I got a call from the driver the day before my scheduled delivery indicating they could bring my items in 2 hours. I agreed to that. There was no "red carpet service" upon delivery. They did nothing to protect the floors in my new home, nor were they careful placing items or bringing them in. The men worked hard, but complained during the whole delivery process. Additionally, I had one piece of furniture completely destroyed and at least five more pieces with some type of damage. They are supposed to be the moving professionals and they did all the packing of my items. How could there be so much damage? And, of course, not one call during or after delivery to check on the service. I had to call twice to get the claim form, which is of course, very complicated to complete. Coleman was contracted with our local agent in Chicago. My delivery was not delivered in one truck because Allied did not fit all my belongings on the first truck, but contractually they had to deliver by a certain date. The truck arrived and the contents looked like a trash dump. The movers were not all in uniform and my large furnishings - beds, sofas, were not boxed or wrapped and the crew was perspiring all over the upholstery. Hutches were wrapped in dirty blankets, pictures were jammed inside hutches, sofa parts came delivered loose and in bins, small pieces were missing and boxes were crushed. My newly finished floor was gouged and the paperwork that should have been completed by the driver for the damage was omitted. The claims process was a real headache and the onus is on the customer to dredge up receipts, bids, videos, etc. The compensation did not cover the cost of repair/replacement. Allied will assure on the front end but absolutely not deliver on their stated or published service on the back end. Moving is inconvenient but I would try my luck with another company. read more

All of my items left my place of residence in Jacksonville, FL in once piece but when it arrived in Atlanta, I had several broken items. This is not my first time using this company but it is my last. I contracted my coordinator once the truck reached my destination to unload and explained all of the broken item I noticed just when the doors opened on the truck. A claim was filed on all of the item but still the claims adjuster never would call me but sent me an email stating that they would not be able to do anything for the all of the damaged items. Her email states that the items were not damaged at the time of delivery. I responded with another email informing her that the driver took pictures of the damaged items because he saw how upset I was. Nothing has ever been done or received from Allied, I will file a claim with the BBB on this matter. Summary Statement: DO NOT USE COLEMAN ALLIED for your move. Brief Summary: Despite initial reasonably good face-to-face impressions with staff, our moving experience became horrendous. Severely damaged items (some appearing maliciously so), lost items, late delivery, terrible communication throughout. Moving is already costly and stressful. We thought "full service" company would make it less stressful and were sadly wrong. We've spent more time dealing with their mistakes than it would have taken to just move everything ourselves. And spent much more money than intended dealing with late, broken and lost items. Detailed Summary: We used Coleman Allied to move from FL to PA with temporary storage at Jacksonville office. Initial interactions with company getting estimate and packing/loading were good (4/5); however, our experience promptly went downhill after our payments were made, so bad that I would rate them 0 stars if yelp would allow. Our "move coordinator" was non-responsive to our inquiries (some items were damaged during loading process and I politely inquired 5+ times to determine the full extent so I could prepare ahead). On the day our movers arrived in PA, they advised us there was "overflow" and that not all of our stuff had come (including one of our beds). We also discovered numerous items with significant damage beyond typical scrapes and scuffs. None of this was communicated to us by move coordinator ahead of time so we were without a number of important items for weeks. Instead, we had to reach out to her. When pressed on the arrival of our "overflow" items, I was given no clear date until I involved a supervisor and even then, the delivery date was WEEKS AFTER our delivery window from the contract. My wife and I started new jobs after and could not take off additional time to receive the remaining items at the time they chose. They then threatened to put our items in PA storage and charge us for this. After much back and forth, they begrudgingly changed their delivery time slightly. Then came the final blow. With the second move, we found even more items with significant damage, many unusable. Our driver apologized profusely on arrival, telling us this is how he found it in storage in Jacksonville. There were also findings of gross negligence and perhaps malicious intent. Two pieces of our child's furniture were broken into numerous pieces, appearing almost by force/choice and then stuffed into previously sealed boxes and then re-closed. My wife's preserved wedding dressing was removed from its preservation box, balled and stuff among other items without packaging. Two of our mattresses had ripped plastic covers were were covered with dirt and mold. And lastly, we were informed of numerous "lost" items including two large, expensive bookcases and a dyson vacuum. Never any communication of this from our move coordinator, the driver had to break the news on delivery. We have not yet summed the total lost and damaged items, but I am sure replacing them will come close to or exceed the cost of the actual move with Allied. Due to the poor communication, its hard to determine exactly where all the issues occurred, but I suspect the problem is with the Jacksonville office and storage. Our driver informed us that this has been a routine experience of his with the Jacksonville office/storage and that he thinks that it gives the Coleman Allied company a bad name. Unfortunately, I have received no response from Coleman corporate to my complaints, so leadership will remain to blame until these issues are addressed. read more

