I've started going back to The Hall CP -- it's been a long time. The break wasn't intentional, I just got so busy, haha. But we're back, baby! The first two rows closest to the Hall have free parking that is designated for it. You can skip paying for parking for the lot more broadly. There's also free parking on the other side of the strip with WeWorks, and there's a staircase shortcut you can take instead of walking all around the building. Seeing as they usually hire staff from campus, I was not surprised to see a bunch of new faces, but I recognized some old ones. If you plan on drinking, they still give you a wristband at the front after you show your ID. I've always wondered why they do that -- I guess it saves a step of checking IDs at the bar, haha. The current theme is a Southern Honky Tonk, and there's lots of cool sliders, whiskey-based cocktails, and such. I was devastated to see that the iconic lavender lemonade is gone, but let me tell you what I love: Odilia's Nachos. It's chorizo and shrimp nachos on a delightful platter, and during happy hour they're $7, and it's a whole meal! Every bite was so flavorful and it made me so happy. I'm not quite sure when that got on the menu, but I hope it stays. Cheers to more fun times at The Hall, and I can't wait to see what summer is going to look like for them!

What a wonderful evening to have dined outside! The food and drinks were great and definitely worth the price. Loved the service with a waitress who was very knowledgeable and attentive. We'll be coming back with our puppy since dogs are welcomed here!

They have two sides of the bar as well as an overflow/party room and when it's warm they have great outdoor seating. We say at the bar and honestly had the best service of our lives. I want to give a huge s/o to Jake for going above and beyond and making sure we were well taken care of and giving us such good suggestions. If you sit at the bar and see him please be sure to give him a $20 or more tip he's truly amazing. We got the bag of fries and wow it's huge and the fries are hot and seasoned fit for a queen or a king. The honey old bay wings were so hot crispy and the sauce was a 10/10 oh my I'm still thinking about them. We also got the tequila mule and it was perfect great experience

Rating: (3.5 out of 5 stars) We had a decent experience here. Okay decor and huge outdoor seating. You can play giant checkers and paddle ball. The dishes we ordered (chipotle grill chicken) were fresh, hot, and delicious. Fresh brick oven pizzas and mozzarella sticks. However, our server was hard to flag down. They were definitely unstaffed this day. The food brings me back, but the service keeps this from being a 5-star experience. Solid 3.5 stars.

From beginning to end... We arrived, there was a short wait despite the line. The person checking us in was respectful, patient and professional.GOOD START. We are seated at our table. It's not the cleanest table, it was like they pushed all the crumbs to one side of the table and said..."good enough". The waitress comes, she's nice enough. But really couldn't tell us what is good...you know really good and popular on the menu. Uh oh. We order, they say they've been busy all day and the kitchen is backed up, fair enough. We waited for our food longer than expected but it wasn't too long. Food here. Yay! The food...my daughter has chicken fingers and fries. She liked it, I tasted it, it was good. The Monte Cristo Burrito...mediocre at best. Don't waste your money on it. Also we asked for hot sauce and the waitress brought us an empty bottle and said, "this is all we have left". My thought is she'll find another bottle when someone is done but that never happened. Oh yeah and the drinks on the menu they didn't have them all, I'm okay with that it happens. Overall this place is a 2.5, but I'm going by to give them a three because it wasn't all bad.

Attended a successful and fun event at the Hall. The event was hosted in a large room with separate bar, entrance and the stage in place. Atmosphere was decorated properly for the holiday and open concept. With optional outdoor seatings available. If I remembered it correctly, the maximum indoor capacity is 250 people. For this particular event space. If you have more than 200 guess the outdoor space will be opened up for additional rooms. Our food and drinks were catered from the hall . For the drinks, they were very accommodating. For our open bar, we had options of everything you can think of , including from wine, whiskey, tequila, sparkling wine, beer, and more . Our catered food included steak, ham, deviled eggs, chicken, salmon roll, vegan options and many delicious desserts. Staff at the hall were super friendly, considerate and helpful. Many are students of University of Maryland. We should definitely support them and be kind when visiting. Props to the hardworking kitchen staff. They worked so hard and made our experience very memorable. Thank you Highly recommend by @WineDinenVacay

Great option for wedding rehearsal dinners and large gatherings. Came here for a wedding rehearsal dinner because we had a big wedding party and the prices were decent, the place was close to the wedding venue, and the restaurant could accommodate over 20 people. There is lots of space here and they had a sectioned off area for the wedding party to have a quick dinner on a Friday night. The service was reasonable given all the orders and the beer was great. Overall, a great option if you are getting married or have a big event in the area and need to have a large space for lunch or dinner at reasonable prices.

