Top 3 reasons why you should NEVER step into this store: 3. Innacurate pricing - Quoted one price, and increased several several times after deposit was left. 2. Innacurate Measurement - All day hassles 3-DAYS prior to my wedding. Overnighting suits and shoes, as they didn't get them right. i.e. Waist size for one the groomsmen was 34 but a 43 got ordered. Shoe size for another was 9 but a 12 was ordered. Torn shoes. Missing portion of the suits,etc. 1. Rude Service - Manager and owner very apathetic and careless to resolve their mistakes. i.e. As the manager was on lunch and on her cigarette brake her expression was: "Well, you can't have everything you want. . . Run, do not walk, away from this store. I was told finding a suit for my groom would be one of the easiest wedding tasks. Thanks to Coleman's, this proved to be the biggest headache I had throughout my entire wedding planning experience. My husband and I first went to Coleman's because a friend of mine used them for his groomsmen about 4 years ago. Apparently the company was under different management at that time because he did not have the experience we had. I should have done more investigating online beforehand because many others have regretted going to this store. We placed an order for two suits - one for my husband and one for his best man and were told they would arrive in a week. Keep in mind we were purchasing these suits as well, not renting. A week goes by and we hear nothing from the store. I call and they tell me it's going to take a few more days. Again, days go by and we hear nothing...not even an update on the status. So, we call again and are told it's going to take another week. At this point we realize that the suits were never ordered in the first place. It's a good thing I like to get things done early because we still had a few weeks until the wedding. After more delays with the suit, we find out that it's arriving without the matching vests. At no point during any of our conversations about the shipment of the suits did anything come up about the vests being on backorder. Not only that, Coleman's told us that it was going to take ANOTHER WEEK for our suits to come in. We finally convinced them the right thing to do in this case was to have the suits shipped overnight. They finally arrived and we went for the fitting. While we were there we were shown a couple of vest options and they came up with a solution for ordering a different vest that I agreed would look good. The plan was they would order the vest & pocket squares and they would be picked up by the best man with the altered suits. By the time we had the suit, vest and pocket squares it was the week of our wedding. When I opened everything up, I was shocked. Thankfully the suit was okay but they had included a dirty white shirt with the suit. There was a very obvious brown stain (looked like women's makeup) down the front of the shirt. Someone had pressed this shirt and put it in the bag as if it was acceptable! Not only that, the vest was not the color navy we had ordered. And finally, on top of everything, the pocket square was not the same color blue as the vest they gave us when I was told it would match. I did not want my groom in a beige suit with a different shade of blue for the tie, vest and pocket square. Unbelievable!!!!!!!! I went online and ordered a bunch of vests from Macy's and had them overnighted. Luckily one of them actually looked amazing with the suit and tie we already had so we went with that. My groom had to go back to the store and get a new shirt as well as give them the vest that was wrong. They had the nerve to say they were not going to refund him for the vest. He ended up getting a store credit, which is terrible customer service especially after everything we've been through. Now, fast forward to the wedding day... the best man didn't realize when he checked his suit that there was no shirt included!!! They did not put the shirt in the bag! So now we are scrambling around ON OUR WEDDING DAY, literally a couple hours before the wedding, trying to find him a white shirt. It was incompetence from Coleman's of the highest level. Luckily the wedding day went great and my husband & our best man looked awesome, but it wasn't without a lot of aggravation! I would NOT recommend Coleman's. You don't need the added stress and you shouldn't have to worry about something as simple as your groom's attire. There are a lot of other places you can go & Coleman's acts like they have no competition. Their lack of integrity as a business is mind blowing (check out their F rating by the Better Business Bureau) and their actions say they really don't care about the customer or their perception as a business at all. read more

Please stay away!. I hate to give this place a one star rating but honestly it deserves no stars. To make a long story short, the groom and all five groomsmen were fitted 3-4 months before the wedding date and after, we were promised the suits were to be ready a month before to try one and then 1-2 weeks before with any alterations needed. Time passed and passed and the suits never arrived! When we went to find out what happened, they NEVER ordered the suits even after payments were made. Because of that, the suits arrived TWO days before the wedding and ALL completely out of whack. Not one suit fit well and that they had to overnight a completely new suit and shoes for everyone since they "forgot" to get us all shoes! Even more, when the shoes arrived, the sizes were messed up again! This is after confirming all our sizes maybe five times at least prior to order! After discussion of this horrible service we were vulgarly cursed at and that drew the line. BBB here we come. Only God knows how everything made it on time for the wedding. :( The ONLY silver lining was the tailor, Raul, who singlehanded, took are of ALL the mistakes. read more

Apparently, Coleman's is closed. We made an online reservation which was confirmed, but when we got there, the doors were locked and what looked like the posted hours were removed from the windows. The store looked fully stocked and there were no signs saying they were closed, but closed they were. I checked with the store next door, and they said the store closed about three months earlier, and that the owner had some health concerns. I had tried calling, but it goes straight to voicemail without a message, just a recording of the owner saying "Ira Coleman". I haven't gotten a call back, which seems to verify that they are not open for now. read more