We moved from Austin, Texas to Yulee, Florida. Our relocation consultant Stacy Black came to our home for the estimate. I was immediately comfortable with Stacy. He was very friendly and professional. He remained available via phone, text, or email for any questions we had. I have had several moves in my life but this was so perfectly demonstrated. Stacy went above and beyond in making sure we were taken care of in every way. The team that came to load us were much the same. I drove to Florida to meet up with my husband who was already there working. I was given a window of delivery. My 3 bedroom home was delivered by yet another great team of gentleman on the beginning of the window I was told. They reassembled furniture and approximately placed my boxes in each room labeled on them. Rochel Camacho checked in with me on each detail of pick up time, delivery, etc. I can't give enough praise to the professionalism of this company and the fairness of price for the service received. I will recommend them over and over again to anyone and everyone! I am very grateful that they made the largest piece of a stressful time for me much more pleasant than I ever expected. I have moved over 10 times within the US and overseas and never had any problems. This has been my WORST move. What a horrible company with even worse customer service. I had several big furniture items missing from my shipment, and as I unpacked discovered numerous smaller items were stolen/never showed up in my shipment. I submitted a claim for the items and was notified my claim was denied basically because I had no proof and could not tie the items to a box number, which is hard to do when the items are miscellaneous items and could have been in any box. I am absolutely disgusted by the disregard of this company with the way mine and other people's items are just stolen/"misplaced", items that we work hard for, and someone just comes and takes them because they think they are entitled to them, and no one is held responsible or accountable for it. i see the negative comments and feel like I must be in the twilight zone. I've had 6 cross country moves, and this was the best move so far. The two packers arrived on time, were fast and friendly, and finished by 2 in the afternoon. I have a 5 BR, 4 bath home. Santiago, the driver, arrived the next day at 8am. Two local movers showed up and the truck was packed by 3:30 in the afternoon. He arrived in Michigan 4 days later and two local movers unpacked the truck. I'm about 75% complete with unpacking the stuff. I haven't found any damage to glass, furniture, walls, floors, etc. My house has all new flooring (tile, wood, and carpet) and paint. They were careful and the driver provided a lot of instruction during the load and unload to make sure the movers didn't create any problems. Having moved many times on my own and 6 times with the professional movers, I expect to have a few dings and problems, if not some serious ones. In this case, I have to say Allied did a very professional job this time. Many potential problems are caused when the local movers aren't trained or experienced. If you have something that you're very concerned about, have it packed by a 3rd party (for example, I took a carbon road bike to the bike shop and had them pack it up for $40). The other thing I would advise is to move before or after summer peak times. My last move was in July and the truck arrived 10 days late due to not having a driver available. read more

Negative 5 stars is what this company deserves. I am currently in the process of a move from north Florida to north Georgia. My delivery date was scheduled for May 31-June 1. June 3, I was notified I would receive a "partial" shipment that day. Not to worry though, the only thing not arriving was patio furniture. And they were taking a whopping $300.00 off my nearly $10,000 bill. I called to speak to the local manager, Andy, to find out when the rest of my shipment would arrive. Gutless Andy refused to take my phone call, yet I could hear him whispering to his secretary as to what to say. When I told him I could hear him, he picked up the phone. I was offered $500.00 off my bill and told that's the best he could do, because it was only 1 day late, wrong 2 days late, and missing was unimportant items, wrong, all my items are important to me. I was then told I must pay my order in full or he would direct the driver to leave with my household goods. Now comes the good part, my new Samsung washer and dryer are destroyed, crushed by having something stacked on them. The washer is missing a clean out door. Both look like they were tipped on their side and drug across a concrete floor. An end table destroyed, a new sofa with two holes stabbed in the sides. Multiple other damage. Here's the kicker, only 1 bed of three was delivered, no bedroom furniture for my wife's clothing, no dining room table, only 2 of 8 dining room chairs delivered, no recliner, no kitchen plates. But I did receive 2 boxes that don't belong to me. It gets worse. On my next call, Gutless Andy takes my call and says the rest of my shipment will be delivered Saturday, June 11. 8 days from now. I informed him that my son is flying in from California and my daughter, her husband and daughter is flying in from London England on Tuesday and I have no beds or chairs for them. Sorry, there's nothing I can do replies Gutless Andy. I have since talked to Gutless Andys boss Brett who is trying to resolve this issue. They offered to reimburse me for "rental" furniture or for enflatable beds, but the delivery date will not change. I informed Brett that their insulting offer of $500.00 will not stand and I demand a full refund plus replacement of my damaged and potentially lost items. Fat chance. We'll see. This post will remain on this site until I am satisfied. I don't expect to ever remove it. Allied Van Lines should disassociate itself with this group immediately. UPDATE: June 11 has come and gone. No furniture. June 12, gone, no furniture. I threatened to sue. So far no one from Coleman will take or return my phone calls now, due to my threat of litigation. Today is June 13. So far, no furniture, no scheduled delivery. I'm done being nice. My attorney will handle it from here. But I will keep you updated. UPDATE: June 14, movers arrive! Antique china cabinet, glass shattered. Yard swing set made of pressure treated 4x4's smashed to a pile of rubble. 3 king size box springs missing. 1 King size mattress missing. Whereabouts unknown. Every piece of furniture has some damage. Deep freezer has large dent. Etc, etc, etc. 4:30p appointment with my attorney. UPDATE: June 15, met with attorney yesterday. Wheels in motion. Further inventory revealed queen mattress missing. So far, on the inventory list, several boxes or items not delivered, whereabouts unknown, contents unknown at this time. Oh, and again I was delivered a box that is not mine and 2 twin size box springs with the Sams Club still attached that are not mine. Mine were King size and matched the mattress. read more