Hey friends! I found the perfect summer spot with strong drinks, a beautiful outdoor seating and music. I've been eyeing this place for a while but I was skeptical because it's in a college town & I didn't want to be around annoying college kids lol. But I was pleasantly surprised to see a diverse crowd of all ages. There's plenty paid parking at $3/hour. There's no free parking at all, so make sure to budget for that. I recommend sitting outdoors, the patio is really nice with a tennis court, the perfect lighting, a swing and wall art. Service was amazing. The hostess was super sweet, we had a nice convo while I waited for my table. Our server was amazing, I'm sad that I didn't get his name, I would definitely request him again. He was attentive, friendly and made some great suggestions. He was also patient with us after we had a couple drinks lol! The food was good, nothing exceptional. I had the mushroom ravioli. As a vegetarian, I was super excited for this dish but not very impressed. It was flavorful and the texture was nice, but unfortunately it is dry. A sauce such as Alfredo would compliment this dish well. My buddies enjoyed their Bulgogi bowl and Margherita pizza. The drinks were amazing! I ordered a Long Island but received a Strong Island lol! I definitely recommend The Hall CP for your summertime hang out! Make sure to check out their happy hour from 4pm-7pm on Wednesdays- Fridays. Have fun and be safe!

Cute place. Loved the large inside and outside seating. Felt like a brewery but was a restaurant. They have LOTS of fun drinks, and at a reasonable price too. I got their hot honey pepperoni pizza and it was very good. Soooo filling though. I was stuffed about halfway through. As mentioned, the layout of the place is what I really loved. There was lots of seating, very open, and even a few pickle ball courts, which was fun. They also have a expansive menu, so if you're with a group, I think it would be easy to 1. Get a table and 2. Make sure there is something everyone likes on the menu. They really have a little bit of everything.

It's been at least 4 years since I've been back to College Park. I've heard great things about the Hall CP so I was excited to finally visit for an alumni happy hour during homecoming weekend. I loved that there was free parking available for patrons. The menu had a great variety of options and the amount of space and seating inside was ample. I opted for an appetizer because I wasn't too hungry but I know I needed to eat before drinking. The Brussel sprouts were very good. I also sampled my friend's street cauliflower and that was good too. The drink menu also had many great options but we both settled on hibiscus margaritas which was very refreshing and strong. Looking forward to going back soon.

Although the space is on the smaller side, there was plenty of bar seating, an ample number of booths and the drink prices were a good deal. If I lived a little closer, I could see myself dropping by much more frequently. T he only downside that felt apparent to everyone I came here with, was the strong smell of fried fish. I personally wasn't too phased, assuming it as part of their menu. But the longer we settled in we realized it was coming in from an adjacent business which is incredible hard to control. With that being said, we smelled like fried fish when we got into my friends car and the smell followed us everywhere for the rest of the night. At first, you'll see what looks like just a pizza shop -- but if you head in and either use the side door or walk through and climb a set of stairs, you'll find the speakeasy upstairs. Very cool vibe: dark, cozy, and date-night ready. Drinks: 4/5 I ordered their take on an Old Fashioned, and it was definitely the highlight of the night but sweeter than I would have liked. They served it over a stamped solid block of ice (a small detail I ). My friend was abstaining from alcohol that night and asked for a non-alcoholic cocktail. To our surprise, they didn't just hand her a lemonade like most places -- they actually made her a crafted virgin drink, which she loved. Food: 3/5 We ordered fries and a slice of pepperoni pizza. The fries turned out to be waffle fries (not mentioned on the menu) and were overly crispy, so not really our favorite. The pizza was fine -- clearly sourced from the shop downstairs -- but it leaned oily and didn't really wow us. Service: 5/5 Pretty standard -- nothing over the top, but not neglectful either. Drinks came out reasonably fast, food followed, and we were checked on enough without it feeling pushy. Vibes: 4/5 The speakeasy itself is definitely the selling point. Dark, intimate, and stylish -- you feel like you've found a little hidden spot. All in all, the cocktails are the reason to come, especially if you're into whiskey. The food was forgettable, but it's convenient that you can order pizza upstairs. We spent about $30-40 for drinks and snacks, which isn't shocking for Old Town. Would I go back? Maybe if I was already in the area, but for a dedicated whiskey night, I'd probably head somewhere else.

My group of 5 enjoyed a variety of their drinks and dishes, sharing 3 appetizers, enjoying 5 entrees, and indulging in two of their desserts. I started off with an alcoholic Mai Thai. Food wise, I had their grilled oysters, brussel Cesar, fried chicken curry dish, trifle dessert, and sorbet. As a non-seafood person, it was a big deal for me to try their oysters. I started slow with just their grilled oysters. They were drowning in garlic and butter, so it was hard not to like. The Brussel cesar was also a solid shareable. I appreciated that the salad did not come drenched in dressing. The curry friend chicken was phenomenal! The chicken fell of the bone so easily and was so crispy, moist, and overall outstanding. The curry and impossible rice paired perfectly with it. Finally, the desserts! I could have eaten two of the trifle dessert...it was smooth, creamy, and the perfect amount of sweet. It was everyone's favorite between the two. The sorbet was good, but I found the white chocolate a little weird/awkward since it was sitting around a bunch of cold sorbet...didn't melt or mesh well with the dish. It wasn't bad, but I'd try something else next time. Overall, I loved this place. The vibes, staff, and food were amazing. I can't wait to introduce more friends to this gem.

We were told about off-menu options tomahawk, ribeye (out of stock), and branzino. We went with the branzino and a potato hash that turned out to be exactly what it sounds like: cut up potatoes and what tasted like powdered eggs straight from a hotel breakfast buffet. The branzino needed salt, pepper AND hot sauce to get there, that's not a seasoning preference.. The ambience and decor remain the highlight genuinely a beautiful space.