STAY AWAY FROM COLEMAN TUXEDOS -- you'd be better off renting a tuxedo from the devil himself! Check out their rating from the Better Business Bureau at bbb.org - they rate an "F" on a scale of A+ to F !!! If you notice, any positive reviews are all from several years ago -- there are now serious problems with this business, and they regularly engage in fraudulent and unethical business practices. Owner "Ira" and his incompetent assistant "Richard" are liars and shysters of the worst mold. They will ask for a credit card number to "hold" your rental, and charge it immediately without your knowledge and without getting your signature.. without telling you how much they are charging. Later, they will charge you for any other fees they can think of. DO NOT GIVE THEM A CREDIT CARD UNTIL YOU HAVE RECEIVED EVERYTHING YOU ORDERED, CORRECTLY. Better yet, skip this place all together. It took me FIVE visits to the store to try and get my tuxedo correct. And they STILL managed to not get it correct in time for my event. I was finally forced to make other arrangements. After complaining about the multiple issues and massive inconveniences with my rental, owner "Ira" offered a full discount -- then never processed the refund. When called to inquire about it, he refused to discuss it and hung up on me in the middle of a sentence -- THREE times. Emailed him to resolve, but refused to contact me back. They tried to trick me into renting their most expensive tuxedo, without telling me the price, by saying it was the only one available to me. I later found out from other employees, that there were plenty of other, cheaper styles in stock. Tried to make it seem like a deal by saying i was getting a "discount" -- as it turned out, it was the most expensive tuxedo rental i've ever seen in my life ($200) When i arrived to get my "ready to pick up" tuxedo, it was not yet altered. They made me wait 2 hours before helping me... then had to remeasure me and alter it on the spot, taking another hour. None of the items i asked for were correct. Vest wrong color, shirt wrong size and style, jacket altered very poorly. No pocket square or suspenders included as requested. When they didn't have my requested vest in my size, they lied and tried to give me an XL Extra Long to me and said it was just a normal XL, which of course didn't fit. They hoped i wouldn't notice. When i gave them back the entire tux package so they could correct the incorrect items, they gave my shoes -- one of the few items that WAS correct -- away to another customer (!) I received the tux back with no shoes. They were never able to provide the shoes i ordered in time for my event. When reminded that the pocket square I ordered was not included, they included a wrinkled, crumpled one they pulled off of a display mannequin and included it with the tuxedo -- which was unusable. They advertise free pick up and delivery service on their website, but will tell you they no longer have it when you ask for it. Bait and Switch, as well as false advertising. While I was in there, there was a full wedding party picking up their tuxedos -- demanding their money back because nothing was what they ordered, and many of the groomsmen's tuxedos didn't match or were the wrong size. They were given a bad review on foursquare.com recently, saying they charged $300 in fees to the credit card of another dissatisfied customer who canceled their order 4 months before their wedding, when their stated policy is that you only owe a fee within two weeks of the event. They have barely any staff, and their only employees are over 70 or under 17 years old. I waited for 2-3 hours each time i was there, to get any assistance -- even though the reason i was back was because they screwed everything up. If all this isn't enough to scare you, nothing is... Let me start out by saying this is my fault. I should have read these reviews (as I usually do before I do anything). However, I went here out of desperation since the guy across the street @ JD Custom Tailor was closed for Aug. Walked in got my measurements (as I had to insist on a shirt measurement). Chose my shoes and left. Picked up my rental a few days later. Mistake #2: I am irresponsible. I should never expect to pay $225 and have to double check to make sure my rental was correct. Silly me... why should I check... I really should have. The day comes I need it... whooops NO SHIRT! I called... he said, "Can u meet me at the store in 20 mins?" I responded.. no I can't even use this.. no shirt, incorrect shoes.. I could not attend a fairly unimportant event anyway... I had told him I expected a refund. He said ok. Get to the shop today..... reminded him what happened. No apology. I received, "You couldn't find another shirt?" I said, no, it was too late... I just didn't go.. He said, let me think about a refund, maybe you can call me tomorrow and we can talk about it then... I said why do you need to think about a refund? He said it was what I said was bullshit. WHAT?!! ARE YOU KIDDING!!!!? I was amazingly, stunned and speechless... I fumbled,"Can u please refund me now?" Well I've never had someone not use their tux in 20 years... I asked him to look at it... was there any signs of use.. (Since he had already decided to make me wait while he took apart my rental before he discussed a refund). He repeated "It smells like bullshit, so I will refund you $75." I said I don't appreciate the language your using.. he made no adjustment to his tone. I wanted out, so I decided to take the $75 and then dispute it on my card. He had ran my card through, and then didn't need me to sign the copy.. after I insisted, he looked all over for a pen.. I had said, "Don't worry about it, its probably with my shirt." Then left. DON'T GO TO YOUR EVENT IF YOU HAVE TO RENT HERE.. JUST CANCEL IT.. REALLY.. OVERPRICED NO SERVICE.. BAD, BAD, BAD... They were extremely rude, the head honcho was hiding behind his cubicle as we stood and heard an obnoxious and unhelpful woman try to "help us". Not one thing she said matched up to what was told to us previously, she was constantly whispering about my fiancé ridiculing our questioning of prices and styles I wanted for my wedding!!! I would not recommend this place to anyone it is a shady operation that is questionable. And not to mention a customer came running in between church and reception because his tux was not holding together. I would not recommend this place. Stay away!! read more

The manager let someone charge $5,000.00 FRAUDULENTLY on a card that he never saw! It's with me in TEXAS. I have a hard time believing that someone tried to buy this much at a tuxedo shop online. I handled it through my credit card company but called him back to ask how this happened??? After the first $1,960.00 charge they tried another $1,960.00 and another $500.00 and I believe another $300.00 but my credit card company got suspicious UNLIKE COLEMAN'S who apparently only cared about the money. You would think 4 denied transactions would have tipped the manager off!! I was upset (do you blame me?) and asked the manager WHY DIDN'T YOU ASK FOR ID?? And maybe next time in the future to ask for ID so it doesn't happen to anyone else and he HUNG UP ON ME! I didn't cuss or yell and I have a right to be upset! We can't believe how easy COLEMAN'S made it for someone to steal my identity. Now I have to do all this work on my credit because I'm trying to buy a house and COLEMAN'S GREED could have left my family and me homeless!!!! BEWARE!