For those of you considering Coleman Allied, do yourself a favor and keep looking for other moving companies!! We recently relocated to GA from FL, and our experience with them has been an absolute nightmare. On moving day, they show up with truck that is way too small (we reserved a semi). Against better judgement, we allow the crew to start loading up our stuff. As expected, we have quite a bit of overflow. We are told a second truck would arrive around 8:00am the next morning to finish getting the remainder of our stuff. Well, at 4:00 we are still waiting. The driver finally calls and asks if it would be ok to come 2 days later on Monday. This option was unacceptable to us. He finally showed up late that evening, and my husband had to help load the truck. This completely defeated the purpose of hiring someone to do it so we didn't have to. I will also add that items did not get loaded, even though they had a tracking sticker and were logged on the tracking sheet. Likewise, the driver slacked off his duty to inventory everything and many boxes were packed without ever getting a sticker or any tracking info. We were told that all of our stuff was being taken to a warehouse and combined into a larger truck for delivery. Upon leaving, I proceed to clean is the mess they left behind, consisting of 10 or so packing blankets and piles of packing paper and and tape. The day before our contractually agreed upon delivery date, we receive a call stating that the driver was out of hours, and delivery was being postponed. Sorry, but that's not our fault. The company should have planned the timing/logistics better. Since they broke the terms of the contract, they offered us a small discount and told us the delivery was scheduled for around noon the next day. Well, a little after 12:00, the driver calls and informs us that he is just now leaving Jacksonville, FL. He finally arrives around 8:00 that night, and it is pouring rain. Unloading begins. Our stuff gets soaked. Our floors get filthy with mud. All of our stuff was just stashed in a very unorganized manner. My husband had to spend 4 hours helping unload the truck!! They finally finished a little after 1:00am. I inform the driver that I have not personally inspected my items for damage or done inventory to make sure nothing is missing. I notate this in one of the forms I was required to sign. Considering the time and the fact that I had two very unhappy children, I did not go and check the condition of my property that night. I go the next morning to inspect, and am shocked at what I see. Bicycles are bent, my ivory colored recliner is stained with mud, entertainment center has deep gashes, a brand new $2000 wooden swing set is broken in 4 spots and the slide appears to have been drug across concrete, many bulky items bent, couch cushions missing, wooden legs on couches are broken off, boxes crushed... The list could go on! I could overlook a few minor mishaps, but the amount of damage to our belongings is absolutely unacceptable! I tried to call the rep today to express my dissatisfaction and get no answer. I left a voicemail asking for a prompt call back. It has yet to happen, 12 hours and counting. I am so upset I physically feel sick. I have always taken great care of our material possessions, and we paid a lot of money expecting Coleman Allied to do the same. I'm sure the claims process isn't going to go much smoother, that is, if I can ever get someone on the phone... :( read more

