They have a very large selection of video games and compared to other stores around, they have good prices. I wanted a new Nintendo Switch 2, had several old systems to sell, and wasn't quite sure of my options. They were super helpful, gave me what I considered a good price on my used trade-ins, and worked with me to place my order. One note of caution: they are in the same plaza as a popular pizzeria and parking is tight at mealtimes, especially on the weekends.

As much as I avoided leaving a review all these years, wanting to keep my secret fishing hole secret, I'm leaving one now because I honestly don't know if they'll still be there July 2021. One of the owners has been sick, they're not getting any younger and I'm sure the COVID 19 epidemic didn't help. I was there a few weeks ago, unpriced albums seemed to be $1, priced albums were half the marked price. Unpriced 45's seemed to be.50, priced 45's were half the marked price. I've never looked at their Classical albums, they have a lot so a fan might do well. I've skimmed through the Soundtracks and Original Casts, have occasionally bought something but never looked deeply. If you've got a jukebox and are looking for records you'll do well here. They also have 78's and CD's. Two July's ago I picked up a Hank Williams 78 and a Sonny Boy Williamson 78. Full disclosure, you're not coming out of their with any rare Rock or Jazz. I've seen that stuff dwindle down. Three July's ago I found a mono Jefferson Airplane "After Bathing At Baxter's" and a Leigh Stephens "Red Weather", this year the best albums I found were a promo Brinsley Schwarz "Silver Pistol" and the Fraternity of Man album. There's lots of books too, I've bought quite a few music biographies here. My understanding is they are only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 11-2:30. The phone number is listed here, I'd call first or text. I texted and received a fast response. One last thing, I just added this business to Yelp! thinking that they could use the support and I'm sure the sales. It's my thank you for the six or so years of giving me someplace to go on my "vacation from my vacation". If Bob's Books & Music isn't there next July it will be a very sad day in my life.

For example, the record albums are all in fair to poor condition but priced as if they are near mint. Currently, they have a Led Zeppelin album (Coda) that is in a poor, disgraceful condition. It has mold/mildew stains and odor, split seams and when you open the gatefold there is a large tear in the paper. The record is equally bad. They want $25 for it. It's a record you would find in a $2 bin anywhere else. I purchased this same album from another record shop in the area. I paid $20 for it in near mint/like new condition. I noticed the same theme with all their records. I saw Rolling Stones albums from the late 60's that were in deplorable condition...all were marked $20 and higher. I could find very few records in decent shape that were worth playing. The books were priced somewhat better but still on the higher end for the conditions they carry. Bottom line: If you want to spend a rainy day just browsing here it may suffice? However, when it comes down to purchasing items from this store you would be well off to compare prices online and with other venues.

Not to mention the others do not specialize in classic games and systems. Pastimes Legends really is a one stop game shop. I've also used them to have systems repaired in the past as well. No complaints with that service. I don't know that there is really anything else to say... the staff in knowledgeable and helpful. 5 stars. Anything video game related... new or old... Pastime Legends is the place to go.

FlipSide Gaming SAVED THE DAY! Huuge shoutout to Kailer who helped me out…read more I'm not knowledgeable about TCGs but my partner was really excited for a new release. I pre-ordered the booster packs to surprise her without realizing that we can't even play the game without the resources from the "starter/trial decks". By the time I realized we needed these decks, NONE of my local game shops had any in stock and online listings were all scalpers selling for 2-3x MSRP. I contacted FlipSide gaming about re-stocks on the trial decks and they said they don't have an ETA but to sign up for their notifications. Perfectly reasonable response and I thought that was that. However, later in the day, Kailer contacted me back and said they received some returns for the starter decks and set up an invoice so I could place an order!! They totally could have just sold these in store or increased stock online - they would absolutely sell. But Kailer went out of his way to contact me back and manually set up an invoice for the purchase. Now we can actually play this game without having to pay scalpers!! THANK YOU KAILER AND THANK YOU FLIPSIDE GAMING!!

Very disappointed with my recent experience with Flipside Gaming…read more I purchased a booster box case when it was $850. Instead of being properly protected and double-boxed, Flipside placed the shipping label directly on the case and shipped it that way. The case arrived damaged. I reached out to customer service expecting an exchange. Unfortunately, they would only offer a full refund -- no replacement. What makes this even more frustrating is that the same case is now listed for $2,000. I'm left with a refund for an $850 purchase while the company can sell that inventory for significantly more. Regardless of the market price, customers should receive the product they paid for, especially when damage occurred during shipping and the packaging provided little protection. If you're ordering a case from Flipside Gaming, be aware that it may not be double-boxed or shipped with additional protection. Very unhappy with how this was handled and the overall customer service experience.
