I honestly don't know where to begin..... I called Sandy in…read morea state of panic, as I had waited until six weeks before my daughter's wedding and had lost 22 lbs., resulting in my gown being two sizes too big. Sandy went above and beyond, essentially taking the dress apart, undoing all the beading, remaking it to fit, and sewing back on all the beading. This was no small undertaking! I must admit I was quite nervous throughout the process. However, Sandy exceeded my expectations, and the gown fit perfectly. She truly is a master of her craft, and I cannot speak highly enough of her!

I bought several dresses online and the one I thought I wanted is beautiful but too long. It is beaded and I was worried it would take more than a week to hem it so I planned on going to a seamstress in Union that I normally use. I planned on taking all of the dresses with me so that I could get her advice on which one was the easiest and cheapest to fix, given my timeline. As I looked for the address of the seamstress I normally use, I found Sandra's name on Google. When I saw her great reviews and her proximity to me, I called her and was immediately impressed. She had me come right over, and we discussed the alterations that would be needed on the dress I thought I preferred. Although she could do the work within a week, she helped me realize it was a better value to wear a different dress that didn't need alterations, which saved me money. She took her time to help me, even thought it didn't result in her providing me an alteration! She helped me in one other way - the dress I will end up wearing is too short for the heels I already have, so I was going to have to buy new shoes. Sandra also carries shoes for sale, much to my surprise. I ended up purchasing a great pair of low-heel sandals for only $99 - much cheaper and much better quality than what I was seeing online. I am really happy to have met Sandra and to have her now as my trusted seamstress. She says she can also alter non-formal wear, so I will be taking my business suits and dresses to her and sending my husband to her as well. Thank you, Sandra!

A few years ago, I had a bad experience with Next, which is now YB. I always want to support the…read morebusinesses in town, so decided to give them another try. Bad decision. I brought a comforter in to be washed. I asked what the cost would be as I didn't want to end up paying more than what I've paid at other places, but the clerk said he had to check with his boss and they would call me before proceeding. Never got a call. Over a week later, I stopped in to ask if they were able to let me know the cost, so I could proceed with getting it cleaned I was told that It had been already been washed, but I was never called to be advised of charge. The manager was there and he took 10% off my bill, which was good customer service. When I got home & took it out of the bag, it looked like whoever packed it just shoved it in, without folding or rolling and it was beyond wrinkled. Looked awful! How do you iron a huge, thick comforter. I called the owner/manager. He told me to bring it back and they would take care of it and call me when it was done in a few days. Over a week later, I called and was told they would call me when it was ready. No call again. It's now getting cold and I want and need my winter comforter. I stopped in again, explained what was going on to the very nice gentleman behind the counter and he said I would get a call from the owner/manager. At that point I explained told him that is a phone call that never comes. I asked him to please tell the owner/manager that I wanted my item back immediately, with or without wrinkles. There was no reason for them to have it almost 3 weeks! That night, it was left on my steps. Although it looks like some of the winkles came out, it was still wrinkled, so I'll buy a hand steamer and take care of it. How this place stays in business is beyond me. The only 5 star interview must've been written by a family member...

If you have a problem with ethnic slurs avail yourself of a different business down the street that is cheaper with excellent service and a sincere smile. No way to win over customers for the long or short term. If this was supposed to be funny the owner missed by a mile. I am no longer a customer and suggest the owner reflect on her obvious distaste of my religion in a city that doesn't put up with "anti anything."