One star is way too high for this company. They moved my home with no regard for my belongings. The dropped furniture and dragged it on the ground. They moved electronics and tore the plugs out of the wall. They smashed a granite table top, gashed wood tables, broke glass shelves. It is unbelievable how poor this company is. Please be aware this is an Allied Van Lines company, I called Allied and they sent Coleman. When I called Allied back to report this, they told me, 'we have no jurisdiction'. read more

I am not new to contract moving, as a member of the Armed Forces this is my 8th move I had made in the last 20 years. However it will be my last. This by far has been the worst moving experience I have ever had, and now I know why my peers prefer to use the personally procured move. We were performing a move from Fort Carson Colorado to Jacksonville Florida. I will begin with the preparation before the pack out day. I had a pre-move inspector come to the house and get a quick inventory of the stuff to be moved and take a list of additional items needed to pack up. I told her we needed the shipping bolt for a HE washer and some other small items for unique items. The local office called me a few days before pack-out day and I had to explain the extra items needed again including the shipping bolt and TV boxes. When "Rocky" and his team showed up they didn't have any of the items needed. They had to run back to the warehouse to get additional supplies and they never brought the shipping bolt for the HE washer. "Rocky" assured us that he would put it in when they got the shipment to the warehouse. When we received shipping in Jacksonville there was no shipping bolt in the HE washer. So even though we explained the needs to 3 separate people in your organization, it still did not happen. I called our "move manager" and explained that the lack of communication in their organization was lacking. Once we received delivery is when the true chaos began. First we have 7 inventory items missing, including furniture and an outside patio table. What is more alarming is we were missing an entire king sized bed and headboard that conveniently was not on the inventory, even though the frame was not on the inventory but it showed up. There were other items not on the inventory that did arrive, which tells me the inventory at pack up was not very organized. I was never allowed to check inventory numbers during move day as in past moves and "Rocky" told me not to worry. Good thing my wife took pictures on move day, as we have pictures of a man in a Covan t-shirt boxing up the king size bed in the driveway behind the truck with the box springs next to him. Not only did we have missing items, but at least 25 items were broken beyond repair, including three lamps, countless glass items and mirrors, furniture, and electronics. One item, a $1000 electronic Ijoy massage chair was wet and had mold. When the team showed up to provide delivery they were late and very unprofessional. After they unloaded the truck they were asking for a signature, my wife asked them to unbox certain items i.e. kitchen, clothes, and they stated they didn't have time. She explained what is in the contract and they complained vocally and started doing their job. However when they unloaded the clothes they just dumped out the boxes on the bedroom floor. Again I have pictures to prove the mess they made. The unpacked the tv boxes and threw away all the power cords that were taped to the back of the tv. Bottom line, is this has nightmare move from the beginning to the end. With your companies lack of organization and poor customer service has caused my family much hardship and between the missing and broken items we are looking at an estimate $8000 dollars in damages or missing items read more

Everyone has heard horror stories about moving. There were a couple that were fresh on my mind when we decided to move. From out of the blue, we received an ad in the mail about Allied. With fingers crossed, I called. Every single step of the process was as well done as one could possibly ask for. From the first visit to our home and the set up, through packing, loading, and unloading, we had a wonderful experience. Each individual involved was professional and courteous. There were oversight calls or visits at each phase as well. My hope is to never do this again, but without reservation, I would call Allied again. In the meantime, I highly recommend them to anyone ready to make a move. read more

I always try to give positive feedback when it is earned but this time I offer this warning! Beware of the Wolves dressed in Sheep's clothing. Everyone from salesman, to packers, to Insurance provider was most accommodating when taking my money for the move but when it came to providing the coverage for damaged items, no one would call me back, no adjuster was sent out to verify the damage caused by the move and the Extra Care Full Coverage Insurance plus an additional fee I paid for special packing was not honored. My suggestion would be to call another Mover. Coleman Worldwide/Allied Jacksonville does not stand behind their contract. After 3-months of calling, letter writing and appeals to their Lead Claims Analyst Margie Lothamer I finally got a letter from her stating that if I wished to pursue any further appeals then I should engage an arbitration attorney. My guess would be this is their standard practice judging from the numbers of dissatisfied customers. read more

