I have been using their service for over 6 months now and the quality is awful. I regret switching to them. I requested that after they mow to just use the edger. They continue to use the trimmer around the lawn edges and it looks awful. They are trimming it down very short around the edge of the lawn instead of just using the edger. read more

As supposed lawn care specialists, do you take into account how much wind we get in Plano? Next time you are waking up toddlers from their mid day nap by making my dogs bark because you can't seem to figure out marketing, take a little stop on the bridge on Parkhaven and see all of your flyers that have blown into the water along with all of the other great businesses that seem to have me in their best interests. read more

College Fund Landscaping (CFL) is a great company. Their work at our home has been consistent and the quality is exceptional. In addition to mowing and weeding, CFL has done irrigation and a planting project to replace all of the landscape affected by the freeze. Excellent work ethic and honest. read more

I highly recommend CFL. They are very responsive and have been great so far. I found college fund landscaping from a referral on here and I felt compelled to share my experience with everyone. I highly highly recommend them to anyone!! We hired them for regular lawn maintenance as well as some serious shrub and tree removal and help. They are so very accommodating, easy to work with and wow.... their pricing is better than I've seen in a while. Especially for what we have had done so far. As happy as I am with their lawn maintenance, I was blown away buy their shrub and tree work and pricing. I had 2 relatively small trees cut down, 10 shrubs pulled, everything shaped and trimmed and they did exactly what I wanted and more. And again - the pricing was wonderful. read more

Update!! I posted the review below before the owner called me and rescheduled it and corrected it. The still skipped my courtyard and just do the back yard but at least that was done. :) I scheduled them yesterday to come out today to mow my front and backyard including my courtyard. My husband left the gate locked and took the key so they would have been unable to get to the courtyard and backyard. I called first thing this morning to see about a possible reschedule. A woman called me back and stated that I have to give 24 hours notice for a cancellation! I scheduled it not even 24 hours ago and just needed a reschedule, not a cancellation. She was unwilling to do a partial charge since my front yard is extremely small (zero lot). She said she emailed me a contract??? I didn't sign anything nor did I receive an email. She said I would be contacted by the dispatcher after 12 when he got in. It's 1:36 pm now and I am just annoyed with this company due to this woman who doesn't understand how to work with a first time customer!!! read more

College Fund Landscaping, is NOT the company that will with you. Matt Davis, the owner was great at first, but when I needed additional work to my yard, he was NOT so willing. I tried multiple times to contact Matt and asked him to come out to the house so we could discuss some of the ideas I wanted to incorporate in my back yard, all I ever got back from him were emails, never a phone call. In other words, he never came out to my house after the first initial meeting. Then, we needed to have some sprinkler heads moved in the back yard, Matt did have someone named Patrick who I think works with Matt Davis contact me to move them, but, when we told Matt that we thought that the quote was a little more than we wanted to pay, I immediately got an email from Matt, saying he was going to release me from my contract. Ask yourself, is this the kind of frustration you need in your life..... read more

We had our small backyard sodded by CFL in March 2017. Total cost was around 1500. It is now August and we are dissapointed in the way the yard has come in. You can still see the lines were the sod never grew together. Thinning on half the yard as well as browning throughout. We have done everything that new sod requires and when we contacted the owner on mutiple occasions, he wanted to CHARGE us to fix what he said was diseased grass from the very beginning. He also wanted to charge us for another pallet if we wanted them to replace the grass. Very poor business practice by trying to nickel and dime the small home owner. Just beacuse we didnt pay 15,000 doesnt mean we arent just as important. The bigger companies arent always the best. If youre looking for sod installation, i would take your business someplace else.