Would give zero stars if I could. There is a huge lack of customer service, efficiency, accountability, and integrity within this company. And now I can add possible theft to that list since my washer and dryer mysteriously disappeared along with four patio chairs. Not surprising the movers looked like criminals. Over the past 2 and 1/2 years I have had several problems with this company at the Jacksonville location. First I was supposed to have an automatic payment taken out of my checking account every month to cover this account which was never implemented and so I went several months thinking that I was all squared away with my payments when in fact no payments were going to my account. Then after a considerable amount of time I was notified that the billing department never charged my credit card for the moving fee of $500.00 which I was sure that I had paid. The billing department tacked on the extra $500.00 to my balance. December 2013 I was going to Virginia to see my family for Christmas. I contacted the office to notify them I would be coming in to get a few winter things out of storage. They said "OK no problem" and explained that they would be closed until after Christmas. Because of this I waited till December 26th and missed Christmas with my family. I drove 8 hours to Jacksonville from Marathon to get my winter clothing and was told I could not access my unit because of an outstanding balance of $1,000.00. Then was forced to proceed up north without any winter clothing. After this incident I began doubling my payments for the next 5 to 6 months so that I could bring my account to a zero balance. After 6 months I called to inquire of my account balance and was told it was still $1,000.00. This is not mathematically possible! I was told by the billing department that I had to get my bank statements and prove to them what payments I have made. I had to research 2 years of bank statements and fax them to your billing office. I gave them a few months (which is more than adequate time) to apply the payments that I proved that I made to my account. I called again this past October for a new balance and to get a quote on having my storage moved to Fort Lauderdale FL on the first of November. This time I was told that I still owe $900.00. This is again is mathematically impossible and no one ever got back to me with a quote even though I have called back three times! I have been living in Fort Lauderdale for two months now with no furniture!!! December I called to make a payment and inquire about the balance and moving quote could never get anyone to answer the phone which in my experience is typical of the billing department. I eventually left a message stating that I gave authorization for them to charge my card that they have on file $200.00 and to please call me if there are any questions. I never got a call back or a charge on my credit card. When I scheduled my moving day I was told it would be 8 AM maybe 9 AM with the morning traffic. I took the day off to be at home for my shipment loosing a day of wages. I was then called by the movers that informed me that they were going to Miami first because they scheduled another move on the same day. I told him that I was given a time of 8-9AM and that I arranged to be off from work and I am on the way to Miami why not stop at my place first instead it did not make any sense. But I was told that was what the office wanted and it would now be 12PM before they arrived. At 12;30 I called again to see where they were and in the same breath the driver said we will be there in 30 min, an hour and a half, 2 hours. lol They did not arrive until 6PM and were not finished till 11PM my neighbors were furious because they had no where to park after coming home from work and I lost a days pay for nothing. On top of everything my washer and dryer were missing along with the patio chairs. My bed is broken so the side rails and the footboard are useless, my china cabinet will not close, and several items in my shipment were full of mold. I called them to open a claim and they just keep giving me a 1-800 number to another company who handles the claims and wont look for my missing items. The claim company is just as useless they were supposed to email the claim form and it has been 4 days and 4 phone messages later and still nothing and it is not in my junk mail. Worst moving/storage company ever!! Take my advice do your self a favor and find a different company!! read more

Do NOT use. Ever. Coleman Allied Jacksonville did not deliver & cannot find an entire crate full of our items worth at least $1100 that includes our children's favorite toys, family mementos, and 6', 8', & 24' ladders, which would have been hard to "lose." We were told by Jeff Ryba, our moving coordinator, that the warehouse manager could not find our missing crate or items and that we should begin the claims process. The claims department offered us $84 in compensation. Extremely disappointed with the service we've received as well as the lack of communication and helpfulness with our "missing" items. Jeff Ryba is impossible to personally reach on any of his provided telephone numbers and his eventual responses come sporadically and always via email. The warehouse is not helpful and repeatedly left us on hold for 30-45 minutes, never returning to the phone. The movers themselves were 3 hours late reaching our old home to pick up our items and they did not call beforehand to say that they would be late. A television box we paid $100 for was not present on moving day, but we were assured, by Jeff Ryba, that the warehouse would safely box our television upon receiving it; the warehouse cut open an old refrigerator box and wrapped it around our 70" television with tape instead. It took well over a month and a lot of work on our part to get that $100 box refunded. The movers also lost all of the hardware for our beds and dresser mirrors so we were left to sleep on the floor in our new home and had to spend time searching various hardware stores for the hard-to-find bolts required to put our children's beds together. In addition, the movers ran out of "Household Goods Descriptive Inventory" sheets, so they did not inventory all of our items at pick-up that Jeff Ryba had previously inventoried at walk-thru...many of the non-inventoried items are now gone. Communication is virtually non-existent with Coleman-Allied. Customers left frustrated, disappointed, & without many of the items we paid to have delivered. Children left heartbroken. Coleman Allied is an expensive mistake. read more
